Very nice upscale pub style restaurant. The room is warm and cozy, with dark wood and leather, with subtle but not overly dark lighting. Very welcoming and comfortable. We arrived a bit early, before the restaurant was officially open, but we could get a Guinness at the bar and relax till the dinner hour.
I ordered the early bird special, which consisted of your choice of starter, main course, and dessert, all for 20 Euro, which is really a bargain. I had the vegetable soup (hot and absolutely delicious), salmon (good, served on mashed potato, with a side of vegetables), and the apple pie (good and not too sweet, served with both cream and a milk type sauce which I liked very much). All in all, a lovely restaurant, attentive waitstaff, good food, and reasonable prices. I'm loving Sligo more and more. read more
