We were flying business and had 4 stars hotels. In several instances we were joining a bus tour and some of our "excursions" (3) were private (and we did not go to Mount Fuji as we had been there before. (we booked additional ones on our own).We had to change our return plane ticket because we wanted to extend out trip. We received a quote from Goway which was 1800/person-"this is the airline quote-there are penalties and we don't make money from plane tickets". One of us called the airline, explain the situation and they changed the return ticket for 600$/person. Once that came to light we decided to take a good look for what we had actually paid for-not impressed. We are seasoned travellers and this one instance we decided to let an agency organize it for us. NEVER again-if you must hire this agency, at least take care of your air tickets- They gave us the usual "form letter" that they are service oriented, if we can help etc, -I am certain they have such letters on "speed dial" for lack of a better term). Copy their itinerary and book your hotels yourself (they do charge you twice for the same room, which we knew as we were travelling as couples. However, the hotel does not care-they rent the room period-noway and similar companies pocket the rest!) or look at other companies like Insight vacations or Kensington (for luxury). Since that experience, I stand well advised as to the way companies like Goway rip people off!

    We used Goway for a trip to Tanzania for an 8 day Safari and 3 nights in Zanzibar. Everything went…read morewell until we were scheduled to go to Zanzibar. They selected a well known, unreliable, unsafe airline, Precision Airways. Our flight to Zanzibar was cancelled twice. We were supposed to fly at 2:45 pm and ultimately ended up on an 11:40 pm flight, which was then delayed until 1:30 am. We saw our plane land,de-board, then immediately put us all on the plane with 0 safety checks. They also overbooked the flight and sat 2 passengers in the flight attendant seats. On the plane, it was incredibly hot, tray tables were broken, as well as the bathroom door. Once we landed, they had lost my sisters luggage. We spent our entire time in Zanzibar trying to get her luggage back, which we finally did with no help from Goway. Another passenger had mentioned her flight was cancelled 6 times with Precison on her way to Tanzania. Very disappointed in them putting us on an airline well know for doing things like this, with no warning. And the lack of support was appalling.

    Roy helped us tremendously with planning an Australia, New Zealand trip. So many little details…read more that made things go smoothly. Especially the airport pick up at Sydney to hotel. A real bonus was the hotel to ship pick up that included an expedited loading to our cruise room. Picked up at 11:15 am and by Noon in our room and off to lunch. The first email I got back was 3 lines, which ended with "Before I start, Are you working with any other travel agency offices". You wont help me unless if I want to compare prices?. Already a bad start but I hoped I was wrong... I wasnt. I was given minimal information, and I mean minimal - I got the boat name, a couple dates but all for the same cruiseline and prices which did not indicate if they included taxes/fees. That is less info then what I would get online. I had to make a request for more information about the boat, prices basically everything, for which I got a one or two line answer. I ended up doing all the research anyway and found a better deal elsewhere but when I notified the agent, she had the nerve to email me a nasty pouty response "I spent a considerable amount of time checking prices for you. My advise was given and I am sorry you did not see the value of using our professional services" Dont waste your time and apparently wasting their time is their primary concern. I dont know why they would bother being open for business if they are so unwilling to do the basic job.

I found the tour guide to be very unprofessional towards our group, but mostly me. We were a group of 20 students and 6 adults. The tour guide was very rude, and would snap at people if they asked a question. I felt that she targeted me, every time I would make a suggestion or make comment she abruptly told me to stop talking and that shes talking (even though she was not) My biggest issue was the fact that she said negative thing to one of my friends and colleagues and then tries to justify it by saying she had to many things on the go. I sent in a complaint about her to both her and the company, I received back a blanketed apology from her not even addressing my complaint. I replied back and the company said I need to step back and they will investigate. Nothing done yet, never heard anything back in a week. Clearly they have no intention of looking into the issue. As for the trip itself, was pretty good. Found it to be a little fast pace to really enjoy it, but did get to see more. Had mixed feelings from the students. I personally think that having a little less activities through out the day so to spend more time at a given spot and lengthen the trip to accommodate would make an improvement. I would strongly urge people to look else where. There are better company out there doing the same thing. Since the initial review, I have been in contact with customer service and sales rep, absolutely nothing has been done, and clearly shows nothing is going to be done. PLEASE don't support a company that once they have your money, they don't seem to care.

They go above and beyond to accommodate our needs and they understand the importance of the travel as we live in the Northwest Territories and it has its challenges. When I am on tour, the guides have all been amazing and truly know how to work with the students and the adults, providing tidbits, knowledge, fun, flexibility, and most importantly, patience.
