Ordered 1/2 dozen for delivery. You are able to choose flavors of your choice. My favorite was the Maple frosted. I also had what they call Apricot. It's almost like a paczki. Donuts were fresh and boxed nicely. No side by side with frosting touching. These are laid flat in the box. Excellent! Price was in line with other shops/bakeries. Good selection! They also sell churros. The front staff was really nice and service was fast. We got an assortment of donuts and they were all good. The chocolate covered cinnamon roll was my personal favorite. They do sell a huge birthday cake donut which was neat! We tried an iced latte and it was ok, a little on the bitter side. Excellent place. Had the choc cream, and the red velvet cream cheese. Went at 8am on a Sat morning. Not hugely crowded. Nice lil shop. Decent selections, not massive. Service very good, price excellent, lower than others. I thought the donuts were light. Had a slight grease factor, not major though. Quality is slightly below Steves and Donut Den. Not a slight against Donut shop ,but just my personal preference. Im a donut snob . They had day old, but couldn't pick ur own, just a random assortment. Didn't have their coffee. They've removed their seating area, but obviously its to accommodate the Covid. Nice little place. Worth the stop. Honestly, Id give them 4 1/2 stars. Do patronize the Mom and Pop joints. Just recently moved to Lockport & decided to try The Donut Shop. OMG this place knows how to do FRESH Donuts. I have had the jelly donut balls, apple filled donut with cinnamon so good. My husband has had the bavarian cream it was also delicious. I decided one Saturday to take a dozen up to my Daughters home to spoil her my son in law & my grandkids. Everyone was happy. Holy Cow! I happened to pull into the strip mall and my little eye spied The Donut Shop. With such a catchy name I just knew that I would find a donut or two inside. The lights were also on so I decided to go for broke. My choices were an apple spice donut and a peanut donut. Don't order the peanut donut if you are allergic to peanuts - the thing is just covered with them! They were both delicious!!!!! The raised Apple spice donut was fluffy, fresh tasting and loaded with yummy filling. A+++++ The peanut donut was very fresh too! I think that The Donut Shop may be as good as Home Cut Donuts in Joliet. Hard to say as this was my first visit and a Home Cut has an Amazing apricot filled donut. Needless to say, try a donut or twelve - you tummy WILL be HAPPY (unless you eat all 12 donuts :). read more

Very nice and clean bakery. Lady at the counter was super friendly and very helpful. They make a large "birthday donut" which I thought was a great idea for sharing at a party. Donuts were very good and fresh. Only disappointment was in the selection of "new wave" donuts. They did have a maple/bacon, and pop tart donut. I expected the kind of edgy flavor combinations that make some of thhe specialty donut shops downtown stand out. Hopefully they keep those creative juices flowing and throw out some more creative combinations that would keep people interested to pop in and see what's new out of the fryer! read more

This place is booming. I've already come a couple times, I came with my family yesterday and they are always so courteous, clean & professional. So many donut choices! We ended up doing half a dozen to try some different flavors and my new favorite is the Cherry donut. I'm not even a huge cherry fan. All the donuts were fresh, not oily and tasted great. I really enjoyed the pop tart donut. That was the star for me. Their cake donuts and yeast donuts were delicious. The only issue I had was the glazed donut was extremely disappointing as it literally glaze on it. Overall I give it a solid 4 stars. read more

I have lived in the area my whole life and have always sworn by Home Cut Donuts. The Donut Shop is closer and the donuts I have tried are always fresh. I am a fan of a good apple fritter and the one I got was so good. Soft and doughy in the middle crispy around the edges. Just the right amount of filling. Took a couple dozen with me to work and they were a huge hit. The coffee got me to work! Great job, friendly fast service and good donuts. read more

Gave it a try and was very pleased. The prices are fair because the quality is good. The variety of donuts is also good. They have a few "special" flavors like maple bacon, red velvet. There aren't a lot of seats but most donuts shops are to-go anyways. The service is very friendly and quick. There were 8 people ahead of me and I was in/out within 7 mins.
