I was looking for something new to mix up my workout schedule - I am not a diehard fitness freak but I have been looking for ways to stay healthy and motivated. A friend of mine had been going here for about 6 months and invited me to come along and try them out. Because I am timid about new things I've never done, I opted to try the Intro to Spin class first. They showed me how to properly set up my bike and I found the instructors and staff really helpful and friendly - no pretentious attitudes at all which you sometimes get at fitness facilities. Ive continued attending various classes for a few months now. They have a great range of instructors and class types so you can really find the right person/schedule/style to fit your goals and preferences. They also have a cool movie night on Fridays where you can ride and watch a movie. Its a great way to kick off the weekend. Facilities are clean, modern and the shoes and towels are a nice convenience. Location is easy to get to and I've never had a problem with evening or weekend parking. The team there are always up for giving pointers, suggestions and are very motivating. It really is a well run place! read more

This is the best cycling studio I have found in Calgary for people who really ride bikes or train for bike rides, or people who really just want a real workout. Instructors are road cyclists. This isn't a dancy blow your ear drum and destroy your knees and back from overbouncing and sprinting the entire time like other studios have popped up around town. I had tried a number of spin studios before coming to Peloton Cycling. After a back injury, spin was recommended to me by my physio as part of my rehab program. I decided to take a few classes at each of spin studios near downtown and Peloton was by far my favorite for a number of reasons: 1. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. They've been the friendliest out of all of the places I've been. 2. They place an importance on proper form and safety. An instructor made sure I was set up properly on my bike and stressed the importance of keeping your knees safe by being in the right position. Only two of the four studios I tried ensured that people were properly set up. 3. Their bikes are awesome. Since I've been going they switched to brand new Matrix IC7 bikes which let you set them to your fitness level and then the screen lights up in different colours depending on how hard you work. It's really motivating and easy to see how hard you've worked each class. I definitely work harder on these bikes! 4. The classes are fun and fly by. They've got good tunes and a massive screen that plays scenery to match your ride. The climbing and sprinting intervals are actually fun and the instructors are always giving tips to use your core, keep your form, etc. If you haven't tried a class or feel intimidated by spin, I would give Peloton a try. read more

New to cycling and spinning and love this place! They have free parking behind the building in the co-op parking lot. Just look for the "peleton parking" signs. Classes include cycling shoes, towels, etc. The studio is extremely clean and all equipment is in great condition. Have enjoyed all instructors and classes are not full at all. I go in the mornings and mid afternoon classes though, so can't speak for evenings and weekends. I have a tendency to get extremely hot when working out but have never felt overheated in the studio. There are fans and I think air conditioning so it's great! Prices for memberships are very reasonable. The girls that work at the front desk are also awesome (Renee). She remembers your shoe size and name when you come in, so it feels very comfortable when you get there. I love that you can register online and track all the classes you have been too, all from your online account! Try this place out, it's awesome!!! I was a beginner to cycling and I have survived the first 2 weeks, so if you are unsure, trust them and give it a try! read more

Awesome place to spin! It's been a very long time since I did a spinning class plus I also wanted to get back into riding this summer. i saw this place advertise in TV so thought I'd give it a try. Both times that I've been here have been on a weekend and both times the level of service plus the actual class have been superb! I have already been talking about it to my friends and co-workers and I'm planning on going back soon for my spin fix. The price of of the class includes shoes, towel and a very clean facility. The music is great and the big TV screen with the beautiful scenery makes this a very pleasant class. read more

This place was a nice surprise! I've been slow to get back on my bike after the winter, so I signed up for a free intro class on the website. It was a lot of fun, and the class was a good, efficient workout. The owner, Martine, happened to be at the front desk when I walked in and she welcomed me warmly and introduced herself. It sounds like they've been open about a month. They lent me some cycle shoes and got me on a bike right quick. There's a place to fill up your water bottle and an open locker room. It should be noted that there was only one shower in the women's change room, so I wouldn't rely on being able to shower there. The studio uses Livestrong bikes, and they're pretty tightly packed in, but the air circulation was good. I didn't feel overheated or crowded. There are some cheery decorations overhead but the main focus of the room is a big screen up front. During the 45-minute workout, we "rode" over some gorgeous mountain trails and country roads! The instructor took us through a few workouts with hills and sprints, and the combination of her encouragement and the scenery really helped me push through. It would be awesome if there was better coordination between the workout and the image on the screen, but it was still pretty cool. There was music pumping and the instructor (who was teaching her third class of the day) got into it, singing along loudly and barking out encouragement at the regulars, whom she knew by name. It was good vibes all around! Parking might be a little tricky. I was lucky I didn't get a ticket on the street, and I didn't see any designated parking. There should at least be some bike racks out front! Maybe that's in the works. read more
