8/9/25 8pm Fun room. Awful staff. We had Emily & some guy that was working the front desk. Neither of which were welcoming or friendly. They sent a text saying the room would be ready early but unfortunately we live so far away we couldn't arrive any earlier. Both seemed annoyed when we arrived. Zero greeting. Super unfriendly. Rushed us back to the room, annoyed at any questions we asked. Didn't allow us to watch the usual rule video. Emily appeared as though she had just rolled out of bed in an old torn up t-shirt & sandals. We were on the last puzzle. I tried to ask Emily about the final clues, once again, super annoyed by any questions. Just an overall disappointing experience. read more

We had been wanting to do an escape room lately, my husband & I like to work together on those types of puzzles and games. I saw this escape room business on Yelp as pretty well recommended. I checked out their website, which was very helpful in describing their rooms and difficulty levels. I booked their pirate themed escape room, Tides of Treason, just the two of us for $55. It was all over their website to show up early. They also emailed me their online waivers ahead of time. I appreciated that very much. We arrived early, and their website made it clear that parking was limited, and that was very much is true. There's maybe 10 or so parking spots, so definitely carpool. We were also instructed to call ahead before walking in to help with crowds and prevent sickness but they seemed pretty chill when we called & entered. We were greeted tonight by a woman named Mandy. She just asked us if we signed the waivers, if we needed to go to the restroom, and that we could start our game early. That was nice to not have to wait around. We entered our room and it seemed small at first. Mandy told us that the room was rather finicky and touchy so to not tear things apart and to understand things might not always work the first time. That left a somewhat bad first impression on us because I expected a pretty professionally done escape room. I guess that's just what happens over time? We watched 2 videos, one about game safety and another about the game's specific story telling and how to escape. They use this branded tape around the rooms to clearly mark what's off limits and not to be tampered with. I appreciated that communication. Our game was pretty fun. It was mostly puzzles with a little story telling. We only asked for one hint, and the guy who provided it knew exactly what we needed, it was a really easy puzzle part to miss because it blended in and low lighting. That's the best way I can describe it without giving away gameplay. When it came up on time the game host let us finish because we were 2 steps away from finishing and exiting the room, and we might have been the last group of the night, so it was really nice of them to let us complete the puzzle instead of rushing us out. My completionist side really appreciated that courtesy. Overall I wasn't incredibly impressed with our experience but it was still a fun bonding date. They took our picture on my personal device and not on their devices for marketing material like some places do. We might let the rooms cycle through again before we try another one. We have been several times before, and it has always been a good experience. This time, however, came with a disappointing and frustrating ending even though we escaped. We could not seem to get a lock undone even though we had the right code. One worker tried and had to get her co-worker. She came in and easily opened it, pushing it a different way, and scoffed at us, saying, "User error" with no signs of playfulness. Making demeaning comments towards your guests seems unwise. read more

This Escape Room was fun, but slacked in many areas. They are limited on space so the actual "room" really doesn't adventure far, where as other companies your "room" could be as many has 3-5 separate rooms you have to explore to escape. They were a bit choppy on instructions and presentation. The door you entered is the door you leave. (Kinda lame ) (We did not need a hint, but I asked for the review.) If you want to be provided a hint, they do not have walkie talkies so they break the game by entering the room. That really takes away from the experience. Huge negative They do not provide lockers for your belongings. You have to carry them with you. The atmosphere was pretty clammy, no airflow. The room also had a strange smell. The room we completed was the family murder mystery. It was very, very easy. I would recommend for a first timer. I wouldn't recommend for experienced players. It wasn't very adventurous. Overall the ladies were nice and had great customer service. However, we wouldn't return based off their limitations. read more

I have been to The Escape twice and each time was incredibly fun! The first time I went it was just my friend and I on a Thursday night. We did the Hors D'oeuvres and Obituaries room and it was so great. The atmosphere was spot on, and the ticking clock was definitely a great motivator to solve the mystery! There were some tricky parts, but we used 2 of our clues to get some help. In the end, we finished with 4 minutes to spare! It was such a rush and a thrill! The second time I went was with a group of four. We did the room Area 405 and found it to be very fun and challenging. I'm not sure if this room was easier because we had a larger group, but it was not as challenging as the Hors D'oeuvres and Obituaries room. We finished with about 15 minutes left on the clock. All in all, I absolutely love The Escape and can't wait to go back and solve their other rooms! Also, I love the fact that no matter what, you get the entire room to yourself. As much as I love to keep up with the newest phones, tablets, computers (basically all tech), I also love to get away from that and just hang out with friends playing board games or doing Escape type things. Now that there are so many of these types of places popping up, the OG locations like Escape OKC are beginning to stand out based on the much larger amount of reviews. It's hard to review a place like this as you don't want to spoil things, but I'll do the best I can. I'm not sure what difficulty our room was, but it was the Mad Scientist room. It consists of a pretty basic story line that you'd expect from an Escape room with an ominous narrator reminding you of your impending doom and remaining time. Parts of the room seemed a little worn out but from what I remember, none of that messed with our experience. Our group consisted of 5 people (2 of us in our mid to late 20's, 1 who was about 18 or 19, and the last 2 being about 14 or 15 yo). Some basic-ish math skills were needed while the rest was just figuring out riddles/puzzles. You get 2 hints from what I remember. We used both and had face palm moments both times because the answer was literally right in front of us. We ended up finishing with about 10 minutes to spare and as exciting as it was, we all left with a, "Oh, that's it?" kind of reaction. They definitely need to work on the excitement factor of winning as all that happened when we unlocked the door was a green light and an Escape worker saying, "Congrats!" What did impress us was all the hidden features/mechanisms. Again, that's all I can say without spoiling things. We paid $24 per person and I personally think that's way too expensive for only 45 minutes (or less depending on how long you take). Love the idea behind Escape rooms, but can't say I'll be back with those prices unless I'm desperate for ways to entertain a group of friends. read more

I chose the Four Brothers because it had the highest escape rate. I brought two teenagers and didn't know what to expect. We had a blast! We escaped with 3:30 left on the clock! We came here with a group of 8 for a birthday party. They split us up into two groups of four. Each group did the same game; something about aliens and space. I have an aversion to anything alien and space-related so I thought I was going to hate it. However, I was wrong! It's hard to review this place without giving too much away, so just go and enjoy. We had a really fun time. My group escaped with 40 seconds to spare. The other group with us was not able to escape. A couple details I didn't know- you're not ACTUALLY locked in and can leave to go to the restroom. Also you get to hit a button on the walk and get a hint two times during your hour game. read more

My children really like escape rooms and we did the Lost Antidote escape room for my daughter's 15th birthday. Without giving away any of the secrets, there were many puzzles that we had to solve. It was a really neat setup with a fun story and everyone had a really fun time solving all the clues as we were able to 'escape' in 38 minutes. They have a number of different escape rooms and judging by my experience, I'm sure all would be a good time. My children are already wanting to do another. read more

We went with a group of teenagers as a walk in on a Friday night. They accommodated us, no problem. You do not have to have an appointment, but I'm sure it would help if you made one for larger groups or if you wanted to do a specific room. I did not personally go through the escape room, so I can't personally review that. However, the 16 year old boys talked about it the whole way home and were laughing about things they had to do. The front desk girls were very personable and fun. This was the first time we did anything like this so I don't know competitive pricing, but I thought it was reasonable. Nice facility. Nice people. Actually really enjoyed this! I was skeptical at first how challenging it would be and if it would be worth the money or not, however I believe we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The room was well designed and the puzzle was very doable. We unfortunately did not solve it in time, but that was mainly on minor user errors and following the wrong path. This was fun and challenging. Except for one thing that cost us precious time and probably stopped us from solving the room. EXTREMELY minor spoiler alert, you needed to figure out a code to open a briefcase. We found the correct code, but we could only get one side of the lock open. They tell you at the beginning not to force anything, and that if you do you are doing it wrong. Well, after struggling with this briefcase for 10 minutes, we finally decided we HAD to have had the correct code, so we forcefully pulled the contents of the briefcase out of the crack that the one open side produced. It was obvious we were forcing this part of the puzzle, but we had no real choice. It was the only way we could move forward. After wasting all that time with the briefcase, we began the other parts of the puzzle and at the last step, just ran out of time. The guy came in and showed us we were one step away and after that I pointed out we couldn't get the briefcase open. He said that sometimes the dial that unlocks the briefcase gets reset to a different number. So we WERE doing it correctly, it's just that the briefcase code wasn't working correctly. I was a little disappointed he didn't offer us an extra 10 minutes to continue solving the puzzle due to the briefcase malfunctioning, or didn't offer any sort of coupons or anything. I understand that the briefcase code can get reset, but they need to make sure that they get a new briefcase or other document holder to make sure that doesn't happen. It was fun, but they need to make sure all of their puzzles work correctly to allow the player a fair shot. I felt like we were screwed out of 1/6th of our time. Oh well. read more

This was our first time in an escape room. What fun!! Our experience was a good one, but the reason for 4 stars amd not 5 is that we had some issues and the experience wasn't seamless. The room we were in was very battery heavy. Our room had 3 rooms, with us having to unlock codes to get to each one. The room has a button in it to push in case you have a problem so staff can respond. The first time we had to use it, staff came in right away. The 2nd time, no response. We had batteries run out of something we needed to be able to continue; we couldn't go any further without it! We pushed the button 2 more times, all the while our clock was winding down. We called the number on the back of the door (listed in case the button doesnt work) and kept getting fax tones. Finally staff came in, apologized, gave us what we needed, then reset the clock. We solved the room with seconds to spare! (20% success rate room! Woohoo!) Fun experience! read more

Sooo, obviously you can't post pics of this place -- as it would totally ruin the surprise for others -- but you don't need any. Believe the hype. I booked "The Lost Antidote" room for my family, the night before Thanksgiving. With two engineers and a retired cop in the squad, I knew it wouldn't take a ton of time to figure out. When you first get into the room, you're told to watch a video, that explains the background, and all you need to do. Then, the associate leaves you in the room, where a 60 minute timer begins to count down. We were able to complete everything with about 15 minutes to spare (we forgot to do one or two things that slowed us down). Overall, this was extremely fun and worth every penny. It's a wonderful team building challenge that causes you to work together, and gives everyone the opportunity to do something. As a mom of two little boys (age 2 and 6 months), I was happy this was pretty child-friendly (you do have to watch for items that can break). Everyone had a great time! read more

So much fun! I believe we did the Uptown Murder room, which we later found had a 9 percent escape rate... and we almost solved it. I'm sure everyone says that, and I would never put spoilers on for something like this, but I swear. We almost solved it. :) I can't give too many details without spoiling the fun, but basically you go into a room and there's one note/clue that leads you to look for other clues around the room that will lead you to solve a passcode to get you out of the room within an hour. My boyfriend and I went with two other couples and it was so much fun trying to solve the mystery/murder. This place is tucked away on 23rd, but we had a blast and will definitely be back. We were told they switch up and add rooms every few months, so we'll be keeping an eye out. Overall: My boyfriend and I took a weekend trip to OKC and came across The Escape OKC on Tripadvisor. Being fans of the escape games online, we thought we would give the live version a shot. It was probably the best decision of our weekend. We had so much fun and were sad to see the hour time limit fly by so quickly. Although we didn't escape, we were darn close. The Experience: It was challenging, but not too challenging. There's a story line intertwined with the puzzles which I thought made the experience more interesting. It's actually an adrenaline rush watching the clock tick down while racing around the room. Complaints: The only downfall was the price. If you have the full allowed amount of people (6), the price is cheap for weekend and group entertainment. Since it was only my boyfriend and I participating, it was a little pricey. After the game was over, we came to the conclusion that it WAS worth the money, but initially, the price almost scared us away. read more

It's my husbands 30th bday and I had booked our room 2 weeks in advance. We both had scheduled ahead of time to be off of work today so we can enjoy his day of life and that didn't go as planned 45 min before we were suppose to show up at our booked time they called my phone back to back to tell me the fire alarm was going off so I asked if I could call back in 20 minutes to see if would be off so we could still go and so that's what I did and even in 20 min they said the alarm was still going off and no fire dept was on there way to fix the problem and said we would have to book another day or get a refund. This was not cool at all and REALLY fucked up what we had planned and was only offered money back or another day. My husband works 60+ hours and we cant just reschedule especially for his bday. Never will I book with them again. just a let down read more

We came with a group of 6, including 2 newcomers and 4 who had done escape rooms before. We did Area 405 and finished it in 45 minutes. Without revealing any details, we have done other escape rooms with more interesting mechanics and puzzles. The time really flew by, so we were having fun, but we didn't find it too challenging overall. I think the biggest knock was that it wasn't very exciting when we won. We saw the indicator flash, we walked out, and the person at the front didn't seem very excited that we had escaped. Maybe it would have felt better otherwise. read more

I've been here twice-once with a work group and another time with family. These puzzles were pretty well designed. We didn't make it out of either although one we got pretty close. The clues were helpful-unlike another escape room in town I've been to. The staff is friendly and helpful and the design of the rooms/props are also better than the other place. Overall-a good time. We went for a birthday escape room and did the "Conquer the Embassy" room, which is supposed to be the hardest one. Disclaimer: We had 6 people, and you definitely need more than 2 to complete the game. Lots of puzzles to solve and each one takes some time. They do offer hints if you want to trade 4 minutes of game time. The hint wasn't really a hint, the guy just comes in and solves one piece of the puzzle for you (lame!). But the game was interesting, the plot was thoughtfully fleshed out, and the actual puzzles in the room were really cool once you solved them (i.e. trap doors). I recommend the Escape rooms as a nice alternative activity if you need some indoor A/C time in the summer. read more

Two long-time returning customers of Escape OKC arrived excited to try a new room. Having arrived at the time we booked, we were immediately chastised for not arriving 10-15 minutes early--mind you, we've heard the rules 5+ times before. We were told our 60 minutes to complete the room had already started and hurriedly squeezed into our experience as if we were unwelcome, stupid customers. About 20 minutes into completing the room, one of the room mechanics was not working properly, and we were not able to unlock another room for about 10 minutes. We asked for a clue and the manager came to fix the broken mechanic. They did not offer an apology or extended time, and when our time was up, they said sorry you weren't able to make it, it's a hard room. Well it's a particularly hard room when the room isn't working properly and you're greeted with a bad attitude from the start. No reward for being loyal customers, they acted as if it did not matter that the room wasn't even working. In terms of the poor customer service, this is par for the course at Escape OKC--they make little to no attempt to consider your experience or be accommodating in any way. read more

This was so much fun, and we had a great time. However, these review about non-functioning equipment are true. When the hour was up, the girl opened the door and was surprised to find us standing with the door code. We told her we tried the door three times and it wouldn't open. Her excuse was that it can be picky. Then we closed the door and asked her to unlock it. It took her five tries. If the purpose is to find the code that unlocks the door, the damned door better open!!!! read more

As first time escape room visitors, it was definitely a fun experience. A few recommendations: (1) For an adult group, I would choose the most challenging room. I agree with another reviewer, that while the concept is fun and different, not all of the clues are in "working" order. We had a few things that HAD to be used to get out (won't be specific so as not to give anything away) that had dead batteries, one clue we found had things written on it from a previous group, and some of the clues were done by hand and REALLY hard to read/understand because of the paint/ink used. The rooms get turned over so quickly, 15 minutes in between groups just wasn't enough. If one group was late, it threw every other group off, which left 12+ people waiting in the small waiting room. I also think this attributes to the clues in the rooms not being checked completely before the next group, there just simply wasn't time. That being said, the staff was very nice and welcoming. It is nice to have something new and different to do for entertainment, and I think this place is really on to something. They have some kinks in the system that I'm sure they will get ironed out with time. I would still like to come back and try another room in the future! read more

Amazing amazing amazing experience. My siblings and I drove up from the DFW area to try all four of their rooms (The Antidote, Hors D'oeuvres, The last Illusion, Area 405) and they did not disappoint. IMO the Hors D'oeuvres and antidote are my favorites, so if you plan on only doing a couple, make sure it's one of these. One thing you'll notice immediately is the attention to detail they put in each room. They don't skimp on props and it seems like you're actually in the situation (area 405 especially). The use of technology in each room is astounding and creative. The whole staff was great and very friendly and we were told that they change the rooms every few months so we look to come back in the future. The pass rates on each room reflect the rooms, they aren't easy, but they are very fun and challenging. Exactly what you want in an escape room. The premier escape rooms in OKC and it shows. This blew my mind. I did not know what to expect... But I had a blast. The room had a very nice theme (murder dinner .... Kinda like playing Clue) and while at the beginning it was very easy to find clues and start solving the puzzle, it kept getting harder and harder. Needles to say we didn't get out of the room (in our defense the escape rate is only 20%) I like challenges and solving problems.... So the whole hour seemed like 20 mins to me. Highly highly recommend. I have only been here once, but I am definitely going back. The owners told us the have acquired the building next to it and they are planning on expanding. I hope they add more rooms as they only change one of the four rooms every 3 months (at least that is my understanding) and I am pretty sure I will go to all of them within the next month or so (that is how much I liked it) Recommended for groups. Don't try to go by yourself or you'll probably bail out. read more
