Back in the day I visited The Den sang karaoke it was fun. Met some nice people. It's been ages I'm sure it's changed a lot.

Good dive bar. Crowd is friendly and inviting. It is my favorite new spot for an after work cocktail.

What a fun time, hidden on the side of the road! I was definitely skeptical of this place, at first glance it gave me weird vibes. Smokey smokey smokey. So they allow you to smoke inside this place. Eh. They also have drink specials. And pool tables. And karaoke. And a really really really mean bartender. Its a female with blonde hair whos always there and she never smiles, or allows you to order when you first walk up to the bar. She is not friendly, she overcharged and then tells the waitresses to chase us out the door to get a bigger tip. Not cool. We had kind of avoided The Den since moving here despite living around the corner because it is still a smoking establishment. However, heading home one day, my curiosity got the better of me and I popped in. It was a Saturday afternoon and the place was fairly quiet. They have a decent sized bar top, some tables and a big shuffleboard table in the middle I'll have to try out. The thing that surprised me the most...it didn't smell badly of smoke. Not sure if that's because it was so quiet, but either way, it was pleasant. I took a seat at the bar and was promptly greeted by a very friendly bartender. I ordered a beer and just kind of relaxed. The staff and few other patrons all seemed to know each other so I think it's a pretty regular place. I enjoy that. I hung out for a little while and cashed out. Price was typical neighborhood bar pricing. I'll definitely be giving The Den a second try. read more

First in the interst of transparency I am a regular and meet friends here once or twice a week. This review is about the time frame between 8/11-8/14. KJ Rick has been handling the Friday & Saturday action here for several years and is pretty good at reading a crowd and making adjustments to keep the interest active. Mick on Sunday has a bit of flexibility due to usually smaller number of singers. Periodically have a 2 song "mini concert" for 1 round has been a nice periodic change. I love to sing and appreciate the work of the KJ's. Looking forward to "KJ Savag3" finding his groove on Thursdays as he blends the regulars with his very talented group of followers. First though is mastering a new mixing board you are not familiar with...lol read more

It's The Den! A staple dive bar in Euless. It's not the prettiest and it doesn't smell that great, but overall it's welcoming and casual and with good company you'll have a good time. Pool, darts, poker, shuffleboard, video bowling, and karaoke FIVE NIGHTS A WEEK, people. That's pretty serious. This is a place for "regulars" absolutely, but if you're a new face you'll still be warmly welcomed. The Den is great... I hear its actually an undercover avengers compound and the Karaoke Jockey (KJ) are either retired or training to join the Avengers. They have clones (two awesome ladies named Shawna) and Ive seen a guy lead the entire bar in a perfectly executed Gengham Style dance. Werewolf clear since '98 too! read more

Arrived in Dallas a day before my flight. Found this bar near my hotel and let me just say WOW! What a fun atmosphere! The second I walked in I was greeted by the locals (especially this guy named Mike). Everyone was super welcoming which always makes or breaks a dive bar. But it gets better... every bartender working was an absolute smoke show - but still down to earth! (Go figure, right)! Drinks were cold which was good because it was 107 that day! I met my husband in this bar in 1979! We married in 1981, and 40 years later we are still madly in love. Although we now live 240 miles away, we go back to "The Den" whenever we visit the Metroplex. So I bookmarked this place because, based on the reviews, I thought this was going to become our go-to dive bar, and all my friends would thank me for finding the newest cool spot. I was really blown away by how wrong I was. It's true that it advertises as a dive bar, but my goodness.. there isn't much going for it. I am afraid my review might be colored by the first 5 minutes. We sat down at the bar, and the most foul, most rank smell was overpowering us. It smelled like rotten food or a grease trap that has never been cleaned. We looked around and there was a small toaster oven, but nothing that seemed to jump out as the culprit. I motioned to my boyfriend that I had to step away from the bar and found a table. He brought us our drinks and had already closed out. We downed them pretty fast. There was obviously going to be a birthday party and almost all the tables were reserved and had balloons on them. We sat at one of the only open tables, which were right next to the jukebox. Once people started feeding that thing and blasting pop country into our ears at full volume, we were done. I don't know when the fun starts there, but it wasn't a good experience, at all. The beers were cheap, so it can have two stars. read more

The only thing that makes this place four stars instead of five is that smoking is allowed inside. It hasn't been bad when my wife and I have gone so I take it the ventilation is good. Still, I'm not a fan of indoor smoking. The Den is most assuredly a dive, which is just fine by me since dives are my number one type of bars. Draft beer is offered for Bud Light, Zeigenbock, and Coors Lite. I like Coors Original so I take my koozie for the bottles. Prices are always good. Marcy is a friendly and familiar face. This bar is Heaven on Earth if you don't want to be disturbed by the "boujee" and uptight crowd. Karaoke 5 nights a week (Wed-Sun) and canned beers that are $2.50. They have a jukebox for when karaoke isn't going on and you are allowed to smoke inside. There are also pool tables, shuffle board, darts, cig machine, TVs, and tables all over. Let's see. I've been here multiple times for karaoke, so we'll start with that. It's a nice place for karaoke, but the KJ on Friday and Saturday, comes off as a bit of a prick. Sometimes the karaoke people don't stick with the lineup, sometimes they do. Overall, it's decent for karaoke. The bartenders are nice and friendly, Ms Emily impresses me as she appears to be fantastic at multitasking. The patrons here are interesting, to say the least. Now the downside is as a pool player, there are only 2 billiard tables and those are usually both taken up. There's a step between the bar area and the karoke stage area that is hard to see because of the darkness, so it's incredibly easy to step off without realizing it and stumbling. As a bar, it's average. Nice to come to during karaoke to sing but not when it feels like the KJ has a bit of an attitude problem. The KJ on Thursday and Sunday is friendly enough though. Then there's the food selections. I've had the nachos. The chips were cool temperature wise, the cheese was warm for a little bit. Most of the food is affordable, but the items they serve are usually seen on the appetizer list of restaurant menus. There are a few items like hot dogs and corn dogs that may be bearable, but I can't judge since I haven't had them. Come for the friendly and accepting environment, but the Friday and Saturday nights may or may not be the best day to go if you're going for karaoke. read more

My girlfriend and I live on completely opposite sides of the Metroplex. In order to see each other during the week we meet halfway at a restaurant in the HEB area. On one of our dates we searched for a bar to have a few drinks and close out the evening. We found The Den completely at random on Yelp and cruised on by. The Den is small, dingy, smokey and filled with a diverse range of bar flies of all ages and sizes. In short, it's the perfect dive bar! The staff is super friendly and the few customers we've spoken with have been nice as well. The regulars all know each other and are a tight group, as would be expected in a neighborhood watering hole like this. Still, everyone is friendly and nobody messes with newcomers. It is a classic dive bar, with cement floors, neon signs, pool tables, shuffle board, and of course, kinda nasty bathrooms. If you only frequent upscale joints than The Den definitely won't be your kinda place. But if you're okay with cheap drinks, cigarette smoke and a casual, laid-back atmosphere, than more than likely, you'll fight right in. read more

So close yet so far away I kept seeing events show up at the DEN with karaoke and I thought to myself, "self, we should check this place out". Since then I have been several times, drinks are okay although I think their soda gun is not always mixing right or they are using an off-brand coke. Just order it straight. Great venue, karaoke and bar games are great. There is a fun couple who are shuffleboard masters and will love to shit talk you all game long. No food other than chips, but the bartenders and servers are great. If you are a smoker, this the perfect bar for you. However, if you like I have eyes that get irritated easily by smoke, you will not. I still will come from time to time, the bar is nearby and the people working and patronizing are very nice. I was really surprised at this place. Don't get me wrong it is a dive bar, but it is a dive bar full of fun people. When you walk in there is the bar on the left. shuffle board, pool tables and darts on the right with Karaoke in the back. It is actually a pretty sweet set up with lots of room to roam around and play. The Karaoke set up is sweet. The KJ is good about playing songs in-bewteen people and they have pretty much everything. The people are really awesome to. I mean some people were horrible but everyone cheered them on and gave them high fives after. If they like you they scream for encores. The dart boards are old and don't have cork around them for people like me who need a little room around the board because we can't aim. Now for what you are all wondering ... how is the alcohol. It is reasonably priced. We had 4 pitches of Ziegenbock, a pitcher of bud light, and 4 shots ... it was around 50. Definitely a place to consider. read more

I decided to visit this bar because it was right down the street from home and the few reviews I saw here were pretty good. I invited a few friends. All in all it was a good time. We came in early around 6 so the place was pretty empty. By 11pm there were about 40 people there. Not too crowded but enough people to make it fun. We were told that the small crowd was due to the Texas Relays. The staff was mostly nice aside from the evening bartender. She wasn't mean, just not friendly and smiling like the one I'd met earlier in the evening. We stuck around to check out the karaoke and it was fun but I have a complaint. They did not have a song book like most places so that you can flip through and decide what to sing. You had to just go up and ask the DJ if he had the song that you had in mind. After a few drinks, that's hard to do! I need a guide. Also, if you don't like smoke or don't want to come out smelling like it don't go here! Because of the regulations in most cities I forgot that some bars actually allow smoking inside and not just on the patio. That was the worse part for me. Would I go back? Maybe. Awesome dive bar and super fun place to hang out with friends. The bartender was very friendly and sweet. I had discovered this place through yelp and what really brought me here was the karaoke. I love watching karaoke but I hate participating and this place has a lot of locals that live to sing. Very entertaining. I met up with two of my friends and we had so much fun. They've got shuffleboard, darts, pool, fuseball, and more! We got us a table in the front where the karaoke was and had a great time basking in the atmosphere. My only complaint is the smoke but it wasn't bad enough to where it would stop me from coming back and it's obviously allowed at this establishment. So, that's a fair warning. I knew it was allowed before coming here. Great place. Good drinks. Awesome specials. And just so much fun! read more

This place is wonderful! It's uniqueness lies in its karaoke. There's no pressure to sing karaoke (unless your friends pressure you and you give in), but you totally can without feeling judged. People clap. It's a place to find yourself as well as to find others whose voice will blow you away. You end up feeling good. It seems like it's all a bunch of people there, who are just like you and me, who are just to get away from the everyday pressures of the world. Everyone, bartenders and all, are very friendly. Yes! I finally found a decent dive bar in DFW! (Hmmm...is that an oxymoron? lol) Very cool....reminded me of the local old taverns where I grew up. Real dartboards, not those plastic electronic ones. Very cool shuffleboard. The right amount of well-used charm and nostalgia in there. Had a fantastic time, the staff and patrons were very friendly, the karaoke of the locals (and perhaps some not so local) was very entertaining. Several songs the entire bar sang. It was great.
