I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place. I came in with a grand idea and they helped to bring it to life. I felt welcomed and was treated like a VIP. I left with an amazing vintage outfit from the 1920s, complete with matching earrings, necklace, gloves, purse, and advice on how to finish out my hair and makeup to fit the era. The attention to detail was amazing. I never felt pressured to purchase anything that was out of my price range or that I wasn't entirely in love with. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique outfit or accessories. You will not be disappointed!

They are only open Thursday's through Sunday so we lucked out. They have only been open in this location for a short while. They do a lot of estate sales and work with realtors and decorators, so they have some amazing one of a kind vintage items. The place is large inside (but tastefully arranges) so you'll want to take your time browsing. And there's even an outdoor area with trellises and patio related stuff. Around every corner is another treasure. But it's so nice to find very reasonable prices that anyone could afford to shop here. The co-owners were very personable and nice enough to patiently answer all our questions. Some of the large dramatic pieces (there's a huge elephant picture for example; furniture) each has a story to go along with them. And the gals are happy to tell you the background. As we were traveling in the area, we were looking at their smaller intriguing items -- teapots, candelabras, pillows, jewelry, small figurines, accessories, etc. etc. If you are a collector, you'll probably find something here you can't pass up to add to your collection. My only disappointment was that e didn't have more time to shop. We had places to go... But next time we are in the area, we will plan to really take our time.

But what really got me was her man employee that had to get the thing out of the store. It's like someone just ran over his cat and then backed back over it again in front of him. He was grouchy and uncomfortable to work with as I had to help him get it taken apart and then out the door. Not a thank you for helping him or nothing. So not only did I pay full price, I didn't get the whole hutch AND I had to do manual labor, but the worst thing of all was his demeanor. Put a freaking smile on your face dude. Or get out of the customer service business, you belong at the DMV honestly.

What an experience…read more.. I'm a self-proclaimed thrifting fanatic, and I grew up loving to go to flea markets and priced-per-pound places with my grandma. Maybe it was the heat, but this fleamarket just wasn't hitting when I visited. SETUP: You can really get your steps in here! Park and remember where you parked, then head in. Tons of shops to explore - like miles of it - and it's all covered. It's open air so no AC, but many shops have fans and some have AC running. They have each lane color coded on the floor, so you can remember you started in the red lane, then went to blue, etc. We still got lost haha. FOOD/DRINK: There are restaurants and bars here! Very fun to get a beer to drink while you walk. Most of the food was food truck style - pretty greasy and hot, which didn't appeal to us. SHOPS: This was the disappointing part for me. Maybe it's just not my style, but I was bummed to see it was mostly cheap bulk items and poorly made stuff at that. The t-shirt shops were selling cheap, misprinted Fort Myers stuff - but the prices weren't that crazy good? And they didn't have true tourist stores with souvenirs more than just t-shirts. Some of the shoe stores had some decent deals, a few record store scores, and I LOVED the few well-curated vintage shops inside. But otherwise, it was a lot of stuff I happily passed on. Some of the vendors were a bit pushy (the spa/skincare ones) but otherwise most left us be to browse. Even as a fan of thrifting, I found this to be overwhelming and underwhelming at the same time and likely won't be back.

You'll find things from trinkets to clothing to furniture and more. I personally love to thrift and this is like a mall for thrifters. BEAUTIFUL, HIGH-END mid-century antiques -- furniture & home decor! Written on Retro Home's online…read morepage is this: "Offering a wide variety of locally-sourced Mid Century Modern, Danish Modern Teak Furnishings along with vintage and retro accessories." Under this roof, you'll find many of the BIG BRANDS from the time period. That separates this antique store from most, and for that reason prices are higher than what you'll find elsewhere. But the brands that this sole proprietor offers are considered priceless by many experienced mid-century antique lovers who can spot quality pieces. She also backs up each mid-century piece w/ knowledge of it & the time period. Do NOT come here seeking bargains; they did not exist on my visit. But if you want authentic, EXCELLENT QUALITY furniture & decor from the 50's thru 70's, you'll be happy you stopped in. This mid-century shoppe opened in February 2021. Owner Joy had spent nine years in the local antique business, and she has lived in this area since 1978. (A long-term, local antique mall owner highly recommended we stop in here.) Joy buys and sells LOCALLY, often using her days off to visit individual homes & estates to select the merchandise she'll soon sell in her shoppe. SHE DOES NOT SHIP. However, she and her son will make local deliveries; that should be discussed @ time of purchase. Please excuse a previous Yelp review where the owner was referred to as a "snob" (w/ NO specifics provided). He awarded two stars for ridiculously unfair reasons-- for not being open when she was busy moving into this location (& had posted her hours online) & because "Scan Design" (that doesn't sell antiques!) can beat her prices. I found Joy to be friendly, professional, & knowledgeable. The shoppe hours are posted for all to see on Yelp, Google, Facebook, etc. They are Tuesday thru Saturday from 10:30 AM to 4 PM. Do not hesitate to stop in to see her showroom. It's simply BEAUTIFUL. I can back that claim w/ photos! The furniture & staging were so incredible that I couldn't stop taking pics:) If you still don't believe me, check out Retro Home's Facebook page. The GORGEOUS pieces almost jump off the page!
