My beautiful friend and bride chose to have her wedding here…read more Pros: Beautiful venue Cons: 1) 1st consultation for booking Katy mentioned she would be available for questions and minor extras if needed - she was no where to be found for questions and when she did arrive, she took no ownership in prior arrangements (tables, wine chillers, lighting, easel, ect were not set up or readily available per prior discussion). 2) Contract requested security onsite for venue; plan for another extra expense (which is kinda tacky)! I'm sure Katy will respond and say that my friend signed a contract agreeing to pay for Security. That is correct - I'm mentioning so that other brides are aware of the expense. 3) Contract also stated to accommodate food for "thier staff 10-15ppl" we did at $90.00pp, but only venue staff onsite were there for shuttling guests to cars 2 to 3 attendants max. That's an excess of $900 that they profited in addition to the $5k already spent. 4) If we had known items would not be available or venue manager would be absent we would have scheduled another hour to not feel rushed or unsettled especially for this type of event.

There were 12 different selections of savories includingfresh baked scones served with fresh Swan Crossing honey and jams. Then there was a short lecture during which time there was a quick change over to the Sweets part of the menu. The selection of dessert items seemed endless. They served over 15 different types of deserts on the buffet . There were little brownies cradled on small plates with Italian maraschino cherries or after dinner mint-chocolate brownies, fresh baked cookies, lemon-raspberry petit-fours and then there were hand pies filled with Swan Crossing's pear mincemeat. That was lovely just the right amount of spice to the fruit. I also always enjoy the flavored waters. This year the big hit was the prickly -pear hibiscus water. Brewed fresh by our hostess That one ran out quick. I loved the photo op which was new this year. All the lovely hats were made by the owner Marian Tworek. There were hats in every color so no matter what someone wore to the event, there was a hat to match. We all enjoyed trying on the hearts and getting our pictures taken.
