They do not have the necessary staffing to address the needs of older clients with minor mental issues. older people have certain Routines, they like to maintain throughout the day, but For the last few months Right At Home, Have been Sending many Different caregivers to take care of my Mom, and that has not helped her situation, actually, it made it worse. For few years they did assign a regular caregiver, but the very minute that caregiver found out that but my sister's power of attorney was transferred to me and my wife, she quit ( my sister used to give her gifts on a regular basis). These caregivers are lazy, rude, and Belligerent. For example, one caretaker would talk back and even yell at my mother, she refuses to take out the trash if the bag is not completely full. Another caregiver refused to take my mother out for a short walk because she had an important phone call that she wanted to take care of first. A couple of them would let family members drop them off and pick them up, so they couldn't take my mother shopping, or to doctors appointments, so we had to do their job for them. Many of these caretaker's English language was extremely limited, it's hard for my Mom who's English is also limited to communicate with them. These caregiver had to use an app To help them communicate with my wife and I. Another caretaker would spend hours on her phone, talking to friends And family. None of these care providers had any Skills, Compassion, or Civility to deal with an elderly sick patient, On the country because of the treatment of my mother, my mother's situation got worse and now she has to be sent to a nursing home.
