While you can walk in to this salon with no appointment necessary and get a haircut on the spot, good for the unprepared and spontaneous, of course the appointment approach is best. I quizzed the owner about costs for a haircut, very reasonable at under $30, however when I started probing about how much colour and other treatments would be, she kindly said I'd have to call later since she had a customer to attend to. I would like to be that customer because that screams of a great hairdresser who has your best interests at heart, you are numero uno to the hairdresser whilst sitting in the styling chair. This is a Wella salon, proudly displayed on their signage and it's a neat little salon. Great girlie time-out and a stylish hair style when you walk out the door.

I don't speak for all men, but my hair is not really a big deal to me. I leave it for three or four months to get my moneys worth and then chop it all off. That normally costs me $27. I know some men take their grooming seriously so they might like to look elsewhere for a haircut. The staff are usually quite friendly and will indulge in a bit of smalltalk - I'm Irish so chatting to complete strangers is nothing new. There is a high turnover of customers on the weekend so you usually have to wait a bit. I think if I had a special occasion coming up, I might go to Rodney Wayne but for a regular, basic haircut, this place is perfectly ok.

This is more of a "Shearing Shed" rather than a "Sharing Shed" - you're shaven, charged, then thrown back out the door all in the blink of any eye. There's nothing personal about it and its very obvious the people working there, at the very least the man who cut my hair, have little to no care about the satisfaction of their customers. I can only best assume that the way they keep business is primarily from unsuspecting customers who walk in off the street with a lack of knowledge of the place, probably to never return again - this being of the adult variety rather than kids - who are taken there by their mothers by no free choice.
