This review is specifically for Pete Guiney. We were the buyers for a home that he was the listing agent for. While Pete did not represent us, he was extremely difficult to work with and made the buying experience stressful for us. We were out of state buyers navigating the logistics and complications of selling and buying a home at the same time. Pete's demeanor was extremely transactional, putting the people element last and was very eager to close the sale by the end of the quarter deadline. He was also challenging for our buying agent to work with and used a lot of passive aggressive tone in his responses. We have used Compass many times in the past for both buying and selling, and this is not the level of care we would have expected to encounter from a Compass agent. To make matters even worse, we felt like Pete was dishonest throughout the process saying whatever needed to be said to close the deal. In the home inspection, there was clear evidence of water staining in the basement with identifiable cracks. Pete kept denying the presence of any water saying that the seller had not observed this at all, yet there was clear photographic evidence of water marks and staining in the inspection report. The seller did agree to repair the cracks using a recommendation and friend of Pete's. Fast forward to the present where we have now closed and moved into the house. To no surprise - we found a leak in the basement and water coming out of one of the cracks (see photo) during a heavy rainfall. We felt completely lied to and the work recommended by Pete was not done adequately (there is no warranty either for the sealing). As of present, Pete has been ignoring our agent's messages. This situation really reflects on Pete's character as an agent having zero regard for the people who buy the homes that he lists. For this reason alone, I do not recommend The Denman Group. read more

If you've ever bought or sold a home, you already know that everyone seems to know a "realtor" who can help. I've purchased and sold several properties over the years and have worked with many agents and brokers, on both the buying and selling side. But I have never experienced such a positive, seamless, and well-executed process as I did with Lynne Minchello (and her husband Don) at The Denman Group. They are not your typical realtor team. All I had to do was approve things periodically. It was that easy. Even with everything I've shared here, I still don't think I can fully express how exceptional these people and this team truly are. We worked with Logan to buy our home. I've never worked with a better professional of any kind. Logan went so far above and beyond that they were in the stratosphere. We had a difficult transaction; our seller was neither competent nor cooperative. Logan essentially project managed the completion of the seller's work on our house and totally shielded us from an extremely unpleasant individual on the other side of the transaction. Todd and the whole Denman Property team are amazing. I have worked with Todd for three different purchases and sales. I first worked with Todd as a first-time home buyer back in 2016. I came into the process completely clueless and Todd patiently walked me through each step. Once I was ready to make an offer, he helped me ensure that despite 15 other offers, I was able to create the winning offer. This past spring, I worked with Todd to sell my parents' home who recently passed away. Todd was very sensitive to the situation. Additionally, my brother and I, while very close, have very different styles and we appreciated that he took the time to accommodate both of us. With his help, we were able to sell the home for higher than we anticipated. He first suggested some simple updates we could make to increase the appeal and value of the home.
