I have a skateboard collection and I shop The Dark Slide frequently. I live in CA and I still find the coolest decks, trucks, & wheels on their site. I highly recommend this shop. Who knew Iowa was cooler than California when in comes to a local or online skate shop. I haven't shopped their vinyl yet. Anyway, worth checking out. The Dark Slide is a smooth ride. read more

I pre-ordered a board for my SIL. Whenever I would email they never responded with a date. I finally threatened to file a complaint with my attorney general because I had said if it's not coming refund me ( I ordered it Early Jan) it's now March 18th and nothing yet. If they are honest then their customer service and communication sucks. I won't do anymore business with them ever again. read more

Not a very attentive customer service. I'd sent them 2 emails asking to cancel an order done in error (was not live recording I thought it was), and no response to the emails. They just went ahead and shipped anyway. Never using them again if that's the way they are. I wouldn't recommend you do either. Plenty of good shops out there who care about things like that. read more

They had a board posted online for free shipping. I have multiple screen shots showing this. So when I went to check out it was wanting to charge me for shipping. So I thought, hmm, I will reach out to the business. I contacted them and I got the owner. He did not give 2 sh#t$ about what I had to say. He basically told me that I was wrong and what I was seeing was not right. So after he patronized me a couple of times I sent him the screenshots of the price and the spot where it said free shipping. All I wanted was a hey, sorry but he could not do that. He kept on saying there is nothing to talk about. We went back and forth and like I said, I wasn't even expecting anything in return but a good owner would have honored the free shipping. A whopping 18 dollars is all it was and he lost a customer over that. Plus I am going to make sure that people are well aware of this guy's attitude. I have everything saved. There are better skate shops out there I would NOT waste my time lining this guy's pockets who does not give a damn about his customers. Again, I have proof of that. Never again DarkSlide! read more
