During a trip to Fort Worth in April, a friend and I stopped by Hotel Drover for drinks and to explore the property a bit. Wow, what a beautiful hotel. Located in the Stockyards and part of Marriott Bonvoy's Autograph Collection, the Drover somehow managed to feel luxurious, western, cozy, and lively all at once! We grabbed drinks at the lobby bar before wandering around the hotel grounds, taking photos, and eventually settling into chairs overlooking the little river/creek area behind the hotel. The outdoor spaces are stunning and incredibly relaxing and I loved all of the murals around! A huge shoutout to Victor, the bartender working that Friday afternoon. I gave him a very vague idea of what I was in the mood for and he definitely understood the assignment. He crafted me some sort of elevated fruity ranch-water-adjacent cocktail that was refreshing, delicious, and one of the many highlights of the afternoon. I completely forgot the name of it but I remember enjoying it - so much so that I ordered another one during lunch :) One of our other friends joined us later for drinks and lunch and, somehow, everyone except me managed to trip over the grass at one point or another. Oh, and not too mention, the great landscaping entertainment... haha! We can't all be perfect!! All in all, the Hotel Drover feels very welcoming even if you aren't staying overnight. You can walk around, enjoy the grounds, grab a drink, and soak in the atmosphere without feeling totally out of place. Relaxing, stylish, and very Texan. My favorite spot to sip on a drink and lounge outside in FTW!! I haven't stayed at the Drover, but I love coming here for the vibes. The hotel's lobby interior and exterior is absolutely stunning! I love the outdoor seating area with lots of chairs, sofas, and greenery. Today I got the Raspberry Jalapeño Margarita, which is genuinely one of my fav drinks in the Stockyards! We found an area that overlooked the creek and it was the perfect place to rest and relax. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area! read more

What an all around wonderfully magical experience we had at the Hotel Drover Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. We booked a a stay during the 12 Days of Drover and are highly considering booking again for years to come. It was wonderful and really a magical experience for our family. The experience in the Backyard felt really intimate especially the photos with Santa. It wasn't very crowded as only overnight guests were allowed in the designated area. My son really enjoyed the s'mores and hot chocolate station. Highlights of our stay include Cowboy Santa leaving a filled stocking on our door, the view of the Christmas tree from our window, and the exceptional service. If you're looking for a staycation, I highly recommend staying at Hotel Drover. The beds are super comfortable and the hotel is beautifully decorated this time of year. I had such a GREAT dining & overall experience here at Hotel Drover! My close friend's bachelorette dinner & night was definitely one we'll all remember & cherish. From the moment we stepped to the door to enter we were warmly welcomed by the valet attendees that complimented us. I did not stay here - I attended a wedding here at Hotel Drover in the Stockyards. We used valet services which was nice as we drove right up to the front entrance and entered a grand foyer. The restrooms were nice, the common areas were all filled with guests mingling. I did not have a lot of time to wander around, probably should have stopped by sooner as there were cute little boutiques in the lobby. I did buy a few cute bracelets to go with my look right before I walked to the party. The ceremony was done outside with a beautiful earthy garden setup and live 3-person orchestra. The reception was done inside the venue event space where the hotel's grand chandeliers hung high and there was an open bar in the back. Earlier, we had half of the outdoor patio closed off for the wedding where we had the interior hall bar open by the grand spiral staircase. Great place to consider staying if you are planning to be in Fort Worth's Stockyards area. It is on the pricier side, but the convenience to location, and the businesses nearby are literally within walking distance. read more

We stayed here as we decided to visit Fort Worth to go to our first ever NasCar race. We had seen the Hotel Drover but the price point had put us off slightly (we knew we would be out of the room a lot). We looked at the Marriott point redemptions and it was a really good deal so we decided to do that (heads up if you have points with Marriott as I think this hotel offers great value for redemptions). We arrived and were immediately made to feel welcomed. The hotel lobby is amazing and the staff were really welcoming and helpful. We were checked in quickly and given a voucher for a complimentary personalized leather luggage tag (something we unfortunately never got round to redeeming). Our room was ready so we went straight up. The rooms here are a good size and well equipped. The reason for the 4 stars is that none of the USB sockets worked in the room. For a hotel of this quality, and at this price, I would expect things like that to work. I had only brought a charging cable with me so this did cause some issues. The bed was comfy, we slept so well here, and the shower was great. We didn't utilize the bar or restaurant here so can't comment on these. I would definitely revisit if I was staying on points but I don't think I would pay the $900+ a night to stay here. read more

A really fun place: Ambience: Very pretty inside. It seemed to be an "it" spot. People all chill and friendly and the interior, at least where I was, was well appointed with comfy lounge chairs and couches with coffee tables. Being there on a Saturday night, these were at a premium. I saw turn over so we were able to vulture some seats. There was a really positive vibe in this place. Hard to explain. Everyone was not hyped or complaining about waiting for drinks...maybe it was Ft Worth more so than the place. I'm used to the DC Metro area. A welcome change. Service: Like I said earlier, it was a Saturday night mind you. Be prepared to stand in a long line to wait for a drink if there are no seats. There is literally a single file line that forms to order drinks and it wasn't short. I found out you will get a waitress if you are sitting down, at least we had one. Even in the lounge chairs with a coffee table. Food: We didn't eat food, but some ladies at the same coffee table as us ordered a charcuterie board and barely ate any of it and shared it with us. They ended up leaving it with us . I thought it was really good. The drinks were like any other drinks anywhere else otherwise. This place has been in a few movies and TV shows I was told??? Had the chance to stay at this place with my family and really enjoyed the vibe and location. My mother's family have been part of the stockyards since the early 1900s so I've had a chance to see many changes in the area over the years and what the they did with this property is absolutely spectacular. The pool area is very accommodating, although I wish it was a little bit bigger since they have so much area, but what they did with the remaining land that meanders along the creek is very beautiful and tranquil. A great place to have a drink and deep conversation with your friends and family under the oak trees. Nice lobby bar with plenty of comfortable seating and a solid restaurant.... And don't forget the patio area in front under the big neon cowboy or you could do some quality people watching. I give it a four-star as I nitpick the minor details such as there was no telephone charging station next to the bed, there was no towel racks by the sink in the bathroom and they left no room in the small refrigerator to store my medications since it was overflowing with items they wanted you to buy such as candy and Cokes and of course liquor forcing me to keep a ice chest loaded with ice, which is always a hassle for a long stay. But other than those minor details, what a blast this place was. We had a great time and I definitely would do it again. If you're going to visit this Western part of Fort Worth, 10x out of 10 your party is going to want to stop in and see this aesthetically beautiful hotel. Hotel Drover is a luxury Marriott hotel located in the Fort Worth stockyards. Many nights it will run for over $900 per night; however, you can often get good point redemptions here. Everything about the hotel is well designed and very aesthetic. The rooms had everything you needed and were quite spacious. Given the location in the stockyards, it is fun to go and walk around, but also stay in and enjoy the bar and pool on the property. One complaint is that the walls were pretty thin and you could hear people in other rooms talking. If you can get a good point redemption here, I recommend staying here. However, I do not think that it is worth it's normal rate especially given my complaint about the walls being thin. read more

BEAUTIFUL hotel with super friendly staff. My girlfriends and I indulged in a fun getaway here. Pool is beautiful and relaxing. Not a lot of seating, goes quickly as the place is bustling. The in room nespresso is SO GOOD! I Wish I had tried it sooner than the last day. They gave us more pods though. Vallet is the only parking option and it's $40/day. I do love how they give you waters while you wait though Rooms are okay size, we were promised an upgrade to a suite but it was revoked. Our 2 bed room was on the smaller size. I would love if you could get to the toilet without having to walk pass the glass door shower. It's beautiful but not practical for guests who are friends staying together. I probably wouldn't pay the price for this place but it was a fun experience. read more

I've stayed at courtyards better than this!! We decided to stay here for my son's birthday. When we checked in at the front there was no mention of the birthday and not even a note in the room. When we got to the second floor, my husband said it smelled like cat pee. And our room didn't smell much better. The downstairs amenities are nice, but it was overly crowded. There weren't even any seats to sit down. Someone else has mentioned the pool being small. While nice, I would imagine it about 6 times the size of a horse trough. Everything they advertise for dogs is false. You have to pay for beds, bowls, leashes. And they don't offer a bandana to access the courtyard. I think you do have to stay on the second floor, which is maybe why it smells like cat pee. A livestock barn would smell better. So I'd say it's less than pet friendly, more like being confined to a barn. The concierge will send you an exhaustive list of things to do, but when asked if we needed to schedule the car service we didn't get a response until the next day. So we walked. The rooms are nice, but tight. I'd say the location is the appeal. We waited about 20 minutes for our car to get out of valet the next day, because they only had one person working. Other than that, I think the fact cash rate was $1300, I expect 4 seasons service. And this is not that! And again, zero mention of any birthday for our 9 yo son. Also, one of the only marriotts I've ever stayed in that didn't thank me for my bonvoy loyalty. Maybe they were so slammed, the service is just too difficult. read more

The place is decked out in traditional Western comforts and kitch. Very well appointed, comfortable, and expansive. From the moment you walk in, until the moment you leave you are immersed in Western themed everything. From the staff, to the rooms, to the hallways, to the decor, to the food, you are surrounded and enveloped. The room (see video) was nicely appointed, comfortable, and clean. You even have a boot station to help you put on or take off your cowboy (or girl) boots. Filled with large furniture it felt a little cramped for as large as it was, but very comfortable. The service was impeccable. Friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The lobby bar would get very, very busy and you would have to shimmy up to the bar anytime you wanted service, no one was working the lobby bar except the bar tender that three nights I was there over a weekend. The event areas were nice, ample, and service great. The lady who would brand your own luggage tag with your initials was a hoot. The grounds were nice and it even had a little stream in the back. This is a review of their valet service only. I went to the stockyard 5/25/25 and parked in their public parking lot. Upon returning to my car, I noticed the car parked beside me was ridiculously close. We waited for about 10 minutes, hoping the owner would come back. I saw a velvet walking by and asked if he knew what I could do. He said the car next to me was parked by a valet. After 5-10 more minutes of waiting, he came and moved the vehicle. While he drove the car- he turned the wheel against my car to create more space- it scratched my rim. No apologies, no acknowledgment of any wrongdoing. Imagine if I drove away and accidentally scratched the valet car parked next to me. For valet to park their customers car so readily to get damaged is really not acceptable and how it hit my rim is also not acceptable. read more

This is such a gorgeous hotel. It's a beautiful combination of Western Chic. Many locals recommended visiting this particular hotel to enjoy the restaurant, bars, and atmosphere. We were greeted by hotel staff upon entering. All the staff members seemed very friendly. The interior design is lovely. I particularly like the hanging guitars on the way to the restrooms. I loved looking at all the artwork. The hotel has a beautiful back patio area to sit and enjoy once it's a bit cooler outside. The front had great seating areas, as well. The restrooms were very clean with large stalls and also brought in the western vibes. If you are visiting this area I too will pass off the recommendation to come in and visit. Hotel Drover is a luxury Marriott hotel located in the Ft. Worth Stockyards area. Well, we were at the stockyards and got hungry, so we chose to try the restaurant at the hotel. Well, the restaurant is very nice, with indoor and outdoor dining. We were seated and Jordan, our server, came over immediately and graciously took our drink orders. I attached pictures, so you can see the amazing hand-blown glassware. It was really cool. While we were savoring our drinks, we decided on the fried green tomatoes, the cowboy cobb, the caesar salad and the chicken friend steak. Very disappointed in Hotel Drover. We booked 12 rounds rooms for our family to come together for a few days and go to a Cowboy game. The hotel is PACKED full of people coming in from the stockyards and other areas to hang out. If you want a drink you stand in line like you're at the state fair. (Keep in mind you're standing in line with all the people that came in off the streets that aren't paying 2,000 for a room). Forget sitting in the lobby or outside with your family. The seats in both areas are first come first serve and that does not mean paying hotel guests. I understand the draw of people wanting to enjoy the hotel and decorations but I recommend paying for a room at the adjacent Hyatt hotel without needing to pay Hotel Drover's prices. Guest access is the same whether you're paying to stay at the hotel or not. read more

Overall, the hotel bar is a super popular spot and it is typically busy throughout all times of the day, and most definitely on the weekends. What I hate is that there's a single file line at the bar - we've had bartenders who are hospitable and those who act as if they're on Landman. Aside from that, the common areas and rooms are gorgeous here - but overall this is a nice spot to visit but amongst everything else amazing at the stockyards there are cooler spots to check out. My husband and I stay at the Hotel Drover every January to experience the rodeo. Located in the heart of the Ft. Worth stockyards, it's within walking distance to shopping and dining. The decor is amazing! Andy Warhol's John Wayne is just one of many iconic decorations. The beds and bathrooms are lovely. And the service is extra special. Great bar scene and pool. Wonderful place but, sadly, had an unpleasant run-in with staff. A few friends and I went to the Drover to have a cocktail after lunch at Joe T Garcia's. We found a nice spot outside. A couple of our girls smoke, so, as they were outdoors and didn't see any nonsmoking signs, they lit one to share. An employee soon came over and said the patio was a nonsmoking space. Understanding the mistake our friend put out the cigarette. Instead of "calling it a day" the employee took personal offense with our friend who put the cigarette out. (It's worth mentioning that our friend immediately apologized while putting the cigarette out.) The employee took our friend's water, put the cigarette in it, and observantly angry, took it to the bar to share with all the staff huddled around. She then came back to our group and said that everyone in the group could get a drink except for our friend who had put the cigarette out. Our friend was so embarrassed and upset that she just kept apologizing and saying that was fine. When I told the employee that multiple folks had a part of that cigarette, and that it was not fair or professional to single out the one person the way she was doing to, she threw down her notepad down and walked away. We did not see her again. What could have been an apology and a continuation of a lovely afternoon turned into a Very strange and unpleasant experience... read more

Pretty much immediately after my initial stay/review I was contacted by the hotel manager inviting us to come back whenever we chose and give them another chance. This offer alone speaks volumes about how much they actually DO value customer experience. This weekend, a little over a year later, we were able to take them up on their offer. We reached out last minute hoping it might work out. The manager and hotel went above and beyond to make sure our experience lived up to their standards and what a difference our experience was! Special touches that were missing in our initial visit were accounted for during this stay and beyond. The pool experience was much nicer than the last time and our room was phenomenal. We hadn't tried the restaurant 97 west the last time so thought we would give it a try this round. When we approached the host stand they said they were full, then asked if we were hotel guests. When we told them yes, they said that they always save a couple of tables for hotel guests and sat us immediately. I think this is definitely the way hotel restaurants should be operating! Any place that actually cares if your expectations were met and are willing to make things right are good in my book! And while we may not be able to visit too often, we will definitely be back and I wholeheartedly recommend. IF there is something you are unhappy with I'd suggest mentioning it in the moment so they can fix it, because they will! read more

Is the juice worth the squeeze? Not really. I love love love the hotel bar lounge however when you are charging $1300/night.... I expect turn down service. The sheets were a little rougher than I prefer. Our toilet room door would not stay closed (the hinge was not installed correctly) this was a constant annoyance. Their water must be hard because towels were not plush, more on the scratchy side. Many times entering/exiting the hotel, I was holding the door for our party. Front of house needs more hospitality training in my opinion. We enjoyed the hotel vibe but I wouldn't spend the money to stay here again. Probably better staying across the street at the Hyatt and just walking across the lot to wine and dine here. When you pay these prices, you gotta deliver the full package - no exceptions. read more

My review is purely off the exterior of this hotel. I haven't stayed here, but the hotel itself is beautiful. This hotel is part of the Marriott Autograph Collection. If the rooms are anything like the rest of the hotel I'm sure it'd make a great stay or even a staycation. We stumbled upon this hotel at the end of the Stockyards, and decided to wander around. It was so beautifully decorated for the holidays and just made you feel like you had stepped into a different western luxury realm. They have multiple lounge areas indoors, as well as multiple outdoor bars and lounges for you to enjoy right by the river (not sure which river it is). Definitely stop by and take a look around even if you don't stay here, beautiful TX culture and heritage represented within. read more

The weather was unusually cold and windy so everyone was coming into the Marriott to warm up. The drinks were good. The decor was classy cowboy. Gorgeoussss place to stay if you are visiting the Stockyards Area! I would absolutely stay here again. The team is helpful and welcoming, they know the area like the back of their hands. I arrived Friday night (after 2 delayed flights). I stand in line to check into the front desk, I believe around 10:15pm. I am not greeted or acknowledged and there is a couple (a man and woman in a wedding dress) in line in front of me. I wait for over 10 Minutes and see a bell man, and ask him if I can please check in. He says that someone is helping the couple in front of me and should be up soon. I wait patiently for another 20 minutes and still, no one comes. Finally Darrin comes out and announces "I just watched a tutorial." And continues to help the couple check in. They had gift cards to use for their wedding night. And they had to wait for Darrin to figure out how to use them. Then he checks them in, tells them he loves his job, he used to be a teacher and does not acknowledge me. I then ask the bell hope when the restaurant closes and he says in 11 minutes. I walked to the bar, and an angel straight out of heaven named Santi helped me get a drink and said that they could do guac and chips or salsa. I explained to him I had trouble checking in, and my 9 year old was starving and he confirmed we were staying at the hotel and went to the kitchen, and came back and let us put in our food order. He was so kind. Then I go back and check in, no apology from Darrin, told him how hungry we were earlier and I apologized. Looking back, this was such a terrible experience. I paid over $600 for 1 night and I feel like the whole experience made me never want to stay there again. While this hotel is beautifully decorated and in an amazing location our stay was less than desirable. We arrived so excited for our anniversary trip, but almost checked out early to go home. The thermostat was broken both nights in our room. Despite our Marriott Elite status we were unable to get a spot by the pool because it was too crowded. Management offered us a wooden pool chair without a cushion with the promise they'd move us when other chairs became available. Let's just say that never happened..... Two sleepless, hot nights at the Drover and no luck at the pool. We told management and they offered us a water bottle.... We will not be back and will tell our friends about our experience. read more

I got the feeling of they know everyone wants to stay there so no need to go out of their way to please the customer because they stay busy! The last time we stayed the service was implacable. The pool area with hot tub is nice albeit on the small side. They have 3 cabanas you can rent for around $400+ for the day depending on timer or season. Dining is excellent with a plethora of other choices for dining and shopping within a 2-10 min walk in the Stockyard district.
