A nice B&B just at the point where the north coast in Norfolk turns to head south to Great Yarmouth. We got a top breakfast from owners Andrew and Caroline, who were very friendly. Very peaceful, and typically tasteful. read more

It's easy to book a room by contacting Myrtle House direct. Whilst our room was on the small side, it was clean, well furnished and had everything we needed. The breakfast was good and includes a full breakfast with vegetarian options. There's also fruit, yoghurt and cereals available.

Amanda and her family added the B&B annexe to their home only 2 years ago, and the business has flourished through word of mouth recommendations alone. So, so much better than any PremierInn or other faceless budget hotel.

First, the B&B is an early 17th century estate the maintains its exterior charm. However, the interior is quite modern and luxurious given the space to work with. The rooms were clean and very well maintained. The price was exceptional for the area, 87 pounds/night ($133), which was half the rate of nearly anywhere else around. Great shower, clean and comfy bed, and quite spacious for European standards. The owners and operators are a couple of the most friendly people around as well. Simon is the cook and a great one at that. The breakfast was delicious, plentiful, and offers quite a selection. All things considered, I could not find a single bad thing to say about this place. It really was an exceptional place with great owner/operators. Do your research and you'll find this really is the place to stay.

I was amazed when we were shown to our family room because of the layout. The double bed is in one part of the room with its own facilities and the single bed was through another door within the room providing my daughter and both myself and my partner the privacy we all need. The location was perfect for us, everything was within walking distance. The beach, the main shopping center, regent road and much more. We loved it that much that we stayed in the summer of 2013, we stayed over the Christmas holidays and we have already booked to stay this summer of 2014. The new management have done wonders with the place and really are friendly down to earth people. I would and have defiantly recommended this guest house.

The site has both chalets and caravans a lot of the chalets are privately owned which their is some people who live on the site. The site is actually a nice place the cars must be parked in the car park area and not on the grass your car can be trusted on the site. In the chalets you get what you normally get with the chalet in ours was 1 king size bed and 2 medium sized beds, it had a little kitchen along with the toilet and bathroom. The front room had a TV but we couldn't get channel 5 as the Hemsby area has problems getting that channel. On site is a launderette it's not that big but it's a decent size. Around the site are 3 arcades with people who are friendly and always happy to help. A cafe is located on the site called the Holiday Diner which was an American themed restaurant which I never went in their though. There's a store which is open early in the morning till 6pm which sells loads of different stuff. It has a pub and club near the Sundowner park it also shows Sky Sports in the bar a pint costs £1.50 there. The Hemsby site is not that far from Sundowner Park it's just a walk down a path which has a funfair, more arcades, gift stores and a nice cafe near the beach.
