Right in the center of town, very friendly counter people. Edwin is a great guy and will go the extra mile for his customers. Parking can be a pain at times, but out of their control. Never had a bad sandwich from Edwin's. They are a bit expensive, but they use quality ingredients. Very innovative menu items plus salads, a very overlooked item at delis. This place definitely makes the best sandwich in Yorktown, Heavy Bear can be good, but they are inconsistent. Edwin's is always on point, I think they make a killer Philly cheese. If you're in town and you want a great sandwich, this is the place. I heard rumors Edwin's is for sale and I hope that isn't true. Yorktown would lose a true gem. read more

I come here often. Edwin's is the best deli in town. The staff is always nice and they sponsor Yorktown teams. Their breakfast sandwiches are always on point and the coffee is always fresh no matter time of day. Their lunch is also on point; they don't skimp on meat - if you get a sandwich that has chicken cutlet you are going to get a genuine article, huge cutlet that is perfectly cooked. Not a huge selection, but by far the best roast beef sandwich I've ever had. I think they make it right on the premises. Always moist, rare, tender, and slightly warm. It's definitely not Boar's Head freezer-meat. This is what I always get, and he stacks it high on locally baked bread. It's not cheap, but it's always delicious. Great quality. Always in search of the ultimate B.E.C. (Bacon Egg Cheese) did I really need to spell it out? Stopped in this morning and my order was as follows: Bacon, egg and cheese please. Make sure the egg is fried medium (repeated that I wanted it medium, just to make sure.) Got a cup of Joe (chose their espresso dark variety) paid for it and waited for my sandwich. The people behind the counter were courteous and efficient. There was a sign that said, credit card purchase under $10.00 would incur a .50 cent up charge. Now I know you pay for taking cards but hey, it's the cost of doing business. That was a bit tacky. On to the BEC, the egg was perfectly cooked to medium, the white was cooked outside, the yoke cooked outside progressively softer towards the middle where it was allowing just one drop to fall from the center....ahhhhhhh, so sweet! Nice percentage of bacon to egg (bacon could have been a tad more evenly cooked to crispy without being burnt (admittedly this is nit picking) and it needed a bit more cheese. The Kaiser roll, waaaaa waaaaa waaaaa, why can't any place get a great Kaiser roll, they are just not that hard to make, yes you may pay 5 or 10 cents more per roll, however, I'd have no objection to that pass along, unlike the credit card charge. This roll was garden variety and prevented the sandwich from attaining higher marks. The coffee was fresh and hot, always a plus. Still the hunt continues for that elusive BEC. read more
