Tango boarded at Godley Station several times over the years, and I always had complete confidence that he was safe, comfortable, and well cared for while he was there. The staff treated him like family, and that peace of mind meant a great deal to me. Throughout his life, Tango received his vaccinations, routine care, and medical treatment at the hospital. The doctors, technicians, and staff were always professional, knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely caring. They never made us feel rushed and always took the time to answer questions and explain treatment options. A few weeks ago, we faced the heartbreaking reality of saying goodbye to Tango. The team at Godley Station helped guide us through one of the most painful experiences a pet owner can endure with compassion, dignity, and kindness. Their support during that difficult time meant more to our family than words can adequately express. Then, sometime later, we received a handwritten sympathy card signed by members of the staff along with Tango's paw and nose prints. It was such a thoughtful and deeply personal gesture that brought comfort during a very difficult season. It was a beautiful experience despite heart wrenching emotions. Dr. Nesbit has been an excellent Vet for Miller, and I appreciate how he never tried to rack tests and pricing up and always seemed truly focused on the well-being of my dog. Dr Nesbit has a spirit that only other dog lovers and dogs understand. We had her come over for $100, and it turned out to be a nightmare. She came when my puppy woke up--instead of letting me take the puppy to potty, she insisted playing with him until he peed/pooped at the wrong spot. Then she stopped me to pick up the poo, put a treat right next to his poo, and our puppy for the FIRST time ate a piece of poo, because the treat was placed right next to it. Words can't describe how bad the whole 20-minute session was. Her attitude was unprofessional and very condescending, treating us as if we are ignorant people. She kept saying "poor puppy" as if we are abusing him. The worst of the worst: when I cleaned the mess, she said to me "good job"--who does that? My husband and I were utterly shocked. Before she left, she insisted putting a dirty empty water bottle in the playpen to let the puppy chew, while our puppy has various good quality dog toys. We love our puppy dearly, which is exactly why we've been trying different configurations of his playpen and wanted to start training early. But it's the biggest mistake to have used this service. A lot of places in this area require some kind of meet and greet or an initial this or that before they will take new customers. Luckily, this place did not. It's $15 a day to board your dog here and is willing to bathe your dog if needed. She takes the dogs home with her to care for them at her house. She mentioned she only takes small dogs but I saw other workers and larger dogs so it may be that they only had a vacancy for one more small dog. Don't forget to bring some dog food with you when you drop them off! I honestly didn't think about it until we were there since I have never boarded a dog before. We got Ezio back safe and sound and appreciated how easy it was to communicate with the lady here. She was even kind enough to meet us at her shop on Sunday even though she doesn't usually meet at her office on Sundays. Thanks again!

This truly is a 5 star facility but cost and policies stopped me from giving that fifth star…read more We had previously been at another kennel that had cleanliness issues. Barks is immaculate. However, it is double the cost of our previous kennel. We went on a short trip to Charleston SC using our Bluegreen Points. Our lodging on Bay Street was less expensive than our little dog's. Let me start with the positives: The overnight dogs are mixed with the doggie day care dogs for socialization. The kennel required a 2 hour temperament check prior to acceptance of the reservation. Our little guy loved it. The small dogs are separated from the big dogs. The medium sized dogs go in either group depending on personality. The groups rotate between inside and outside space and their kennel. Kennels are extremely clean with a little cot. Dog poop and urine are immediately taken car of. Total areas are sanitized 3 times a day. Employees are knowledgeable and nurturing. There are video cams and you are given an access code to watch your dog's group. They don't currently have a groomer but the groom shop was clean and they are pursuing a new groomer. Very kind and loving environment. Negatives: Cost, $$$$. The price was $41/day. It may be more for a larger dog, I'm not sure about that. On top of that there is a $10 charge if you drop off before 12:00 pm. There is another $10 charge if you pick up After 12:00 pm. That can be $51 for your first and last day. It is that extra $10 fee that I have trouble with. They are open 7:30am-7:00 pm. In Savannah, you definitely get what you pay for. Our former kennel had great nurturing people but hair everywhere and no play sessions. The Bark kennel has incredible standards and lots of interaction with nurturing staff but it will cost you. About 90% sure we will return but may search to find a place in the middle. You get what you pay for.
