Because things were happening in a whirlwind, I had to cancel and reschedule a few times. Diane was very understanding and always responded to follow-up calls. Unfortunately, I did not end up having a sale because of what was going to be available, but Diane clearly explained that and even recommended some options for me.

I am a young collector and artist, and I have been attending estate sales with my father since I was a young girl. I was excited to attend my first Diane Hudec Estate Sale at a gorgeous home with many lovely vintage items. I did not have any issue with the sale prices, and I was able to get some nice items. However, the sale was sloppily run, and the estate company showed what I can only describe as disdain for the people that had shown up to shop. There was not enough staff, nor were they coordinated well enough, to properly price, cashier, separate, and pack items. Diane, working as the cashier herself, was the only person available to "consult" for prices for anything without a dedicated tag (at least 60%). Past Diane's final sale time, customers waited in line with only what they could hold in their hands (it was not stated in the rules to bring your own boxes, bags, or packing materials, yet they haphazardly (dis)allowed shoppers to use anything from the estate). Myself, along with other customers, checked out multiple times as they did not have a proper place to hold items. The checkout area was far too small -- not only did I feel rushed to check out, but I was also treated as if I was trying to steal something, or pull one over on somebody. Quite the contrary. Me, along with everyone else in line, was desperate to spend money and get out, but her own greed in making sure she extracts *her* value from the property prevented many more wonderful items from going to a good home. In a day and age where a lot of nice things go to landfills, and it's only going to get worse, I found it unfortunate that Diane runs her sales this way. I will keep going to estate sales, but will definitely avoid Diane Hudec Estate Sales! **I posted the above portion (with two stars) before reading other reviews. Now, I say with certainty: if you at all care about your estate, or if you are a shopper... beware. As someone who takes both discrimination and vintage items seriously, it breaks my heart and infuriates me that she is still in business.

I appreciated how easy Terri was to coordinate with - she even did a FaceTime with me before the session to give me some organization product ideas. Amy was our organizer on the day and she was lovely to work with. She helped us go through our master closet in a very nonjudgmental and straightforward way. She helped us donate almost 3 bags of items. We plan on working with Terri and her team again and would recommend for anyone to hire her for your organizing needs.

Four Years Later…read more.. The Chicago Organizer is still great at helping me get all of my stuff organized and manageable! After I moved house, I had so many rent-a-crates to unpack and return very quickly. I felt overwhelmed and couldn't move two feet without hitting a box, and unpacking by myself was too slow. I contacted Terri again. Terri couldn't come out to personally help me within my limited window of time, but she has fantastic team members. Kammy came to help me, stayed for just under five hours, and we unpacked every rent-a-crate plus all of the cardboard boxes! There is a little left to do in order to make my new place feel like home, but Kammy's help means that 95% of the work is done. I am so pleased with The Chicago Organizer. Terri and Kammy are kind, professional, quite fair in their pandemic requirements, and most of all -- HELPFUL. Money well spent again!
