I really wish I could give this place zero stars, because if that was an option I would. This event venue, located in Orlando FL, was on the list of venues to tour for a client who has booked our company as their wedding planners. I submitted an online contact request on a Friday and received an response via text message on Saturday to schedule the virtual or in-person tour. Over the weekend I did not have time to respond but luckily I was contacted promptly on Tuesday morning via a telephone call to schedule the tour. Because I am located in Chicago, IL, the tour would need to be virtual, so I ensured that I communicated those needs to the representative. She asked me if I was willing to meet via WhatsApp or Facetime, but since I am not a WhatsApp or Facetime user, nor desire to be, we settled on using Google Meet. The tour was set verbally for 4pm ET on Wednesday and the representative agreed to send the link via email. The morning of the tour (today Wednesday) I reached out to via text because I had yet to receive the link to attend the virtual tour via our agreed upon platform Google Meet. I asked the rep if they had sent the link via email and they responded no, I then asked if the link can be sent via email. I waited to receive the link and after a few hours I reached out again because I had yet to receive the link. The rep responded that for some reason it wasn't working and asked me for the second time to use WhatsApp. I am not interested in downloading an entire social platform for one simple interaction, so I offered to use my Zoom bridge and send out the link, and the rep refused and proceeded to explain that WhatsApp is a free download and similar to Google Meet as if I am simple-minded and didn't understand. I was thoroughly confused at this time and sent a follow-up message informing them that I might have to go elsewhere if they are unwilling or unable to help me schedule the tour. The rep responded that they were sorry for the inconvenience and to let them know when I was available to schedule the tour another day. But scheduling on another day won't work either because this establishment obviously lacks the capacity to execute a virtual meeting in ways that work for the client. (i.e. free virtual meeting sites only) If they would invest a few bucks in a Zoom platform or any other subscription service for delivering virtual meetings, they could reach a broader audience. Tabitha made it seem as if they were uninterested in our money or business, because I am not open to downloading a social platform and purposefully am not an iPhone user, even though I was clear that we were ready to make a decision today and ready with payment. I even called the office shortly after the text exchange and was met with total disrespect, lack of professionalism and disregard as a client. I will NEVER patronize this establishment, now or in the future. My client, the bride also called to attempt to sort it all out and was also met with rudeness and unprofessionalism. I hope this review makes it to corporate and someone trains them on proper etiquette when servicing potential clients ready to spend thousands of dollars on their events. read more

DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE FOR YOUR EVENT!! THEY WILL STEAL FROM YOU. I am in pure disbelief on how you can trust a company to host a once in a lifetime moment for your family and they turn it into a nightmare. Not only was the staff rude to all of our guest to the point people left early, but THEY STOLE OUR CATERING FOOD AND DRINKS!! We gave them specific instructions to let our guest eat as much as they want and they went behind our backs to deny food to our guest ! The embarrassment after hearing that wasn't enough, they had the audacity to take over $2,000 worth of food home with them without asking, while leaving us with NOTHING. They forced our chef to leave and did not let anyone handle the food but their staff, which was a ploy to save as much food for them to take home for themselves. After several attempts to contact them for a resolution, they have done nothing but ignore us and block us on multiple platforms, including their CEO. We have multiple videos and photos of them taking boxes of food and alcohol we purchased to their personal cars while we were talking to guest while other employees would stand watch. PLEASE DO NOT MAKE OUR MISTAKE. Our 15 year old daughter birthday was ruined by their unethical practices and lack care for their customers. They will do the same to you. Please find a new place so you don't end up like us with a nightmare experience that we have to live with forever. My wedding was done on 8/9/17 ... I had called crystal ballroom in daytona to set up an appointment to do a tour and see if this is where I wanted to do my wedding. When we got there I met Alberto who was so fantastic , he dealt with us so professional, the pricing was great and everything about Crystall ballroom was just amazing. ONLY ONE MAJOR ISSUE!!! Place is nice and well staffed. I have my daughters Quinceñera there on 11/23/19. The entire event went well and the even coordinator Adriana was super helpful. The major issue is that they don't have enough restrooms. They have one male restroom with one toilet and one female restroom with 3 toilets. My guest had to go to McDonald's to use the restrooms. Male guest were asked to use the female restrooms. It was very embarrassing and an inconvenience to my guest. My guest that I paid for to attend the venue since the limit was only 100 people and I paid for 75 more guest. So beware if your planning on having more the 50 guest attend your event. read more

I went to a wedding here this weekend. But to the new one in Altamonte Springs. Its not really located in a good area and coming into the parking lot you think oh what is this!? lol But once inside it is super nice! The way the decor looks and the lighting. Their outdoor patio for cocktail hour is super nice. I really enjoyed the wedding at this location and perhaps may even look into having my own here in the future. read more

I left a 3 star review of this place for the 3 people that made me and my husband's day so special. I'll be as quick and precise as possible. 1 Star is for Sam. Really Sam deserves 5 stars all by herself. She came in at the end of our pre-wedding saga and saved the day. We had been dealing with Jessica up until the night of the rehearsal and the interaction had been less than pleasant. But once Sam took over, it was the first time since dealing with The Crystal Ballroom Casselberry that I felt like everything was handled. And it was...she worked seamlessly with my Coordinator and we both said we wish we had dealt with her the entire time. Denise gets a star because even though we got off to a rocky start she came through with the design in the end. A lot,probably, wasn't her fault and when I wasn't pleased with my initial design she corrected it the next time. Apparently, Jessica had sent me the wrong questionnaire that was for another location (Daytona). And nobody caught it! Denise had never even seen it before. And I was never notified. My coordinator and I had spent 2 hours filling it out and when we got to our design meeting we had NOTHING that I picked. And I took pics! I was horrified. I left disheartened, and upset. Jessica called (she had left for the day after knowing my design was a train wreck) and let me know we could redo it a week later (even though my wedding was less than 3 weeks away!). We pushed to have a redo sooner. Because I mean wtf! And then to charge me for things that were noted as free on the original questionnaire was a slap in the face. She ended up giving us the napkin rings "at no cost" but let's talk about the least you can do! My last star is for Adriana ...Adriana is a hidden gem at this location. Her deescalation skills are top notch. I stumbled across her after walking away during our first design meeting. She was in the reception area decorating for another wedding and when she saw me upset she showed true concern. She pulled out various things they did offer at this location and showed them to me which is so much more than what anyone else did. Talking to her eased my fears a great deal. When I went back to pick up my deposit I made sure to thank her. Let's talk about Jessica...who gets no stars! I don't know how she's still running this place. All parties involved had a difficult time with her. I started to defer my coordinator to her because she was giving me such anxiety. Even 2 days before the wedding she emails me about my insurance (that I sent) and that it wasn't accurate (which it was). The only thing she is thorough about is collecting money. After that she couldn't give a damn. She lied to us from the beginning on our ceremony design (my husband is still annoyed about that), she tried to short us on our time of entering into the building the day of, she is rude, continually sent incorrect information, and dear GOD she does NOT ANSWER THE PHONE. Deescalation skills 0. Communication skills 0. Stars 0. In spite of Covid (and Jessica) I had a wonderful event. Our guests are still talking about it. I really wanted to give these particular ladies their due despite my struggles with management up until the day of rehearsal (literally there was an issue the day before my rehearsal). If Sam had been in charge the entire time this might've gotten 5 stars from me. PS the chairs used in the ceremony and reception area could use a little face lift or replacement. Or both. read more

If you plan to book a wedding at this venue Please Please read your contract , unfortunately I obviously didn't read it all the way through. If you cancel a wedding you not only lose your deposit but also any monthly payments made toward the wedding. I cancelled my daughters wedding venue since she decided that she didn't want me to pay for an almost a $19,000 wedding not including the catering, flowers , Dj, champagne toast , so I made the $1500 deposit and so far 3 $1,514 and even given an 11 month notice the Crystal Ballroom Corporate office is keeping all the money , stating it's in the contract , well I just want to give everyone warning that this is completely legal on their end and they are not willing to help out a mother who has been working 3 jobs to give her daughter the wedding she really wanted, her and finance decided to just elope and not make this big wedding that was such a struggle and sacrifice for me to make . This Corporation doesn't have a heart or any compassion , I truly understand losing the deposit but keeping the payments when the wedding date is still 11 months is unjustifiable and cruel . So please read over the contract with a fine tooth comb I wouldn't want this to happen to anyone else especially during the Christmas season read more

have been trying to contact the home office or any owner of this location for a month now. I've been trying to change my date to next year and I've been told the fee to change is 1,800 on top of all I've already paid. No one has contacted me. I've sent numerous emails and not one person has called me. Jessica in the casselberry location claims the fee is because prices are increasing next year and because this is the 3rd time the date has changed. The other 2 changes were not up to me. Covid was in its full effect and you changed it!! Please have someone in home office call me to change at a decent fee!! I even asked Jessica for a signature receipt of the "contract" I signed. I have never in my entire life have had such a bad experience with any complaints in my life! If you can. The contract states you can change the date for a $500 non refundable fee. NOT 1,800!!! This place is so ghetto. The lady who greeted us had a very bad demeanor and acted as if we were an inconvenience to her because she hadn't eaten all day. If I'm a PAYING customer, I demand to be treated with respect. She was not professional at all. The area was extremely small and nowhere for the dance floor. Oh and the pictures area ??? Had my wedding here on 03/31. The event was absolutely perfect. All my guests were raving about how beautiful the venue was and how well organized and decorated everything seemed. The staff was super helpful before the wedding whenever I had questions or needed assistance with anything. They were accommodating for our rehearsal and the day of the event, the staff was so helpful and caring. They brought me food when I realized I needed to eat something, the organization of the food was very well done. The bartender was super sweet and was awesome at her job. So I'll start out by saying the venue was pretty and looked great in our pictures. We used the Crystal Ballroom in Clearwater.Though the flooring and ceiling in the building look rough in person. My best advice is get everything the tell you put in writing. The major problem I had was the staff. I would speak to in person or call/ email someone in their office, They never tell you there names and don't wear name tags or anything. Then when I talk to someone else they'd have no idea what I was talking about or say I don't know who told you that. Or say the opposite thing even though the last girl said it would be "noted in (my) file". They would call and text me addressing me by the wrong name or just call me sweetie incessantly. Even though I am a grown woman doing business with them. They would send me emails saying I needed to pay them even though I paid in full from the beginning. The base level decoration on the table is not the best. They up charge for everything. They tried to make me do my wedding rehearsal the day OF my wedding until I argued with them on the phone and said absolutely not. And finally the bar tender was drinking drinks herself at my wedding. Also if you use this location be prepared to play constant phone tag as they rarely answer the phone. I just urge you to consider another inclusive venue as there are so many others in Florida, if I could go back that's what I would do. read more

i had a meeting set up with them at both locations. They called me to confirm the day before. when i went i was met with closed doors, no one was there. The janitor showed me around. the owner called me two hours later and told me he has an issue with an event that was taking place that night (no phone call to cancel, and didn't make me feel secure at all that they could handle my wedding) He told me he would make it worth my while to just come back and see the place. So i rescheduled for a later time, finally someone was there the second time and the discount he gave was only 200 dollars. i informed them i needed to take all the information i just received back to the groom and would follow up. they did call and followed up but when i called them back to actually go head and schedule and book the place i was told that the person i was speaking to was not available and would call me back... My husband and I got married there Oct 2, 2015. We were very unhappy with the way things went at the reception. Staff was not friendly and the attendants took it upon themselves to cut and serve our cake without us having our "cake cutting" session as husband and wife. We've never heard of a place doing this but it was very unacceptable. When approached and questioned, they said our best man and my husband told them yes WE were ready to cut the cake not for THEM to cut the cake. When I called the manager Tara to ask for a refund of the cake which is only fair due to my mother-in-law, she had every excuse as well on why her attendant cut it and refused to refund us. She said it was a miscommunication. There is nothing worse than a professional place who can not own up to their mistake. My husband and I both have very professional professions and are disgusted that this is how we are treated after paying them thousands of dollars. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. The only good I can say is the place was decorated beautiful and the bartender was great!! Unfortunately this has had to turn into a legal issue when they could have refunded the 475.00 for the cake.
