Hilo with some of his toys

The Dawg House in Gulfport is great! Hilo's 2nd visit was today, a full day of doggy day care, and right now he is peacefully sleeping in his bed. Thankful to the Humane Society of South MS for including info about The Dawg House in our adoption paperwork. Grateful for the patient folks at The Dawg House and we are and looking forward to another visit soon. Many thanks for providing a great place to bring our Hilo!

Picked my pups up & one of them had these scabs. Called to see where they came from &no one knew from where. Still waiting on owner to call.

01 April 2026 (NO! This isn't an April fool's joke.) When I tell you- If there were an option to…read moreleave a negative zero-star review, I absolutely would! This experience was beyond unacceptable--it was alarming. If you are considering bringing your puppy here for ear posting, please think again!! We looked this place up online, after being referred. This is the last place I would trust--not even for a stray animal I would allow to have service here! What I saw looked like a beginner craft project done by a toddler, not a professional veterinary procedure. The backer rod wasn't secured properly, the top of the ear tip was left unsupported, and the so-called "bridge" was nothing more than a flimsy strip of tape. It was completely inadequate. After leaving, my husband sent me photos from outside, and I genuinely thought he was joking--thinking he had done the posting 'before' the appointment, showing me he tried...He hadn't. This was the doctor's work!!! I immediately called to express my concerns, the receptionist dismissed me, saying people travel from all over the U.S. and that this is how they've "always" done it. That is not reassuring--it's deeply concerning people accept & trust such crappy doing. When the doctor got on the phone, things only got worse. I explained that the posting was already leaning, and her response was that my husband might need to add more tape himself. That is unacceptable and horrible! We came to professionals for proper care--not to fix their work afterward. When I asked why the ear tip wasn't secured correctly, she interrupted me and told me if I could "be quiet" and listen. WHAT!!! That level of disrespect is shocking and will not be tolerated by me. Instead of listening, she became defensive and dismissive. To make matters even more disturbing, she suggested my husband to cut part of my puppy's ears because they were "too long"--despite the fact that they are the long crop by design. Seriously??? That suggestion alone is completely inappropriate and alarming! This was our first and last visit. We were soooo busy with business meetings, and no time to drive to NOLA. We will go out of our way--no matter how far or inconvenient--to seek care. CLEARLY, this place isn't it! I'm concerned that people who go here and receive this type of work think it's "professional" and "good work"!? Maybe that just don't know or have experience REALLY professional vet work/care. Please take this as a serious warning: keep your pets far away from this place! After our meeting we stopped at a park to REDO the posting ourself!!! See the pics posted of what the "Dr." did (awful), and the posting we completed in a nearby park, at a bench! because Again - he "attempted posting was absolutely HORRIBLE and making my baby's ears WORSE & FOLDED over his hear! Ughhh!!! Still ticked!!!

I brought my loved boo boo there and he was treated with such care. The head vet even helped us…read morefinancially by marking some of the medications for free. They 100% care more for your animal than they do about making money. Would recommend for any animal.
