We had a trip planned from 12/26-1/6/24. I filled out the form as needed prior to the deadline. On 1/4/24 a message was sent out on the dance studio app/parent portal stating a rehearsal had been scheduled for my daughter's team to take place on 1/6/24. Yes, that's a 2 day notice during a holiday break, which is absurd in itself. Although I had filled out the prior engagement form, I reminded them that we would not be able to make it due to being out of town. A message was sent back in the group chat by the dance teacher stating that I did not fill out a prior engagement form, and then advised that I did but that the end date on form was incorrect (12/26/23-1/6/*23* due to the auto population within the form instead of 1/6/*24*) so that it was not recognized in the calendar and stated "there isn't a person sitting there checking each date as it comes in." So what is the point of the form if those needing the info to make a schedule are not checking them during the planning process? I apologized for the mistake, gave my opinion that a 2 day notice was not fair to any of the families, but again admitted that it was a mistake apologized, thinking that was the end of it. 1/7/24 with no other communication, I receive the attached email stating that m daughter and myself are being REMOVED from the team/studio effective immediately. I was locked out of the parent portal and app right away, which also locks me out of confirming how much money is/was in my FULLY PAID account or viewing my signed agreement. They are kicking my 6 year old off the dance team because of adult misunderstanding, They all come across sweet and nice at first but that's so far from the truth they only want your money if you're even good enough for that. I will never be walked all over allow my children be walked over or dumb myself down for anyone! It's is supposed to be about the children and their love for dance but it is nothing more than a popularity contest and a do as I say atmosphere. I know this happened for a reason but it doesn't fix my daughter's broken heart. She will be just fine and has since found a new studio to love her.

My daughter looked forward to class every day and even though she was a participant for a short time, I noticed some improvement in the way she pays attention to instruction. We regretfully had to discontinue her classes due to a time conflict with pre-school, but plan to sign her up next year as well as our little boy when he turns 3. Sometimes some of the older kids from the more advanced classes come and assist with the small children. They offer a variety of programs for all ages; highly recommended!!

I have spent several nights at Studio 5-6-7-8 watching the instructors teach her proper form and technique. The instructors care for all the children in and out of the classes. They are excellent teachers. When I was a teenager, I was the older brother that followed my sister to her dance classes and finally joined her (it is a great selling point telling a teenage boy that they get to dance with girls). After a few years, my sister and I joined the Twin Cities Ballet Company. Unfortunately, when I moved to Florida, I stopped dancing because I was accepted to join the St Petersburg Ballet Company but I could not move to the area and then could not find anywhere to dance when I was in the area I had moved to. Listening to the instructors, I hear them talk to the students like my instructors taught me. They are very professional and respectful to the children. Several years ago, my son has started taking classes for Drums and joined the Studio Rock Band as the drummers. Mr Micheal has taught my son appreciation for his instrument and encouraged him to also learn to play the guitar. Also, Studio 5-6-7-8 always have wonderful and entertaining Recitals at the end of the school year. As someone that knows what it takes to learn for quality dance teachers, I can completely recommend Studio 5-6-7-8 to anyone. It is a pleasure watching my children and all the other students learning to enjoy music and dance. I hope that they will keep up their love for this all through their lives. Thank you to all the instructors for making this difference for my children.

If you live in the Kissimmee/Poinciana area, you will not find a more organized, professional, quality and affordable dance school. The owners, Julie and Michael, genuinely care about their students and sacrifice so many hours to create the perfect atmosphere for their business. My daughter became a skilled dancer and more importantly, she gained confidence and learned discipline. Ms. Julie's no nonsense policies are just what parents need to keep from falling into the "dance drama" pit. The annual recital has become a broadway quality show worth every penny. We really miss this school and I would recommend it to anyone!
