I usually don't leave reviews, but my experience at Dr. Noah Orenstein office was so unpleasant that I feel compelled to share it. First off, the office itself is disorganized and poorly maintained. The waiting area was cluttered, and I was forced to wait nearly 45 minutes past my scheduled appointment time before being seen. No one offered an explanation, nor did they acknowledge the delay, which was extremely frustrating. When I finally got in to see Dr. Noah Orenstein, I immediately noticed how rushed and impersonal the entire interaction felt. There was no effort to make me feel comfortable or explain the procedures in detail. The dentist barely looked at my teeth before making quick judgments and recommending expensive treatments that seemed unnecessary. I asked a few questions about alternatives or the cost of certain procedures, and he barely answered, rushing me out of the room after a couple of minutes. It felt like he was more interested in pushing me to pay for treatments than actually providing care. The dental hygienist, who seemed equally disinterested, was rough during the cleaning and left my gums sore for days after the appointment. I have been to several dentists in my life, and I have never experienced such a lack of professionalism or empathy. I also noticed that the tools and equipment didn't appear to be sterilized properly, which really added to my discomfort. To make matters worse, when I received the bill, it included charges for procedures I never consented to. After calling to inquire about the discrepancies, the front desk staff was unhelpful and rude, offering no solution other than to "contact billing." It was a complete runaround, and I felt completely taken advantage of. I will not be returning to Dr. Noah Orenstein and would highly recommend looking elsewhere if you're in need of a dentist who actually cares about their patients. This experience was a total waste of time and money. Go see Dr. Lee at West Newton Dental instead. read more

I'm so thrilled to have found Dr. Orenstein a few years ago when searching for a dentist. As many others would agree, I value professionalism, knowledge, and compassion in a healthcare provider - and Dr. Orenstein absolutely personifies those qualifications. He explains procedures (as well as their potential cost) to me in detail, always keeping me informed, but never pressuring me into having any work done that I'm not prepared to undergo. In addition to being a wonderful dentist, he clearly takes time to get to know his patients personally - we spend a few minutes at the beginning of every visit chatting about our jobs, recent vacations, and just joking around. It's this personal touch that makes me look forward to coming to the dentist every time. Though I live in the city and don't own a car, it was a no-brainer for me to continue to seek my dental care from Dr. Orenstein when he recently moved from Brookline to his new practice in Newton. His care is worth it. Additionally, I would note that his office in Auburndale is clean and bright, and everyone I recently met there (from the front desk staff to the dental hygienists), were lovely. I consider myself lucky to be a patient of Dr. Orenstein, who has made going to the dentist a wonderful experience. read more

I've been seeing Dr. Orenstein for about a year now and couldn't be happier. In short, he is highly competent, extremely caring, and most importantly, makes me feel comfortable. I know that I am in good hands with him. I had a pretty traumatic experience with my last dentist. I had a failed implant that left me in a not great place physically and emotionally. Quite frankly, I was a wreck. But I could tell right away that Dr. O felt my pain and he did his best to make me feel at ease. He's got an optimism and sense of humor that is contagious. Since our initial meeting, Dr Orenstein has been guiding my path to recovery. Under his watchful eye, making sure that I am getting the best treatment possible at every step of the way. Always clearly explaining my options. Collaborating with other specialists when appropriate. And doing meticulous work himself. I am really pleased with my progress thus far. My case is complicated, to say the least. But it is great to know that Dr Orenstein is always available to help if I have any questions or a problem comes up (a couple times my temporary bridge has popped out and he was quick to fix). Let me just say that I am deathly afraid of doctors/dentists. My anxiety shoots through the roof at the thought of just calling to schedule an appointment. I would pass out while checking in with the receptionist and would need someone to drive me back home after making such a scene. I even had my previous dentist blocked on my cell phone, to avoid him, that is how bad I was. I cannot rave enough about how great Dr. Orenstein and his staff are. I literally recommend everyone and anyone to go to him. They have taken away my fear of calling, let alone going to a dental appointment. This is huge for me because again I was so traumatized from past dental experiences. I am SO incredibly happy that I found a dentist who not only cares about my teeth but about me as well. I look forward to going and making sure my teeth are happy and healthy. I truly appreciate the patience, understanding, and respect that Dr. Orenstein and his entire office have shown me. I cried (happy tears) to my husband when I told him that I finally found a dentist who cares!!! As a 70year old woman, I have been to many dentists in my lifetime, but none like Dr. Orenstein & his team. His warm & gentle manner is only complimented by his extremely light touch and in-depth skill. From the moment I arrived, greeted by his lovely front desk office manager, I felt taken care of. The signing in process was quick & simple and I barely had to wait until my hygienist came to greet me. The hygienist was engaging and addressed all of my hygiene concerns. She was interested in getting to know me as a person and made me feel very comfortable throughout my visit with her. Dr. Orenstein, with his warm smile and attention to detail, let me know I was in competent hands. I know this practice will be the only place I will ever want my dental needs to be cared of again. read more

I started as a patient of Dr. Orenstein's at his old office when my dentist of 20+ years retired. When Dr. Orenstein told me he was starting his own practice, I was happy to follow him. Dr. Orenstein is a fabulous dentist. I really trust him and appreciate the fact that he takes the time to explain what is going on. After having a fairly significant dental procedure, he took the time to call me over the weekend to see how I was doing. He even gave me his cell phone number so I could call him directly if I had any issues or concerns. The office staff is great too. My hygienist is excellent, and the front office staff is very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend the practice! read more

It has been many years that I have been roaming between dentists just to find out that they are not capable to deal with my dental problems. Then I found Dr. Noah Orenstein. I came to him with a very complicated problem that required multiple steps and long term planning. Dr Orenstein has been very helpful in building a plan for me and execute on it in the most professional way. Although it required multiple dental disciplines, Dr Orenstein mastered them all. For me, he accomplished the impossible. Then he kept following up with me and answered any question I had on any given time, weekend included. I hate the dentist, like really hate the dentist if I never had to go it would be too soon. But I've been coming to this particular office for many many years and when dr. Trager retired and they told me there would be somebody new I was apprehensive. But he has taken amazing care of me and made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. Dr Noah Orenstein is kind and cares about all hes patients , Customer service. From the minute I walked in, everyone was friendly and helpful. The dental assistant, as well as the gum specialist, was knowledgeable and explained everything clearly, and answered all my questions. I switched my dental care to Dr. Orenstein last year, and it was one of the best decisions I have made. I am one of the unlucky people who is prone to lots of dental problems. I broke two teeth within 6 months of each other, and Dr. Orenstein had to put crowns on them. Getting the work done was painless. Noah Orenstien is a knowledgeable and skilled specialist in his field, but most importantly he is kind and genuinely caring.
