Fleet farms has everything you need. It's a one stop shop. They have farm stuff, food stuff, household stuff, recreation stuff, pet stuff and more! Immediately after parking (in a handicap spot) we were greeted by an employee asking us if we needed a motorized scooter because they offer it here to help make shopping easier. The biggest reason for coming here was to help socialize my dog (and to do some dog treats shopping). They are pet friendly here (I called ahead of time just to confirm) so I was able to walk freely with my puppy. All the employees are so friendly and my pup loved being petted by them. The dog treats we bought were of a popular brand name and reasonably priced. We will definitely be back! read more

This is one of my favorite stores to browse. But I definitely buy my share of bird seed from here. Unsalted peanuts. Dried corn. Potted plants. Flower seeds. Even shoes. Definitely great deals here even without the free membership card. Bird seed is typically a better value here as well & higher quality than the other stores around. This is a well stocked store with a lot of variation but at the end of the day it's just another big box store with more drawbacks in the customer experience than many of their local competitors. Stores like these usually lack any level of expertise from employees regarding the departments they work in and Fleet Farm Waukee lives up to this standard admirably. Not only were the employees I talked with unable to assist with my basic questions and needs, all three actively seemed annoyed to be bothered. I found what I needed even though an employee said they didn't carry that item. Interesting. I ultimately purchased my items at a competitor where they could answer my basic questions and seemed to be engaged in their work. As luck would have it, even though the price was the same at the competitor, the return policy is much more customer friendly and an in-store extended warranty was available (not available at FF). At the end of the day, I like the store but the people and some of the corporate policies make it hard to spend my money there when their competition seems to care more about me. read more

Fleet Farm feels like the mother of all Farm and Home stores. And as I entered this Ankeny branch last week, I got a distinct feeling that some folks (like me) were there primarily for the "Disneyland" aspects of this place. There are no rides, lines, or mascots around, but wandering the aisles is half the fun. I actually came to purchase some lawn bags for a home project and needed the assistance of one of the friendly and helpful employees to find it. He had a hard time at first, and I joked whether management tested them on where to find things. On my way in (or out?), I found a nice University of Iowa trinket, and got a few ideas on home improvement projects and pet supplies. I'm sure I'll think of some other reason to come in the next time I'm in town. read more

Review for curbside pick up. It was ok! Was able to find what I wanted online and in stock. Great price. Easy to order. Email confirmation for pick up was an 1 hour after ordering. Awesome! Upon picking up, there are NO signs around the building that direct where to go for pick up. Calling the store's customer service was not easy as well. Automated system made it challenging to get to the right area. Once I talked to customer service, her directions to where to drive up to were unclear. She tried to describe the lumber yard but called it the "Outside Yard Entrance." It could have been as easy as saying, "go to the back of the building that faces East." But it wasn't. Found our way. No big deal. Pick up was efficient. Good customer service by our drop off guy. All employees were masked. Great attitudes and helpful. Cool looking new store. Tons of people were walking in and out. All people were masked. We visited on a Saturday afternoon. I recommend using Fleet Farm curbside. I hope they figure out signage for curbside pick up customers though. read more

Just giving 5 stars as I was driving home I really needed gas, they are right next to another station and they were 20 cents less per gallon! Nonsense to have another station so close and so much more. Gotta give props for keeping prices reasonable. read more

My first visit to this new location was Not disappointing. Very well stocked, clean and plenty of assistance to help with your search or to checkout purchases. Probably one of the most impressive range of lubricants I've seen. On or off road equipment had several products to suit you needs. Amsoil, Royal Purple, Lucas, Motul and just about any other you may want. I love the outdoor section as it is very well stocked with just about anything to do with hunting & fishing. Closing Manager very rude. I totally understood the store closed at 8pm. For every employee that followed up repeating we close at 8pm.... WTF!!??? How embarrassing and how much time was wasted having to stop and talk to every employee. You take care of your Paying Customers! You dont push them out the door. If a customer is in your store before you close, you take care of them. You don't tell them to come back tomorrow. Poor customer service at this location. For an older employee who walked up and basically was a foot away from my face. Learn boundaries! Very disrespectful. Again, Manager at the customer service desk yelling we close at 8pm Multiple times... and the overhead speaker.. I GET IT! stopped in for a simple gift that would have taken 5 minutes... couldn't even do that. Kudos to Menards, Lowe's, Bomgaars, and Home D for taking care of customers after the closing hour has hit. Really should teach the manager and leadership team the importance of building relationships with members and guests. I probably will never be back to this location. read more

I love their new order and pick up system. You just go to the lumber pick up and they load whatever you ordered in the store in your car. I appreciate the ease and convenience of the whole thing. Fleet Farm has so much more than just your run of the mil farm stuff but they have an amazing candy and nut selection, small electrics, automotive and activewear departments. Worst customer service out of any chain store. Waited 25 minutes for assistance at gun counter. Was trying to purchase a holster and wanted to check the fit. Pushed the assistants call button and was ignored by the lone staff member that showed up. The drone did not call for another staff member or acknowledge my presence. I've been to fleet farm many times and they've adapted to the covid-19 virus well people are walking in and out with Mass and their staff have masks as well. for those of you that don't know Fleet Farm has a focus of serving farm, ranch and rural customers for a long time. I've always found good value and a wide assortment of things from clothing related to hunting camping and fishing and outdoor work to Garden supplies towards the summer and outdoor furniture and living goods. I know that they have an extensive assortment of pet supplies and other animal supplies as well as hunting,.fishing and firearms accessories and actual firearms. They also have a large selection of Auto parts and supplies and then have a back area for Home improvement stuff. they also have a service area for cars and a gas station car wash. it's a big place probably 15 0,000 to 200,000 ft. And there's a lot of good things to explore and find out about. if you want to you can order online and then pick up which is the nice option in these times. Every time I've been there the staff have been friendly helpful and attentive. They have quality goods that can interest a wide variety of people. read more

I thought I loved Fleet Farm. The prices are a bit high but the people are always super friendly and I love the wide variety of things I can get there in one stop. So when I needed new tires and an oil change I thought I'd give them a try. Again, super friendly and was pretty quick. I noticed a few weeks later a little oil in the garage where I park my car. It's an old car and not a lot of oil so I let it slide. Months later I just came back from getting my oil changed again at a different shop and learned the plug to my oil pan was stripped so it couldn't be tightened properly. Hence my oil leak. So here's my deal: I get they provide a basic service and may use less experienced mechanics. But if you can't tighten the plug when doing an oil change - wouldn't you say something to the owner? I wouldn't expect them to fix it but would expect the heads up. Now I've lost confidence in their work and will never take my car there again. read more
