I guess I'll be tbe first official review on the second official day of the tailgate…read more We came from out of town for the Dallas vs Patriots game and decided to check out the new tailgate party since my husband is a huge Dez fan. I paid $88 for entry and husband paid $250. Both got us entry to the tailgate, lunch, lunch, open bar, and a raffle ticket. His level ticket got my husband a brief meet and greet with Dez Bryant. There was plenty of seating and bathrooms and a/c. Decent bar selection. Today's menu was jerk pork chops, jerk chicken wings, fried shrimp, Mac and cheese, and beans. There was a DU inside and out playing music throughout the event. There was NO parking available and it took me a while to get that info the night before. So be prepared to pay at least $80 for parking on top of your tickets. The good: Food was yummy, drinks were plentiful, music was good, Dez was personable and friendly. The DJs kept their energy high, even if the patron's energy was kinda low. Needs Improvement: We showed up 20 min after they were supposed to open and we still waited 30 min. Dez also showed up late, which wasn't that big of a deal but we did have a game to be at. The raffle: the info says each person gets entered into a drawing to watch the game from Dez's sky box. We waited and waiting for the drawing, but all we saw given away was tickets for the next home game. Maybe they gave the grand prize away later but we were some of the last people still there and missed kickoff waiting. Never happened, which is pretty disappointing. Opinion: I'm glad we went once, but I don't think we'd ever do it again. It'll either get bigger and better or it'll fizzle out. But I do hope it's the former!

I didn't go for a game, just wandered through, but even without a crowd it had that big Texas energy. You can feel the history in the bones of the place--like it's still whispering old Rangers games to itself while gearing up for a rugby scrum or high school football showdown. The architecture is part ballpark, part modern facelift, and part "we're figuring it out as we go." I kind of loved it. It was quiet the day I visited, but the views were wide open and the breeze rolled through like it had season tickets. From the upper deck, you can see the whole Arlington entertainment zone laid out like a buffet--Texas Live!, AT&T Stadium, all of it. Choctaw might not be the headliner anymore, but it's still in the show--and it's got charm, history, and a little grit left in the stands.

It's been around for a while, the brick ball park is becoming a thing of the past. When the Rangers moved across the street, I was excited to know that they weren't taking this one down. It's a beautifully aged ball park. One memory is of being in the park for opening day of the Rangers where they set a record for the coldest opening day for the Rangers at 31 degrees. It was cold, but it was fun. The vendors are plentiful and the views are great. Walking up top, you can look over the brick wall and see across the area, it's a beautiful view. The baseballs out front are a great touch. A lot the outside accessible areas are becoming restaurants, stores, and offices. It's still a beautiful ball park.

Our company provided each guest with three drink tickets, and many attendees -- including ourselves -- happily purchased additional drinks beyond that. Unfortunately, our experience with most of the bartenders was disappointing. We visited two different bar stations, and several bartenders came across as rude or uninterested, almost as if serving guests was an inconvenience. This stood out especially since the event was a large private rental, and guests were continuing to spend money throughout the evening. That said, one bartender truly made a positive impression -- Analilia. She was friendly, welcoming, and had an amazing attitude that completely changed the experience at her bar. She provided the level of service you would expect at a venue of this caliber. Despite the inconsistent service, we still enjoyed the event overall thanks to the atmosphere, food, and entertainment. I hope management recognizes team members like Analilia and works to ensure a more consistently positive guest experience across all bar stations in the future.

Chances are you're gonna find yourself here for pre/post-game of any event at Globe Life Field,…read moremainly when the Rangers play. That's what happened to my friend and I each time we're at the baseball game. There's plenty of bars and eating options here so you can get your drink/eat on before and after the field festivities. The Shift Arena area also contains several large tvs to track other sporting events. I get casino vibes from this place due to the bright screens and layout of the area with all the eating/drinking options. Too bad the state won't legalize gambling to make this happen but if/when they do, I know this venue is ripe for conversion to that format. While there is a cooler climate inside, it gets LOUD with the music blaring and the amounts of people that can pack this place. Fortunately there is outside space with seating and a couple bars outside when the noise is overwhelming.

So this is the new field for the Rangers replacing Globe Life park. While I think it's silly and a waste of $$$ to get a new ballpark considering Globe Life Park is less than 25 years old, I give this new ballpark some props for the fact that it has a retractable roof to make ball games more bearable during those hot Texas summers. Plus they've built around this area which include the Texas Live! venue nearby for entertainment and lodging purposes. As for the views of the ballpark, each time I've been here was in section 303 cause tickets are cheap at around $20 per head. You get a nice overview of the diamond and the outfield and the seats are very accessible via the elevator. As for concessions, I saw on Instagram that they have some special concoctions but it's on the first floor somewhere. Plus I have no desire to pay $7-8 for a hot dog or $14 for a beer; both of which are highway robbery. Some tickets do include credits you can use toward food depending on where you're sitting and how much you pay. But for now, the $20/ticket is fine with me as far as all I need to pay. I'll be sure to catch more games here whenever I find myself in the DFW area.
