The meat was as tough as boots, and the sauce was harsh, bitter and with no fresh ingredients that I could see...not even a token sprig of coriander. The rice was OK, the ochra I am told also. The Tarka Dhal runny and tasteless. The bill came. Ludicrous. Quite mad. 90 pounds for three with popadam starter and a main course. The service was patchy, the room gloomy with the walls covered in hearts which looked like they had been cut out by 7 year olds....in preparation for Valentines day, and the decor, white washed brick, was the same as when the restaurant used to be the Homestead 35 years ago.
