This team has a history of being one of the most valued teams in the NFL but also one team that always comes up short in the postseason. Stephen A. Smith now has at least 4 days of material to work with from the horrible trade today of Parsons. I mean sure he wanted out and he pretty much just wanted to get paid but Cowboys team could have played a little bit more hard ball in this case. The team is known for their success in the 1990's. It seems all those highlights were captured on VHS, so not even on DVD's. This team in short has been a trash franchise for a while now. Seems like being a Cowboys fan is almost (not quite) as being a NY Jets fan these days. Jerry Jones is owner and GM so he just wants the team to make him back XYZ dollars and that is it. The Dallas Texans were the first Dallas NFL team in 1952, but moved and ceased to exist. In 1960, Lamar Hunt started and new AFL team in Dallas called the Texans. He used his dad's HR director of Hunt Oil Company to sign contracts and help set up the personnel management of the team. The HR director was a yelp elite friend of mine's dad. In 1963, Lamar moved them to KC as he felt he would have more success and renamed them the Chiefs. He also had other operations in KC he was growing. Another oilman, Clint Murchison, started the Cowboys. The fan-demonium all began way back in 1974 when I first sat down in a seat a few rows back right on Dallas' 50 in the old Cowboys Stadium. It was over. I was done....Dallas Cowboys fan for life! Attentively watching with pride, learning every nuance of the game, trying not to get too distracted by the DCCs (smoking hot in their iconic outfits with their signature moves!) or by "Crazy Ray," the energetic, always entertaining, unofficial mascot of the 'Boys for many years (may he RIP). Through the hey-days of the 70s with legendary Coach Tom Landry and his always present hat, and players like Staubach and Randy White to name only a few of the greats...the Cowboys became known as the "glamour team" of the decade. And, I was there! Through the bitter loss to the Steelers in Super Bowl X to the Cowboys second SB victory over the Broncos just 2 years later in SB XII! There was a little slump in the 80s. But then came the "Dream Team" of the 90s, under the guidance of the great Jimmy Johnson, complete will Aikman (with our now head coach Garrett as a backup), Emmit Smith, Irvin, Daryl Johnston....that raised the Cowboys from the ambers and brought them to 3 SB wins within a mere 4 year time span. And then there is now. Yes, the Cowboys have had three consecutive dismal 8-8 seasons - all in our bright and shiny new home. But the Dallas Cowboys of late, currently 5-1 in 2014...well, there just seems to be more confidence and hope than in many years. With controversial Tony Romo at the head - arguably one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL (haters: look at the stats: they don't lie) - and key players like Dez Bryant, Witten, and let's not forget Dan Bailey (f&%ing rock star!). And DeMarco Murray has a real shot at beating a rushing record that has held for over 30 years - if he keeps up the pace. And, he will. See, that's what makes TRUE Dallas Cowboys fans different from those of many other teams. We are not fickle. We are not fair-weathered. Yes, we can admittedly be stupidly optimistic even when we're down by 14 and there's under 2 minutes left in the game. "It could happen." But, you see....that's what makes us...and the team...so great. We never give up. We always have optimism. And we are still steadfast toward the journey of obtaining that 6th Super Bowl ring. We are #CowboysFam! Make some noise #CowboysNation!!!!!!!!!!!! This could be OUR year...just like any other one! 1971 - 1977 - 1992 - 1993 - 1995...2014? A few months have passed.. This team is still trash. I have never seen a team so unorganized in my life.

They should be renamed the "Dullest Cowboys" because other than the fact that they are actually incredible this year, they've been really painful to watch since Aikman was done. Terrell Owens celebrating in the lone star was utterly awesome. First-Hand Experience: Can't stand the Cowboys or the owner, who seem to think that they run the world or that it revolves around them. The cheerleaders get a 10 out of 5, the shiny new stadium gets a 10 out of 5, but why do they keep building new stadiums anyway? They already have one. It's absolutely bizarre. 3 in just a few seasons. Ah well. Couldn't really like this organization any less. I watched them play live in person 3 times... once at Texas Stadium. Once at the new stadium. And once on the road in Washington. They're not a bad team but I just loathe them. I've been to every cool stadium in the UK & North America, due to my obsession with travel & sport. I've toured America as a musician for 7 years. Anybody who's met me in person knows I'm a Cowboys fan. I have a tattoo to prove it, after all, that I got in Dallas in 1998. I grew up in Dallas, and was exposed to the Cowboys' brilliance in the early-to-mid '90s. They had the Midas Touch; everything they touched turned to gold. But, then... Then, in about 1997, they attempted royal suicide. They became King Minus: Everything they touched turned to shit. You can blame Jason Garrett. You can blame the offensive line, or the defense. You can blame Tony Romo. You can sure as hell blame Jerry Jones for not firing Tony Nogo long ago-go. The fact is, the entire team sucks complete ass at this point. They lead the league in penalties, and that has cost them many games. If they ever get their heads out of their asses and get their shit together, I'll proudly display my tattoo again. As it is, I am proud to consider myself a fair-weather fan at this long point, and I will wear a bandage over my tattoo... a bandage which will be adorned with ketchup to resemble blood, to show how much this "team" has hurt me. read more

I'll admit, this is more of a pep talk to my fellow Cowboy fans than anything else. The Cowboys defy logic and yet they are logic epitomized. Like the Israeli nation ( same standard colors) these entities have been hated, discounted, written off through most of their history, and their is no logical reason for their resurgence. Yet their heart keeps on ticking. Let's examine their history and why they are considered America's Team. Twenty consecutive winning seasons which is a record to be matched by any NFL TEAM , a coach that was an Army pilot, pow, devout Christian (although not Catholic - nobody's perfect) that was the architect that changed Nfl history. A quarterback that was " Captain America" because of winning the Heissmann Trophy , serving in Vietnam as a naval academy graduate, and commandeering numerous come from behind victories while being a devout Catholic and family man. This was followed by Danny White who lead the Cowboys to three Nfc championships. Within seven years the Cowboys we're back in the playoffs, and vying for an NFL championship. The rest that followed was epic: Three Super Bowls within four years. Troy Aikman ( a fellow Scot) to become the most winningest quarterback in any decade. Look, you can lionize the Patriots with their ersatz record having benefitted from no other team in their division being contenders for champions. However, the Cowboys did it the hard way. #291-2016: Not EVERYTHING in Texas is bigger and better. That is an argument I could carry on discussing for hours at the time. But suffice to say that both bathtubs and sports' teams from the Lone Star can barely stay afloat. Considering the average height and weight of Texas natives, one has to wonder why such small bathtubs are implemented, but that would probably have little to nothing to do with this reviews... Except the fact that said bathtubs are also present in the the lives of those playing in this team. So, here I am on track again. Dallas Cowboys are by far one of my least fave teams. Apart from cool and warm winter jackets, nice logo and color choice I really wouldn't find much to like about them.. Well, perhaps the way them tight white pants contour some might fine behinds here and there, but this is no beaty contest... far from it. Granted the team has an optimal practice field as well as a ultramodern and luxurious stadium, I question the reasoning behind auto-procliming themselves the best team around... But then again, we are talking about Texan pride... nobody does it better, stronger and greater. I could agree with other reviews whilst mentioning the cheerleaders are great, but that is part of the folklore and doesn't win the NFL title. Now... Thanks for another crummy season. As a lifelong fan, you've let us down once again. We're too talented for the results the team has given us fans over the past few years. While agree with the firing of Rob Ryan, I totally disagree that Monte Kiffin is the answer. The guy is 73 yrs old and his old "Tampa 2" Defense is antiquated in today's NFL. Also, Romo is not our franchise QB. He's above average at best, but not great. It's frustrating to watch young guys like Kapaernick, Wilson, Luck, RG3 in the playoffs.....while Romo continues to make bad decisions and is unable to win big games. Oh, for the days of yore when men with names like Staubach, White, Martin, Pearson, Dorsett proudly wore the silver and blue. Teams that had pride, cohesiveness, dedication, loyalty and a coaching genius eons ahead of his time (and the rest of the NFL). There was ownership who supported the team but let the experts handle the coaching. Fast forward to 2018...technology has given us beautiful pictures and flashy jerseys, a $2 billion dollar sterile dome of a stadium and a team that has only regressed. Mega-talent is recruited and well-paid and somehow never achieves the expectations. Players are more worried about what they'll wear on their Instagram pics than memorizing the playbook. Coaching has been mediocre at best, and ownership is like a cancer...invading and infiltrating all aspects of a team that's been slowly dying for years. Please, Mr. Jones, put down your ego and find the talent to lead this once-great team without your oversight. I can't fathom Tom Landry putting up with this, as you apparently couldn't either when you unceremoniously removed the best coach and leader this team ever had. Perhaps it is a curse, or Karma that's given you so very little return on investment since. Yeah, Jimmy Johnson was good and he had the most talented offense in the league, but you couldn't stay out of the house then either. There wasn't enough room for the two of your egos apparently. So now we are left with average to below average and more off-field incidents than ever as well. Shore it up now or you will never see the playoffs again. Of course, that's gotten to be the norm so it may not be the motivation anymore, if it ever was. read more

Great service, WONDERFUL decor (the 5 Lombardi trophies frankly go with anything), and, other than the moments of absolute frustration that make me want to cut a deal with USC and trade everyone on this team for everyone on theirs, you're frankly the best in town. It's tough when you have so much to live up to. When you've been so good for so long, and then you start getting bad reviews, you hire some bad management, your prices keep rising, and your product starts diminishing . . . it's tough. Then you make some good moves, you hire the right people. some things fall into place, and next thing you know, you're on top of the world! I forgive you for the Giants loss yesterday. I forgive Romo for the Jessica thing. I forgive Greg Ellis for faking an injury until his contract was renegotiated. I forgive Wade Phillips for not putting A LITTLE pressure on the team in December. I forgive Garrett and Sporano for doing interviews instead of game planning. I forgive Jerry Jones for going to Arlington with the new stadium. I forgive TO for playing hurt. I forgive Flozel for the false start. I forgive Flozel for the false start. I forgive Colombo for the false start. I forgive Gurode for not being able to snap the ball in the shotgun. I forgive Ware for being offsides. I forgive the coaching staff for changing the entire offensive scheme. I forgive Marion Barber for being too tired in the 4th Quarter to make a block. I forgive the team for thinking that they were going to the Super Bowl and forgetting they had 2 games to win before that. I forgive the defense. I forgive the offense. However, I do not forgive Roy Williams. I do not forgive Patrick Crayton. I do not forgive the special teams. We'll be back. Hopefully with a decent 3rd cornerback, a good replacement for Julius, and a GOOD young receiver that can learn from Glenn and TO before they file for social security (that's not that doucebag Crayton). I will always cheer for you. Always. Just take a deep breathe, take a step back, trade Patrick Crayton and Roy Williams for a 7th Round pick, and let's get 'em next year. GO BOYS!!!! read more

No longer the NFL, now the KFL (Kneeling Football League!) I was so disheartened to tune into last night's game only to see some football player kneeling while they were playing the Star Spangled Banner. I remember soldiers kneeling in Vietnam holding onto their friends dying in their arms. Kneeling during that song is like spitting on the graves of the thousands of men and women from many countries who gave their lives while suffering unspeakable pain and suffering so those left behind and future generations could live in the best country that God has ever given mankind. There is a time and place for protests, and you should have found a different venue. I have watched my last KFL football game until this absolute crap ends. I'll watch college football. The kneelers should start a go-fund me page and buy your own island outside of our United States and start your own country. We welcome you opportunity to shown the other 99 percent of us how to do it better. The United States of America is OUR country---and you can't have it. read more
