I went to make a return of 3 boxes of Christmas Lights and a Box of Hallmark Christmas Cards. All unopened and all on the same receipt of self checkout. For some crazy reason, the box of Christmas Cards on the receipt did not scan correctly when I made the purchase. Unbeknownst to me until I went to make the return, not only was I charged $20.49 for Christmas cards that were $17.49, they outright refused to make the return. When I asked to have them check the Christmas cards, they said they couldn't compare them as they are all sold out, even though it says clearly on the receipt what item I purchased. I spent over an hour of my time waiting on two managers, PABLO and THOMAS who treated me with utter disrespect and blank stares, each saying there was nothing they could do. How can that be an answer? They are both completely clueless and looked as if they rolled out of bed. What ever happened for dressing for the job? I've worked in retail, there has to be an over ride or I should have at least been offered a store credit. As a resident of Stony Point for over 30 years, I have been a loyal customer of CVS and I am being penalized for using self checkout. This because they don't have enough people employed to cover the registers, especially at Christmastime. It was 5 adults and we all bought the medium size advertised at $1.49. I had my brother pay for it and he came back to the car to tell us he was charged $9.16. That is the price for the medium large. So, we both went back into the convenience store and question the cashier a young male and he started arguing with us and trying to confuse us with the prices and he involved another customer that seemed to be his friend and he was also rude to us for no reason. We were not rude, or yelling or arguing just asking clarification about the prices. Well, at the end he said he was not going to explain to us or change anything that that's the price and he didn't care what the sign says, and laughed in our faces. You know like the saying says "it takes two to tango" and we were not going to argue with him or anybody else. We felt he wasn't acting normal so we left.
