Do you have dance classes for 2 yr olds?

Hi there! Unfortunately no, we do not have any class offerings for 2 year olds alone; however, we do have babywearing class if that sounds appealing to you!

I purchase welcome pass but it only let book two classes for some reason?

Good morning! We tried to look up your account by name but cannot find it. Please email us at hello@ourdancefloor.com or give us a call so we can get it sorted out and get you on the dance floor! :)

The instructors are kind, fun and make you feel so comfortable. The people here are non-judgemental, uplifting and caring. I've always felt at least a little self conscious when exercising - at the gym, in the street, in group classes - but going here was the first time I was fully immersed in the dance and didn't feel the slightest bit concerned about how I looked, how my dancing was, or how I compared to the other students. Really just being comfortable around the pole, engaging ALL the muscles and having a good time is what it's all about. The time to look stupid and learn new skills is now! Pole + Dance Studios is definitely the perfect environment for letting lose and feeling empowered by what your body can do. Even if you don't have the upper or lower body strength to get all the way up yet, just trying it out is half the fun! Small class, only four of us plus the teacher (we had Krista Smithers as a sub and she was excellent). Everyone's required to wear a mask AND show proof of vaccination at the door. Hot tip: create an account and sign up online. Much faster, you can see how many spots are left in a class and I doubt anyone wants to handle cash right now. Only $40 for drop in classes. Newbie to a studio deal is $80 for 3 classes taken within a month. Highly loved this location and recommend this class! Taking a few more Intro classes and definitely looking into the Active Flexibility classes (all levels) next!

The instructors, especially Andrea, is consistently welcoming. I also find her easier to follow because her pants are not override and it easier to see the leg movement. Viki, the lead instructor, is nice on email but when I try to talk to her in person, I find the interaction awkward. Maybe it's me but I see her interacting with others. Come! Great music, energy, joy and movement. A great way to spend an hour.

Found free street parking a block away…read more Fast ticket check at entry and plenty of seating available inside, including small tables and even a couch in the back corner. Basic stage setup, a good sound system, and large screen to the right (that's also where the restrooms are located). No actual bar, but food and drinks were sold in the back, including canned and bottled beverages and tasty bites like empanadas and pizza. It was quite warm in there, with weak or non-existent AC, just ceiling fans spinning above. Luckily when the sun went down (which is late now due to the recent daylight savings time change), the temperature became tolerable inside. The live storytelling and musical performances were entertaining as usual. The host/producer, Scott, started out the show. From there, the comical readings from the teen diaries and journals of diverse individuals continued on stage for a little over an hour. No live band for this particular program, but one of the performers played us tunes on the guitar, which she created as a youth after heartbreak. I'm a fan of Mortified, and though this venue was not one my faves of those typically used for this event, it was a decent setting for a casual night out this past weekend, filled with laughter, awkward moments, and positive vibes. Also, Ashkenaz is a historic community center and nonprofit that's been around for more than half a century, dedicated to music, dance, and culture, which I appreciate.

We both came with ZERO dance experience and she made everything feel fun, relaxed, and totally doable. She broke things down step by step, was patient, and even helped us work through some frustration with each other during the process! Magically, we found out that we lived a mere minutes from each other. Lynn was nothing but kind and welcoming from day one, and she truly met us where we were as dancers with little experience. I had a membership for four 50 minute stretches a month and sometimes I wouldn't be able to get all four in for that month and they would extend the last stretch into the next month for me as a courtesy! I've gone to a lot of the staff before but my favorites are my girls, Molly and Lucia. They do book up pretty quickly so book your appointments as early as possible. Definitely try out different people cause our bodies are different and different people can help out different ways. I've tried to make sure to refer my family and friends to get stretches with them cause even if you are adamant about doing them yourself, it's nothing like getting it done by someone else especially an expert. Can't say anything negative about the Albany staff. They are amazing. I tell them all the time. Do yourself a favor and check them out. No pictures to share as I want to protect privacy when I come.

What I love most about the workouts is how adaptable they are--you can control the intensity simply by choosing the weights that work for you. So while everyone is following the same structure, each person can challenge themselves at their own level, which makes it approachable for all fitness backgrounds. I'm in my mid-40s and have spent my whole career sitting at a desk. For years, I struggled with lower back pain and was regularly seeing a chiropractor. But since building strength through the IBX workouts, my back pain has almost completely gone away. I still go in for the occasional chiro session for maintenance, but I rely on it less and less, which is huge. I haven't noticed any weight loss--if anything, I've gained weight--but I'm pretty sure that's all muscle, because I certainly don't look heavier. I feel stronger, more stable, and more energized overall. The instructors are all fantastic--motivating, knowledgeable, and genuinely good people. I was sad when one of my favorite coaches moved on to pursue something else, but I totally respect that, and thankfully, the rest of the team is just as great. I'm not a particularly social person, so I tend to keep to myself, but the community at IBX is welcoming and friendly. It's a space where everyone is focused on bettering themselves, and that energy is contagious. Highly recommend it--especially if you're looking to build real strength, take care of your body, and be part of a supportive environment.
