My 98yo Graham entered this facility in descent health and left with bed sores, a UTI, and basically dead. She did not have those issues prior to being in this facility. The nurse are beyond rude. The phone rarely gets answered. One of the nurses told my 98yo Graham she was acting like a baby. They were very rude to her. They laid her up in a bed, she wasn't eating, they would remove the food without feeding her. They didn't even try. The TV was out of reach. They would not place the phone where she could answer it. They made her keep the volume down to where she couldn't hear the TV. She complained about pain on her back side and they did nothing. Come to find out she had bed sores and a UTI. This place is horrible and you'll see my reviews and letters to the state regarding this facility everywhere. Greatest decision ever made on my mother's behalf. My sisters and I couldn't allow the unacceptable level of care to continue. After arriving at the hospital and being given several test it was determined that she needed 2 units of blood and had a blood clot that has formed behind her knee. She has been here 4 days. Our mother is 84. This lack of proper care or dismissive concerns could have cost us our mother. If something doesn't feel right it usually isn't. This place is definitely not on my recommended places to trust with the care of a loved one.

It increase tore $875/month in a year. On May 1, 2025 I visited to find what the lot rents were now. The lot rents run now from $1,300/month (low) to about $1,560/month (high). In comparison, my 1/4 acre block home in Ocala has a mortgage of about $2,000/month. There are a lot of inexpensive homes in Cypress Lakes (many turnkey with golf cart). I wondered why and now I know. You may buy and own the home for cash but the lot rent will be be $1,300/month. Florida law allows for up to a 5% increase annually. That means it will increase a minimum of $65/month/per year. In 10 years your $1,300/month lot rent will be $2,121/month and you have no guarantee that it will be maintained as beautiful as it is today! Although beautiful, I suggest you look elsewhare!

I can express how helpful and pleasant she was to deal with. Her knowledge of manufactured homes was unbelievable and she was able to make the right choices in order we may begin our new retired life. I have spoken to numerous residents in the community that expressed and experienced the same thing my wife and I did so I believe Mr. H had some other motivation in his off sided comments. The community is wonderful the golf course is always in excellent shape and having a restaurant on site is an added bonus. My only complaint is the lot fees are very very high and my concern is they will price themselves out of the market and we will have a had time selling when that time comes.
