It ripped through the polyurethane fabric of our outdoor storage shed & broke the corner metal frame. (It broke the metal pipes, it came down with such force.) Smaller branches left holes in the ground. While one of the workers immediately acknowledged the damage & apologized, the owner never contacted me like I was told he would. At 7pm I contacted him. He didn't seem to understand the extent of the damage because he only offered to replace the "tarp." I asked him to come assess the damage himself but he wouldn't give me a day & time when he available. I explained that valuable items were now exposed to the elements. He insisted on involving the elderly lady who hired him & eventually hung up on me. He offered my son a mere $250. His crew didn't even clean up the fallen mess. The elderly lady who hired him drove 2 hours to come assess the damage herself (I hadn't spoken to her so I assume the owner contacted her like he said he would). I was shocked when she texted me asking if she could drop off a check for $150 as the 1st installment of the $500 that *she*, not The Tree Connection, was going to pay! I told her absolutely not! She did not do the damage, the company did, & they're the ones responsible for it! I've never heard of a company expecting the person who hired them to pay for damage their crew did! Make sure you have a written guarantee that you will not be responsible any damage this company causes should you decide to hire them.

After a recent storm, we needed a service to cut down a very large tree which had partially toppled…read moreand in danger of blocking my neighbor's driveway. After calling several services with no response, A Cut Above Tree Service came to the rescue. Miguel called right back and came out a couple of hours later. He surveyed the damage and wrote up an estimate on the spot which was very reasonable. He and his crew came out the very next day, performed the service, and cleaned up the area beautifully. The tree was in a heavily wooded area and his crew was able to position the logs so they would not disturb a nearby stream runoff and cause flooding. They also cut down a dead maple tree in our front yard and again did a superb job of cleaning up the area. My wife and I were thrilled with the professionalism and courtesy of Miguel and his crew. They definitely live up to their company name - A Cut Above; they truly have exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend them and will definitely use then in the future.
