This place is amazing! Don't believe me then go try it. The flavor speaks for itself. From cake donuts, to cronuts, sausage rolls and of course regular glazed donuts. They're all amazing! The staff is very fast and friendly and know what's good, just ask. I can say they also know some frequent customers by name which i think is really cool. The shop itself, tucked in a corner spot of the shopping center, has plenty of seating if you'd like to enjoy the donut ambiance'. I started going to The Donut Nest a few years ago after trying several other shops and convenience stores. After the first visit I never went any place else. Everything there is made by hand so you know it's fresh. It's not made somewhere then trucked in several hours before you get there. Their variety is just unreal. The folks that own the place make everything fresh that morning, nothing stays in the case long. And the people are the nicest friendliness people you've ever met. read more

Sensational! This is the absolute best donut shop I've been to! As I walked in, I was greeted by the owner and her crew, plus the sweet smell of a classic bakery! There was seating for adults and children, a fully stocked drink fridge, and an assortment of delicious-looking donuts. As we were paying, one of the ladies, threw in a couple of donut holes! Pictures don't do this place justice, and I apologize for the missing (or half eaten) donuts, but everything was so divine, we could not resist. Needless to say, we WILL be back! read more

EVERYTHING about this place is amazing! The ham/bacon/cheese croissant is DELICIOUS! Came in here in Tuesday morning and ate the delicious & buttery breakfast croissant and my daughter had a jalapeño sausage roll, then we chased those down with some coffee & sweets to make it a 10/10 breakfast date! My only complaint is that they do not make enough, white sprinkle cake donuts. This is my favorite donut. I have gone in so many times at 655 am and they will already be out of this one specific donut. I'm not sure why that don't make more than 3 of these donuts a day! My husband and I stopped in after we tried to get donuts at our favorite shop and they were closed. This is a cute donut shop that also sells specialty coffees. They have some fun donuts and a variety of other options. They were unfortunately out of sausage rolls (which is what I was craving. I ordered a sausage, egg and cheese crassoint. The crassoint part was tasty but the insides were not so good. The way the egg was cooked was not edible to me. I do not like hardboiled egg yolks so I could not finish the inside. They should definately use plain egg whites or scrambled eggs instead of a hardboiled egg . I did not try any of their sweet donuts so I wiuor have to try that before fully judging but their selection was kind of slim and I wasnt impressed with the whole experience in general. Admittedly, I haven't been here, but I got the pleasure of enjoying a few bites of their doughnuts this weekend. OMG! I love a great doughnut, but they are hard to find. So often they are greasy, lacking a depth of flavor, or are overly sugary -- not these beauties. I had the apple fritter, chocolate long john and caramel long john. Every one was a bite of heaven. They will make even the most disciplined person coming back for more. They are flavorful, have just the right density and aren't overly greasy and are crave-a-licious-ness. YUMMY! I liked this cute little donut shop. I got a spicy kolache and they even heated it up for not but not too much to where it was hard so I'm quiet pleased. I also got an Apple fritter and it was yummy. Quite the charming donut spot. There's a couple of places with the same donut nest name floating around. There's another one over by 178th in the highland park strip mall with different murals-and they seem to share the same family ownership. So what brings the awesome here? Well, for one thing It's family friendly. There is a small kids table, and a tiny play area. The inside wall sports a cleverly rendered donut roller coaster mural. It is clean- I mean spotlessly clean-inside. Lot's of local donut spots have severe cases of sticky table syndrome, but not this one. The staff are more then usually friendly and unless you stop them will try to sneak some complementary donut holes into your purchase. Ohh and the donuts themslves are solid. They try to have more of an artistic effect as well with decorating them. Some of the frosting-and the donuts themselves-will be colored and shaped like various things-imperial storm troopers, Nemo from finding nemo etc. So, bright, clean, cheap-two bucks or so for a coffee and a sweet-whimsical and friendly. Late Saturday morning around 11:30 , went here for the first time after picking up my grandson for an afternoon, he of course wanted donuts.. I knew from experience that the donut shop near us was usually out of our favorites after 8 or 9. , so stopped by here, what a wonderful surprise! Cute and clean shop with friendly employees and wonderful donuts!! Asked for a sampler dozen and they loaded us up with little cinnamon rolls, donut holes and small beignets!! We came to the Donut Nest because of the great reviews. I have to say I was a little disappointed. The shop was bright and painted with playful Donut scenes. However, the seating area was in disarray and the tabletops were dirty. The Donut selection was just average. It wasn't anything spectacular as written by other reviewers. I can't say the donuts were bad. They just weren't great. We tried a wide variety too. The cake donuts were a little heavy Oh, and we didn't get any free/complimentary donuts either. I do want to mention one distinction that the other reviewers mentioned; the CRONUT! We were lucky enough to get there at 9:30 am and get the last 2. We had the maple bacon and the regular. The regular was chocolate covered. This was the first time we tried this type of pastry. It was like a fried croissant with a sweet topping and a heavy dusting of powered sugar. I must say they knocked this out of the park! They should have there pastry counter filled with a variety of these cronuts and market themselves to Edmond as the cronut place. They would make a killing. They didn't even have any more for us to buy and take home. Maybe they will read this review and change their business plan or at least make more for the customer to buy. read more

The apple fritter was soft and fluffy inside and lightly crisp on the outside, nice and fresh. However, it was very sparse on the apples and cinnamon. I also tried the cronut with maple and bacon. It was pretty dense and honestly too big to enjoy. Meaning it was too tall to take a bite of and when you do bite into it, you get a face covered in powdered sugar. It would be best to peel off the bottom half of croissant layers to eat separately and then enjoy the top half with all the maple and bacon. These are nowhere close to the cronut originally created at Dominique Ansel Bakery in New York and LA. If you haven't been there yet, add it to your bucket list to eat before you die, because they are heavenly. read more

We were headed out of town from visiting family, it's 8 am and we needed to grab breakfast. At first we were all "let's just grab some chick fil a" wah-wah....it's Sunday, so no bueno. Turn around and there's donut nest. Which I've seen about a dozen times driving from the house and kept thinking let's check it out. But everybody here is all about hurts donuts. And lemme tell you-hurts is not worth the wait or the money . So we swing by, and my are used to regular donuts-so they both want chocolate sprinkle rings. I walk in and I immediately have a huge smile on my face because I couldn't just get sprinkle rings. A dozen donuts later and I have a box full of Star Wars/Minecraft creations and some super delicious blueberry glazed donuts (my all time favorite). This store is the epitome of donuts. Staff is great, back room where they make donuts is open so it shows to me honesty and integrity. It tastes fresh and amazing, unlike these other franchises which taste like chemicals have been added. My favorite obviously is the fancy cake donuts. They are super soft, moist, and make you wish that this was the first donut you ever had. Very kid friendly with kid sized tables, chalkboard for drawing, balloon animals, and stickers for fun. Also kid designed donuts. Had to try their Star Wars selection. And their croissant breakfast sandwiches....I could literally eat them every day. The prices are great and the atmosphere is even better. Try a chocolate covered donut hole. Just to get a taste. I warn you. Its addicting. Anything less than 5 stars is just whiny people being dissatisfied with life and not even donuts from heaven can cheer them up. I hope this place sticks around. I've quit all other donut places just because when you've had the best, the rest is subpar. When you buy a few donuts they even give you a free mini cinnamon roll donut or a few donut holes. They are amazing. Never had a bad experience. Only thing to watch out for is because it's awesomeness has gotten out and everyone is addicted. I recommend going early otherwise you may be in line.
