I don't live too far away from here but it's always a trek coming down to downtown LA. And the tickets I received is said to park in the music center garage. Parking was $10 and really efficient. It took a while to get our bearings to find out where we could park and what was available. And at the very end, it was actually pretty efficient to get out of there as well. We're on level P6 and we were directed to go down towards the lower level and everything was very efficient to then come back up to the surface.. It's a beautiful venue. It's not huge, but they're able to make great use of the space. We sat in the balcony and got a great view and we were able to see everything fairly well. There are lots of concession stands throughout and you're even able to pre-order drinks and snacks and beverages for the intermission. Overall, it's a great venue, it's even closer to me than the Pantages, where they have a lot of other musicals as well. We caught a great show here too. This is definitely a hidden gem that I'll be excited to come back to again in the future when there are future events. Everything is so well organized and it was a great experience.

I don't know if I went to the show with too high of an expectation, but the truth is, I didn't walk away being fully blown away. I was adequately entertained, but not at the level that I came to expect from cabaret or burlesque shows in general. It's probably important to preface that I am more accustomed to seeing big production versions of shows in the same vein, such as Zumanity, in Las Vegas setting. And while I do realize entertainment of that caliber is in a different ballpark altogether, it's difficult not to compare. Billed as a homage to Tarantino films, which I know just (barely) enough to appreciate the many reference of the show, Tarantina is still a very grounded cabaret show at heart, and only superficially dipped in the Tarantino universe icing. If you're expecting it to be a movie celebration extravaganza, which I kinda did, you may be a little bit disappointed. If you're just there for a good time, to observe some talented ladies (and one token well-toned, constantly shirtless dude) perform, while you sit back and relax with a drink, this show delivers enough. The ticket price was... eh. VIP was too expensive, I wouldn't recommend anyone getting it. The GA, at $39 or so per person, including fees and all that, was a bit on the high side still, imho. I don't want to take anything away from the performers of the show, for I know all of them are disciplined artists that probably trained for their crafts with much time and dedication; nonetheless, I've just seen better, and some of them really failed to impress audience like me. Once you've seen the same tricks, but done arguably better, you'll probably feel the same. Not to be a total Debbie Downer, I do want to emphasize, there were definitely moments that I much appreciated: the MC was positively well cast. She was entertaining, one of the best parts of the show, and all she did was talk into the microphone... *with undeniable charisma*. The way she introduced each subsequent act, with brief explanation of which Tarantino film it related to, JUST FANTASTIC. I could hear her talk on and on. The one buff dude that was the token eye candy for the ladies and gay dudes, who doubled as prop master, who carried essential equipment on and off stage, was also a blessing. Of the acts that I got to see, (sadly I had to leave early due to work the next day, the show's being shown on a Thursday night and all), some were really good. Some were not so good. I do wanna list out some of the more memorable ones that I thought were worth your undivided attention. There was someone who danced with a python, along with some fire stunts. That screamed prime Britney, and therefore I ate that sh*t up. In fact, any time special flame effects were used, those were quite awesome. The ladies who exposed their perfect... uh... "female form", as the club called it, carried out a tasteful and sexy performance. Visually stunning, it was 1 of more memorable moments. There's a pure dance number, accompanied by "California Dreamin'", that was choreography heaven. It provided glimpses of what a professional dance number should look like. The fan blowing was a nice touch. As some put it, it was like watching "Dancing with the Stars". Finally, the Gogo Yubari number was also top-notched. Side note: if you're looking to see some serious boobage, then please be aware, and I quote from the MC, "this is a cabaret, and not a burlesque show". Frontal nudity is only occasionally featured. Of things that I didn't mention, some were still good. I just can't recall them off the top of my head right now. In contrast, remaining others were ok/mediocre, and a select few were sub-par. Had the pricing been lower, or had every single act been consistently solid, the act would've merited at least 4 stars from me. But right now, I would rate it 3.5 stars, but closer to the rounded 3 stars mark. I do, however, fully acknowledge that I might've missed some really great parts that were shown after my departure. The costume contest after the show, for instance, would've been wonderful to witness since some patrons were rocking some movie-grade wardrobes from the iconic films. (And just quickly circling back to the theme: if the costumes for the show, the decorations, and the routines were more heavily inspired & influenced by the Tarantino films, it would probably have pushed the ratings higher also. But hey, they did get the music/soundtracks right.) Overall, I see a show that has room for improvement, run by a group of individuals that could be showcased more properly with some better directions. But who cares what I think? Plenty of people in the audience were clearly enjoying themselves immensely. So go see for yourself instead. As a fun Thursday night on the town in the greater city of LA, it might just be enough.

Clearly they did not pay to sit there and I am still peeved about that. I would not pay for a loveseat again since anybody can just sit there if it's empty and nobody will call you out for it. I decided to treat myself and buy a loveseat ($80ish) so that I wouldn't be squished with other people and I just hope that this doesn't happen to anybody else. I have been to the LA Philharmonic Walt Disney Concert Hall several times to see/hear different genres of music from ballet, to symphony, to jazz, and of course classical music, and during the holidays they give a great performance by their choir. Those of you who know me, know I love classical music and do have my favorite composers: Chopin, Vivaldi and Mozart. On Sunday, March 29th at 7:30pm my friend and I went to see Strauss, Bruch, & Moussa's elegant, classy performance that shook up the whole entire venue and the audience. It was just MAGNIFICENT! 10/10 The venue itself is STUNNING! Glamorous and easy to navigate all the aisles. Our seats were very comfortable and you can see the stage from any corner/angle since the theatre is not that big. Also has balcony seating. Tickets were $50 a piece not including tax. It has a beautiful gift shop, garden, different restaurants all around the building, and a small store where you can purchase some beverages and snacks. Overall, a GREAT performance and we both had a lovely time. Parking is $10 with few an entrances and few restrooms for both men & women. Thank you all for another AWESOME performance!! Will definitely return again next time I get a brochure or pamphlet in my mail.

I hear such great things about Pantages but I just came back from a showing of Beauty and the Beast…read morethat was extremely disappointing. The Broadway cast and crew were amazing, mad props to them, but my grievances lie with the theater staff due to poor handling of an unruly couple (8/26 Row SS, seats 110 and 111) that disrupted my entire show. From the beginning, they were talking loudly and singing along with the musical actors. We kept trying to tell them to stop but they continued. At some point they had their phone flashlight on and was looking for something while the show was still going (the flashlight is especially bright and distracting when everything else is dark and moody). They just repeatedly and blatantly ignored basic theater etiquette. These were not isolated incidents--they were persistent and disruptive enough to significantly interfere with the experience of the people sitting around them (at least 3 rows--their row, the row behind them, and the row in front of them). The entire first half was so miserable. During intermission, I brought the situation to the crew's attention and was told that someone would speak with them. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. I also found out during intermission from other people filing complaints with the crew that they were also texting the whole time and were disturbing the people sitting behind them (on top of being loud and obnoxious already). We did have 2 people give relatively weak (not firm at all) reminders of "no phone use, no talking, no singing along during the show" during intermission after the complaints but the couple was not present during those spiels. The couple then returned late from intermission and proceeded to interrupt the beginning of the second half... and then their disruptive behavior continued. During the second half, our area collectively decided to stop being polite about our grievances and started to intervene during the performance--telling them to be quiet, stop singing, and put their phone away while the show was going on. They didn't take the criticism well and started getting defensive. Why should paying guests have to police other audience members and, in doing so, further disrupt their own experience? For me what was particularly frustrating was the apparent lack of response from the theater after the issue had already been reported. It's just such a clear disruption of theater rules and common courtesy. Plus, other people are also complaining about the same two people. There should be a clear process for addressing the behavior, including asking them to leave. I see on the Pantages website that people can be escorted out... and I just can't believe that these people had no consequence whatsoever. 3 rows had a ruined experience because of them. I understand we can't predict who's walking through the door, considerate or rude or educated or not, but there has to be a protocol for the staff for when things like this happen. We the audience don't have power to kick them out (and wish we did) but the theater has, and the theater failed us. I just wish the staff will take complaints seriously and protect the experience of the rest of the audience. Moving forward, maybe have someone with a microphone announce ground rules, once at the beginning and another before intermission ends. In fact, I can't even imagine how much more disappointed I would be if it was any musical other than Beauty and the Beast. This one I know the Disney storyline and most of the songs so even with the 300 distractions I could follow along. The same cannot be said for other Broadway musicals. I would be so lost, so confused, and probably even more frustrated than I am now. I paid to see the performance, and instead I spent a significant portion of it distracted and frustrated. The lackluster response from the theater made an already frustrating situation even worse.

The team, recently having placed 3rd place in the US in a national competition in Texas, delivered a world class routine with lively music and synchronized choreography. Roger and his team were beyond professional, showed up early to our event, were very responsive with communication, interacted with the guests, and posed for a picture-perfect photo op towards the end of the routine. The price was reasonable and the overall experience was very pleasant - I would not hesitate to book them again for any big events in the future.

I have seen the Mona Lisa and was impacted by her smile that seemed to move on its own. And ever since then I have loved Parisian culture because, after that trip, I understood that the city of lights producses so much to love and adore. It is the city that empowered Quasimoto to find his inner beauty. It is the city that had a rat control a human via its hair. It is the city that gifted the world with croissant and funny mustaches. It is the city that gave us french cheese, a queen who let others eat cake, and the guillotine because, I mean, what would a Tale of Two cities be without a guillotine. In short, I can can for gay Paree. Thus, it was only natural to attend a Bastille Day celebration to pay homage to the city of lights and butter. This celebration, I can describe as a capsule celebration. Meaning that the day did not have parades or avenue closures in its name. All the celebration was centered in this courtyard. If one has not attended the plaza, then imagine a micro Hollywood bowl. Meaning that if the Hollywood Bowl was a cupcake, this place would be a tic-tac, not a gum drop. But still, with the festivities of Bastille lighting the spot, it became a firework on display. This might seem obvious but I really enjoyed sitting on the courtyards steps and hearing french music from the stage. And I did not just like the music because it heard good, but also what it produce amongst some of the attendants-- a light-hearted frivolity that could only be expressed in melody and jaunty step. The singers explained that they were about to sing a classic french song. One that paid homage to its famous avenue: Champs-Élysées. As they were hearing words that I could barely recognized, a woman behind me started to sing as well. I turned back, we made eye contact and for a second she serenated me with the words Champs-Élysées. I felt her love for her land in her words. For a micro-second that lasted french minutes, I was back in the land of french cheese and pastries. The note she carried in her song were the tickets I needed to see Paris, even briefly again. I also saw the dancers. Not paid ones. Regular people dancing in front of the stage. I saw a man and a woman dance care free amongst many. He twirled her. She followed. It was melody in movement. Their joyful moves were mine as well. I experienced love for the French countryside through their dance. I guess national pride is contagious. The singers also played a song in English but with a French Accent. L is for the way you look tonight. It was a great afternoon. I also have no power to resist buying stuff at festivals. So I bought some french breads and a charcuterrie board. Me and my friend had it later as a snack, and it was the morsels that make Paris great. This review was tied to Bastille day. But I incldued a picture of all the different concerts. If you want a suggestion, grab a picnic lunch from very nearby Grand Central Market and experience your own music choice amonst DTLA buildings. Remember that moment is someone else dream.

The shows has drawn such huge crowds that they have added seats, and a special section for members and donors. This time around, they have added a beer garden upstairs and covered communal tables. No matter where you sit, you will be able to hear the music. Bring portable seating and your picnic basket (or support local businesses that stay open during these events. 2026 and parking is now $10 CASH or $18 with a card that you pay upon leaving. This is an LA tradition everyone should at least try once!

Primary Trust @ Mark Taper Forum…read more I really enjoyed seeing Primary Trust, a very moving play, this evening at 7pm. The theater is large & spacious. I had a third row seat that was under $40 & I could see & hear everything perfectly. In fact, because the stage is round and the seats are in an arc around it, it really doesn't seem like there is a bad seat in the house. The plaza that the theater is in reminds me of Lincoln Center in NYC, and enjoying the programming here really feels like "going out" as the area is brightly lit and festive.There are several eateries snd a wine bar in the plaza. You can also bring drinks and snacks to your seats. I'm also happy to note that the staff & ushers were all very nice. The small cast did an excellent job & even with a heavy subject, they still managed to get laughs out of us as well as many moments of absolute, reverent silence because we could feel what Kenneth was going through. Kudos to everyone who worked on this very special production. It's closing in June 28th, so go see it if you can!! Peace!

The VIP room was pretty empty as well. And you're not allowed to bring outside food or drink. Some shirts and hoodies for sale but pretty lackluster overall. Many people complained about the plot, but I went in with no expectations and had a good time. If you reframe it as you somehow fell into hell and need to escape, then you'll have a great time. Don't think too deeply. The actors, ambiance, decorations and room setups were well done. The ice room could've been colder with some dry ice. I do think it's pretty steep for a 35 minute escape maze and the behind the scenes was cool but short. The whole experience took us an hour, including bathroom breaks. I recommend going early because it seemed like the actors don't get a lot of breaks so I'm glad I got to see their more passionate acting when they're not tired yet. I think it's good to try once as a beginner but definitely more excited to try other productions like Willow.
