After a couple of months I decided to invest in a 'u-bute' 42inch LCD with picture in picture and all of the trimmings......I still sat on the floor and rested my feet on it, well, on the base! I don't think I would be treating my tele like that if it was one of the pretty screens from Dennis White though! Dennis White is as close to 'top end' that we get in the Hi-Tech super metropolis that is Adelaide. They are very selective of brands they stock and charge accordingly. Apparently they are cheap for the products they stock, but they could double what they had on the sticker price and I would still have no idea! Word to the wise though, if you are looking to invest in one of their all consuming Hi-Fi systems make sure you don't live in a block of appartments, unless you have some damn understanding neighbours, because those things really crank out the Kenny G!

I was given a great price and made a point of asking if unit was ex-display, ex demo etc. Was assured!! it was 'brand new'. Was happy, only to find when I got home and un-packed it, the Amp had clearly been opened and badly re-packed. I was worried and soon had good reason. I immediately started hearing 'crackling' through my speakers every time I adjusted the volume. It spent six weeks being fixed under warranty, with a faulty volume control motor. I believe this was a return and was simply re-sold for that 'great price', knowing it to be faulty! SOLD amp after that and lost money. NAD375BEE is a good Amp, just don't get it from this guy!!! Giving the benefit of the doubt, I purchased a Rega RP40 Turntable, some time later and made a point at asking once again if this item was 'brand new, in sealed box'. When item arrived, the box was not sealed, without any tape at all, it just opened, which I find hard to believe would have been sent like that from England! I opened the box and immediately noticed broken foam packaging and lots of foam pieces in box. I unpacked it, then to find it had indeed been opened and found the counterweight outside of its plastic bag and just sitting loosely inside the turntable. This is quite heavy and was not in its secure foam insert and the plastic bag it was supposed to be sitting in was pushed into the foam recess where the counterweight was supposed to sit at the side of the packaging. This counterweight was just left to sit and slide around on the face of the turntable platter causing scratches. I took the turntable to Denis White and he and one of his staff, immediately became defensive, rude, extremely aggressive, swearing and would not discuss it, after I mentioned the NAD story and this is now the second time, this has conveniently happened. This guy is a shonk and has no integrity. He is rude, aggressive, belligerent and is not to be trusted, especially if you want a good price!!! I have spent $30,000 on a Hi-Fi System and still buying! BUT NOT FROM DENIS WHITE!!!!!!

Had my MacBook screen replaced 4 times as they kept replacing it with faulty screens. Was offered a broken screen and a full refund or kept my current screen with a dead pixel and receive a half refund ($300). They had my laptop for 3 weeks. Also hard to get in contact with technicians as they work out of gepps cross not the city.

Thomas and Rowan have been helpful to me from the moment I first entered their shop. They have given me time ungrudgingly and explained after listening carefully to my queries. They have also offered helpful advice over the phone when I have rung them. As I live 90Km from Adelaide this has saved me driving there only to find that one simple piece of information has solved my problem. When necessary they have advised bringing my devices in for investigation and/or repair.This has included replacing my iPhone 6Plus camera free of charge as it fell within a batch known to be faulty, and now investigating a problem on my iMac concerning the Photo Library.

A small shop on the corner of George St and Albert St in Thebarton, I came here once to get my…read moreacoustic guitar pickup repaired. I'd passed by the shop many times but never went inside because I felt kind of shy. The front of the shop is really small so I felt abit awkward walking in only to say I was just browsing. Anyway, one day I finally had a legitimate, or at least what I felt was a legitimate reason to walk in and I was pleasantly surprised with the service. Steve is a professional guitar maker and repairer and I didn't feel any condescention in any way when I told him that all I wanted to do was fix the pickup on my cheap guitar. On the contrary, he was very humble and I could sense his love for guitars from the way he explained how I might take better care of it, even though it was only a cheap guitar. He didn't charge me through the roof for the simple repair (which I was greatly appreciative of) and he got it done for me really quickly which was exactly what I needed. Inside the shop when you walk in, you are immediately greeted by the front counter and whoever might be standing there at the time. They sell guitar cables, strings, picks and all the other standard things you would find in a guitar store. I don't recall seeing any guitars for sale, however if there are any, they aren't located in the front of the store. They also do custom builds for people who are interested in having a guitar built from scratch. From the outside the shop may not look like much, but once you get inside, you'll find all the basic things you need for basic guitar shopping. That said, if your guitar ever has a problem or needs fixing, I'd bring your guitar to Steve. He knows what he's doing and he'll take care of you and you guitar.

I had my '72 Strat refretted there recently, and it was a difficult job for Steve because it is a vintage maple neck, and I didn't want to change the look or feel of the neck, apart from the frets. Well, the job was absolutely amazing. There was no evidence of it being done at all, and the frets were finished perfectly. I even received a photographic record of the job so I could see what was done and how. Sensational! Then I got a phone call on the Saturday after asking if the job was OK and how I felt about the service. Noone's ever done that before! I really can't recommend this shop highly enough. I don't really know Steve that well, but he was highly recommended by everyone I spoke to and I can see why. The passion for guitar in the shop is self evident, it's certainly not a production line retail type thing. It's really old school and hands on. There is also a book on the counter with photo's of guitars he's made, well, I say guitars but there were Ukulele's, basses, acoustics and electrics and some weird stuff with heaps of strings! So cool! I hope this shop stays around, you hardly ever see a business where quality comes first and the prices are reasonable. 5 stars!! PS. Steve is an insane guitar player as well! Apparently he plays every Monday night at the Grace Emily hotel in the house band.

Okay, I may be a bit dramatic about this but I am just sick and tired of whoever I ask, no-one knows how to fix my cracked mobile screen. This is simply what happened: 1. While running, I dropped my phone and upon impact with the ground, cracked the screen. 2. Luckily, I had a friend that knew you so I took it in for repair. 3. You said it Android mobiles were too complicated and you weren't able to do anything for me. 4. You said you don't know which screen to pick to replace this screen. 5. I was told to try my original phone shop, as they would know how to repair it better than you. Better to be honest, than to promote your own business, right? 6. Vodafone was more than happy to repair my phone screen for AUS $250 upfront. Are you joking?! Gimme my phone back. I'll live with the cracked screen for the next 12 months. Thumbs down.

I was pretty disappointed, annoyed and worried that I'd have to deal with a dodgy phone repairer. The kind who would take weeks to get my phone back to me citing excuses like 'the parts haven't come in yet' when I know the truth is 'I've been watching cat videos on youtube for the past two weeks and haven't got around to fixing your pathetic phone'. Luckily a friend put me on to the folks at this fast and effective repairer, Psytech. They're based out of a second storey suite on Hindley Street, and the place looks a little odd. There's a waiting room with MC Escher paintings on the wall and a bloke who is presumably a massive fan of Doctor Who behind the desk. However, they're kind and patient about explaining what needs to be done to fix your phone. They gave me a free quote, my phone came back within a week, and even though electronic repairs can be notoriously expensive, I didn't feel like they were pulling my fillings to line their pockets. All in all, a great little business better than the big boys.
