The views is how this place sells their venue, it's pretty special. The decor is a bit outdated & the staff isnt young and upbeat, but nonetheless they did a decent job. The food was pretty delicious. Appetizers were plenty and the staff kept coming around with more. I chose to eat for dinner the salmon, mushroom ravioli and a few slices of roast beef, all pretty good. The only downfall is they served coffee while the cake was being cut up, but I never knew to go get cake, so by the time I realized it was in the other room my coffee was finished & I didnt want more. The food was fantastic, Everything was set up exactly how I asked. And the cake I was exactly how I wanted it to look and tasted fantastic as well! The Viennese table was amazing, the cocktail hour was loaded and everything tasted great. They also catered to the needs of my vegan friends the specialty meal. Everything is beautiful from the view to the table settings, I can't say enough good things about our day. I was just talking about this place with one of my current co-workers about an experience where his family came down with diarrhea after eating there. I was able to share my experience with this place as my old job held a luncheon there in late 2013 (I believe they went back after I left). I admit that the food tasted good. HOWEVER, IT GAVE ME ONE OF THE WORST CASES OF DIARRHEA I EVER HAD!!!!! I was tasked with driving a group of co-workers to and from the office with the company vehicle. The ride back to Goshen was absolutely horrific as that is when the "bubble guts" began to take full effect. To make matters worse, we hit traffic on 17 and I had to clench my cheeks while sweating profusely (in winter time mind you) until arriving in Goshen where I had to pull the van in front of the building and tell my co-workers they had to park the van as I had to bolt to the toilet. Could it have been me???? NO. Other co-workers came down with diarrhea that afternoon as well and one of them in another vehicle had to stop off at one of the gas stations to go #2 (or 200 as he described it)!!! What did we all have in common besides diarrhea and where we worked???? We all ate the prime rib. Our annual Christmas party is held here. The decorations are so festive and old fashioned. I love it. We always have a great time. The appetizers and dessert are delicious. The prime rib and chicken francese are very plain and somewhat of a disappointment. This is my second time here, both for weddings. This place is great. The appetizers were awesome, and the staff didnt leave anyone hungry. Bartenders were right on the mark, drinks were great. The dinner choices were chicken, prime rib, and seafood. We ordered the seafood and pasta. Before we received our main course, they started us with bread and tortellini, which was great. The main course was a hit, period! We rented the on site rooms, which were not fancy, but are clean and serve the function. Im unsure if the height of this property, however the view is out of this world. You can see for a hundred miles! Went to a wedding here this past weekend. The place was really nice. It's got a catering hall and rows of cabins, that are it's hotel rooms. The catering is hall is very nice. The food was good. They had filet of sole, Chateaubriand, and chicken cordon bleu. I had the filet which was delicious. The veggies were also very good. They had a great bar with very nice bartenders. The room or cabin that we had was also very nice. The bed was perfect for me, solid a bit hard...I like firm mattresses. The bathroom was very tiny though. It also took the shower forever to warm up. The Eagle's Nest was the venue we chose for our September wedding. We could not have felt better about that decision if we tried. Not only are the scenic views beautiful and refreshing but the atmosphere and the food are just as amazing. The process of planning our wedding was made so easy with the help of Michael and Corey Spiegel, they were both available to answer any and all questions we had as soon as we had them. They were both a calming factor in the craziness that is planning and executing a wedding and I could not have been happier to have them around. Every step from the signing of the contract to tasting and selecting foods and desserts was met with such care and detail from every staff member we encountered. The morning of my wedding Dolly greeted me with open arms and a warm hug that made me feel like I was more than a guest at their venue, we were kept happy as we got ready for the ceremony and everything we needed was attended to. Everything was beautiful and we couldn't have asked for a nicer ceremony, followed by a cocktail hour our guests loved, with appetizers brought to us as we took our formal photos. We were kept fed and drinks filled all night and anytime we needed anything Corey was right there immediately to help with a smile and a calming presence. The bartenders and wait staff were all so amazing and fun and kept everyone going. We honestly don't have a bad thing to say about The Eagles Nest we can't wait to spend our anniversaries there to eat the delicious food again (although I doubt we'll wait a year to go back). I had my wedding here last year and everything was amazing. Michael and Bobby did such a great job, I didn't have to worry about anything! I had my guests come up to me the following morning and tell me it was "the best wedding" they've been to in a long time. The food was great, and everything was beautiful from the scenery to the inside. Michael threw in extras for us here and there and Bobby stayed up with us past 3am. We utilized every cabin they had available and stayed for breakfast the next day--it was a perfect way to see everyone off. I only have two reasons why I don't give this place 5 stars. 1. The cabins could use updating, even minor ones. Many of my guests didn't know how to turn the heat on, or didn't know how to turn it down. It varied from guest to guest--my room was perfectly acceptable for me. I know the cabins have not been renovated in order to keep costs down (which is great since everyone was traveling to be there). 2. I had three different flavors baked for my cake, but we never got the center tier. Michael mentioned we would cut into the bottom, I just had assumed the center would have been served, however I was so busy with guests and dancing I forgot about it until the next day and I didn't look for it or ask about it. This certainly didn't effect my night or the overall wedding, but it would have been nice to have. Overall, I highly recommend using The Eagles Nest for your wedding or event, you will not be disappointed! read more

My sister just had her wedding at the Eagles Nest on August 14th, 2010. The Catskills isnt exactly busting out with trendy places to eat or even hold events. I was so impressed by The Eagles Nest staff, food display and the quality of service. The cocktail hour was amazing because The Eagles Nest has a million dollar view nestled on top of a mountain top. Guests were treated to a spectacular view on a wrap around deck with the mountains as the back drop. The food during cocktail hour was really good and appealed to even the pickiest of eaters. The bridal room was small but served its purposed and servers were constantly making sure there was food and drink in the room for the bridal party. Dinner was sooo good. I chose the stuffed Filet of Sole(suffed with scallops and crabmeat). Other choices included Chicken Francese and Prime Rib. Just when you think it cant get any better, the cake gets cut and then we are invited to enjoy a Vienese dessert table that even had ice cream sundaes. The bar was stocked with all of the top shelf liquor and they know how to make a drink at the Eagles Nest. Did I mention that they have bungalows for guests. For a pretty reasonable fee you can rent a bungalow and wake up to a great homecooked breakfast. I can't give this venue any stars. My fiancé and I booked the Eagle's Nest in November 2020 for an April 2022 wedding. We were so excited after reading the great reviews and meeting with Corey! I began to reach out in February 2021 to find out information about things such as hotels and transportation. I know we had some time but with so many weddings being pushed back, I wanted to make sure everything was booked and secured. I tried contacting the Eagle's Nest multiple times through email and never got a response. I found out in a Facebook group in March that the owners had changed and the venue was being renovated. I contacted Eagle's Nest through their website and finally got a call from the new owner, Blake. Before I could even speak he claimed he's been calling and leaving voicemails. I never got anything and neither did my fiancé. I even checked my junk folder to see if any emails had went there. Nothing. I asked details about the renovations and he wouldn't tell me anything but to "trust him" because he's part of a multi-million dollar real estate company. I'd like to know what a venue looks like before getting married, especially because one of the reasons we picked the venue was for what it looked like! I tried to ask about hotels and Blake told me to google it myself. When asking if we could book our rehearsal dinner there he said he would get back to me. He just kept going back to the fact that his "wonderful" multi-million dollar company knew what they were doing. He mentioned the Four Seasons and this is not something my fiancé and I wanted. We loved the charm of the venue! He rushed me off the phone and I was disappointed by the lack of details and how rude he was. My fiancé and I decided to cancel and change venues. Upon texting Blake asking for a refund, he left me on read with no response. I texted him again 2 days later and he said he was working on it. The following day he claimed he never got the money from the old owners and I would have to reach out to them myself. I managed to find the old owner on Facebook, he explained the situation and processed the refund for us. If Blake wasn't so rude and I had a better idea of what the venue would look like, we would've considered staying. However his attitude and lack of detail led us to cancel. We were sad because we were so excited about the beautiful view and cabins, but are ultimately happy with our decision to change venues read more

They had filet, prime rib, chicken, pasta and veggies. Unfortunately everything was cold, and bland. The Viennese dessert table was ok, as for the cakes they were being sliced so thin it just crumbled and looked very un appealing. I've been here MANY times for weddings, banquets, parties, etc... though never for dinner and have never written a review. Tonight, my husband and I came here for dinner. We were greeted by a very nice waiter named Aron. He brought us drinks on the veranda. He gave us menus and instructed us how to order- each of were able to choose from about 5 appetizers (I ordered the mushroom ravioli ale vodka and my husband ordered tortellini in marinara and pesto- YUM!!). That was followed by a beautiful garden salad with our choice of house, ranch, thousand island or vinagariette - all made on premises. I had the vinagariette and my husband had ranch- both were delicious. They made especially at my request a seafood fra diavlo without clams or muscles. This is my "go-to" dish because I love it. I honestly have to say that it was the BEST fra diavlo I've ever had and it's not even on their menu!!! Fantastic!!! My husband got the chicken ale Eagle's Nest, which was stuffed with prosciutto, spinach, cheese and sundried tomatoes- in a Marsala sauce- he was in HEAVEN!!! I literally took three bites of my dinner and took the rest home because I wanted dessert- which for me was the chocolate Grenache and husband had the apple pie with walnuts and raisins and a taste of the Tira Misu. We both loved our meals, loved the service (quite honestly, we couldn't understand why they weren't busier!! There were only a couple of other tables there!) and LOVE the atmosphere. Where do I even start... Upon arrival, the scatterbrained lady at the front desk was mid mental meltdown already. She would ask questions and talk over you while you answered. The wait staff was bickering about their treatment and pay for a solid hour while setting up the reception room. Bobby was very involved and seemed like he knew what he was doing BUT very quickly became overbearing and in the way. Cocktail hour food was okay at best. Artichoke hearts tasted like they just threw a bottle Italian dressing on them which was odd. Shrimp tempura was soggy. Buffet dinner was atrocious from start to finish. All of the dishes were flavorless, overcooked or a combination of both. Multiple cases of diarrhea the next day. The cabins were dated but nice and warm. There was a dead ant on my sheets. The beds were pretty uncomfortable but I was kinda expecting that considering how everything else was at this venue. Might be a decent place for a work holiday party on a budget but I wouldn't suggest booking your wedding here. This was arguably the worst staff I've come across in 100's of weddings. read more

Cocktail hour food was FANTASTIC and the dinner was pretty good as well. The views were beautiful too. I was, however, disappointed in some areas. My first disappointment with the place: no one is available to take my calls on most days. Since I never got to speak to anyone when booking my room (yeah, I had to email them), I had no chance to tell them I was a bridesmaid and what to expect with the room. Then, when I needed to check into my room, no one was at reception. I kept going out every 10 minutes to check, and still no one was there for probably an hour (with no sign). Which was distracting from my sister's big day. Then, I find out my room is REALLY far away, and it has twin beds. Is this a children's camp? Party all night celebrating my sister's wedding and then had to head back to sleep in a separate bed from my.Boyfriend. It was not at all what I hoped for. Overall: this place will be wonderful for the bride and groom and the success of the wedding. Less so for the guests. But hey, the bride and groom are really the only ones who matter anyway, right? read more

Despite the bus that was bringing our guests being 40 mins late, we could not have been more pleased with the service and quality of food.
