It's called St David's Cathedral and it's really quite nice. Tons of history and lots of lofty Welsh people buried beneath. But back to the main event. I wouldn't go as far as to describe the food as heavenly, but it does a very good job of serving up fresh simple delights to the pilgrims. The Refectory space is franchised out and I can't remember who they are but they know how to do good quiches, simple fresh salads and tasty brownies at honest prices. The refectory itself is a recent addition to this thousand year old building and it's done stylishly and sympathetically. No airs and graces. A cafe vibe. Queue for your food, find a clean table and fill up with good stuff. Over that last millennium many have travelled from the four corners of the earth to pay respects to St David. We've made the very same pilgrimage. But mainly for the mushroom soup.

There are two floors to the restaurant, the top floor has the best view but the lower floor does have an art exhibition at one end which provides extra interest. They serve great home cooked food at very reasonable prices, soups, stews and amazing cakes as well. They also sell their homemade bread to take away and it was as good after a day at home as freshly made in the restaurant.

Starters cost around £5-8, mains £13-17, sweets around £5. The rooms are clean, reasonably modern and well equipped with free Wi-Fi available in the bar and rooms. The service was OK, the car park is a reasonable with a large overflow car park.

Great chefs in the restaurant, full service bar and the most delicious desserts. It has a beautiful pool with a nice hot sauna. I wished I could stay longer than 4 days during my visit. I almost wanted to buy out a room permanently. This place is a very beautiful part of Pembrokeshire Wales, not easy to get to. I wish I could move there.

The room was newly refurbished. The bedroom area was clean and the bed was very comfortable with good quality sheets. I would say that the bathroom area needs modernising, but didn't affect our experience. We had breakfast included in our stay. The breakfast was rather tasty and well stocked. As a personal preference I didn't like the scrambled egg, as it had little taste. I suspect a pre mixed bag of eggs is used for ease of cooking. Overall I would recommend this hotel and consider it good value for money

We brought our own travel cot and the staff were welcoming and very chatty. The food in the restaurant was absolutely brilliant. Many exquisite courses of well thought-out, perfectly cooked, beautifully presented food, every course felt like a real treat, for both breakfast and dinner. We were very glad we got a package deal that included the dinner, it was well worth adding in. The view from our room was stunning, just as it looked on the website (well, a bit rainier, but to be fair it was January). It was only a very short walk from the back of the hotel to the coastal path. We couldn't fault Warpool Court one bit and will be looking for any excuse to stay there again.

Me and my partner paid best part of £20 (not including drinks) for a vegetable lasagne and steak and ale pie. The vegetable lasagne was blatently nuked to perfection, and the steak pie was more like minced beef in gravy with a lid on the top. If you want to know what a real vegetarian lasagne or steak and ale pie are like, visit The Friars Vaults and Jolly Boatman respectively. And incidentily, I ordered garlic bread, not garlic bricks. So dry and overdone, I could have chained them together and made myself a lovely yet lethal pair of nunchucks. The staff in the restaurant at least were efficient, and the girl in particular who served us was very nice, but the others were congregating and gossiping which was a tad off-putting. Shame about the food, as due to its location, its food is going to naturally be one of its stronger selling points. However, I'll give it two stars instead of one for the reason that you employ the wonderfully quirky and friendly Christopher Williams. Hell of a lad, he is.

Given that the garden is situated right next to the road it's not exactly relaxing though. What's more impressive about the Glen is the food. The restaurant is situated in a conservatory which has been added as an extension, and feels a lot more upmarket than the rest of the pub. They do an amazing Sunday lunch, and it is always busy so you would definitely be advised to book. The rest of the menu is delicious too, and I have never had a bad meal here. The service can sometime be a bit slow, particularly when they are busy, but the staff always remain pleasant and polite, and are usually apologetic if you have to wait.

As I was travelling with a friend who follows a wheat/dairy free diet, we visited with great anticipation! But the bread (whilst gluten free) contained milk, the cakes (whilst gluten free) contained butter... and there was no soya milk on offer for tea/coffee. With so many people following special diets these days, there really is no excuse for tea rooms, coffee shops, restaurants and pubs not to offer, at the very least, soya milk for a cuppa!
