HONEST, TRUSTWORTHY, CARING AND PROFESSIONAL IN A SAFE DOG FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT I can't imagine anyone would have a bad experience with Carolyn. She cared for our miniature poodle like he was her own. I never had to worry about him! He absolutely loved her, her dogs and her home. She has a huge fenced in yard and ensures the dogs get daily exercise. She screens the other dogs to ensure a safe environment and yes she will turn people away for the sake of the peace and tranquility of the other dog Residents/customers. We employed her services on a regular basis over a 3 year period and not one time was she unprofessional! An amazing alternative to a traditional kennel . She is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to dogs- and helped us with training. I see some bad reviews - all I can say is there has to be more to the story. Fixing dogs is a two way street- You get what you put into it on the home front. Sadly we moved out of state and miss her. We do highly recommend her! read more

I liked their services. I used them until I found a small dog specialist. They are great for larger dogs. I just needed more activities for my small dog to do. I needed more special attention for having such a small breed. For a larger dog I would recommend them. For a smaller dog I would go to the Doggie Daycare in Johnson City. They were really nice to me at the dog expert however and I appreciate everything done. read more

My spaniel rescue is an anxious pup. When we have kept her in any other boarding situation she's a total mess when we pick her up. This place is so great - thank goodness for The Dog Expert. The owner is compassionate and caring, and our dog seems very happy there. read more

If you want to be told that your dog is a hot mess of anxiety and aggression, this woman will tell you what she wants to tell you so you will hire her and give her your made earned dollars so she can claim to fix what is not broken. Total fraud. read more

My sister and her family just had a horrible ordeal with this boarding facility. They left their little rescued min pin in her care while they went on vacation for 5 days. The owner, a behaviorist, had evaluated this dog when they adopted him several months ago. She knew he was skittish, scared and insecure. They did a trial for one day to see if he would be ok (he seemed to be). Long story short, this woman lost my sister's dog. My sister's family was gone from Mon-Fri and the woman called her Wed to say that he had "gotten out on Tues but she got him back". When my sister and family went to pick him up Fri the woman said that "He was across the street". My sister was incredulous and just could not understand that this woman was saying that she did not have her dog. They ran across the street, starting calling his name and searching for him. With the help of friends and family they searched for the next 24 hours through a sleepless night until finally they spotted him late the next afternoon were able to catch him.He was scared & hungry but thankfully alive. If the woman did get him back Tues why would she have left him unattended again where he could get out (she claims he climbed a 6 ft chain link fence). She made flyers but did not put them up. She did not notify my sister that her dog was still missing. It was a horrible nightmare for my sister and her family and anyone considering boarding there needs to know this. read more
