I can't speak highly enough about my Davey experience. The only slight negative was that I had to wait forever to actually get my tree cut down, but due to the high number of high wind storms the year they got backed up. Once they got there they were quick, efficient, friendly, and professional. They had all the best equipment to make sure they did the job right and safely. Just had Dan from Davey Tree out to quote grinding down a large evergreen tree stump and planting a new evergreen tree for us. He quoted a very fair price and the work was done beautifully within two weeks with no damage to our yard from equipment. Decided to try Davey for our lawn service this year and what a mistake that was. Getting signed up and having an account created went smoothly but that's where it ended. Didn't come to apply their March/April fertilizer until the last day of April and only after I called & asked what happened. Was told the person who does my lawn had me on the list for the next day then showed up 2 days later. At least be honest and say you forgot. Then they never came to do my Spring Aeration. The last straw was when they didn't show up for my May application and every time I called I got my "lawn care expert's" voicemail. After not getting any explanation during 4 days of phone tag I finally left him another voicemail cancelling my service (even though the way things were going I didn't really have much of a service). I'm assuming they cancelled since I never received any response from anyone at the company. A total lack of respect to a paying customer. I would warn anyone who asked to avoid Davey Tree at all cost. read more

Fabulous experience, Since there are so many Davy tree services around I made sure that I was reviewing the correct one. To sum up my experience: All services were done when promised. Price was compare able to other estimates. Workers were all very courteous and skilled. They removed a 38 year old Locust which was twelve feet from my house and ten feet from my neighbors all glass GREEN HOUSE without mishap. All in all a good company. read more

This company has cared for my yard over the past two years. I have watch rhododendrons and azaleas wither and die. When challenged the response was you are not using our five step program, you are using our three step program. I WAS NEVER ADVISED THAT I HAD A CHOICE. I was not impressed with the quality of work from Davey. The job was to trim and shape shrubs and trees around my house. The trimming of shrubs was good, not great, but good. The trimming of trees was not what I expected or what was explained to me by Bob Brinker. The clean up from the trimming was terrible. I had to go back over and do my own clean up after the crew left. There were cut off branches left on the tress, branches left on my deck and trimmings left between the bushes. In the past, I have had Precision Landscaping and Redline Landscaping do my property. Both did a lot better job for a lot less money than Davey. Both Precision and Redline also cleaned up any weeds in the landscaping area and did a great job of cleaning up any trimmings. I thought I would give Davey a chance since they are a local company in Chesterfield and Bob Brinker talked a good game. He needs to pass his knowledge on to his workers. My first choice going forward is Precision and second choice will be Redline. Davey will not be called again, guaranteed! read more
