I guess "Anytime Fitness" sort of started this trend, but this new wave of lifting gyms definitely refined their concept. Everything about dropping in to RTS was super easy. I sent a quick email to the owner telling them what I wanted to do, and I soon received a link with a waiver and payment instructions. After signing and paying the reasonable drop-in fee, I was sent a code that was good for 24 hours. I actually initially (accidentally) asked for the wrong date, and I called the same morning to get it changed. The owner was super prompt, and changed my date to that day within 10 minutes. When I got to the gym, the codes all worked and I was working out in no time. All in all, I was very happy with the process, it was super easy and and owner provides great customer service. The gym itself is great. They have pretty much everything you need for powerlifting and oly lifting. Their barbell selection is particularly good. There's also a lot of equipment, so even though there were five other athletes working out when I was, I never had to wait for anything. The bathroom was a bit small and was out of TP when I was there, but it's a common bathroom for the whole building, so I don't really blame the gym for this. There's a bus from Downtown Cincy that drops off right in front.

Tonight was my first time visiting Cincy 360. My friend Kristen drug me with her because I've been…read moretelling her I wanted to get more toned and develop more muscle. You can either do personal training sessions or classes. This is not a gym where you go workout by yourself when you want. I went to a circuit class that lasted 60 minutes including stretching at the beginning and the end. The first half is 8 stages of exercises focused on weight training. You do each exercise and then repeat the round for a total of three times. Each stage is 40 seconds on, 20 seconds rest. With a break after each round. The next half is very similar but with cardio, 20 seconds on 10 seconds rest. Man could I feel the burn at the end! After the class was over, Josh our instructor (who I also found out is the owner), stayed to take his time and answer so many questions for us and show us some extra tips. He went the extra mile and took his own time at no cost to us to help out and make sure we had a good experience. This is definitely a place to go if you're looking for results. These people will help get you there. Your first class is free, and they even have a great introductory rate for your first 3 personal training classes! (I'll be signing up for those)!

Every time I'm in there's multiple tours and multiple people signing up to a gym that is already crowded. If you go on a Saturday morning and cannot find a squat rack or a flat bench to do a workout you've signed up too many people. If I want to pay for overcrowded, I'll use planet fitness for 20 bucks a month. I haven't even begin to talk about the summer months. The pools are beyond overcrowded and disgusting. And due to signing up too many members existing members cannot take family friends or guess on any day that's considered a holiday and on any weekends, you have to pre-sign up The whole system stupid confusing and is only necessary because they sign up too many new members. STOP SIGNING UP NEW MEMBERS

He helps people modify as needed, and no matter the skill level, no one is left behind or stands out - it's true group fitness in that it feels like everyone's in it together, though there is also personal training available as well! It's motivating but not cheesy or gimmicky - something else I really appreciate as an alternative to the big name group fitness gyms. A very friendly atmosphere but no nonsense as well - it's a true challenge every time but somehow we finish. I feel great every time I leave, and I have definitely gotten stronger since I started. The set up is you go to 9 different stations for 3 min each. Some are weights/cardio, most involve punching/kicking. Let me just get into why this is my new favorite gym. I like lists :) 1. The first class is free! So you know what you're getting into before signing up for a membership 2. The class is only 30 minutes. It's easy to fit into your schedule. 3. Even though the class is short the work out is great and I feel like I'm getting into better shape and losing weight 4. The trainers are super encouraging and helpful. 5. You don't have to have any experience in kickboxing to come here. They show you all the moves before each station. 6. The workouts work for all people whether you're in shape, or not..... :) 7. The trainers walk around and do 1:1 punches or kicks with you every once in a while 8. It's pretty cheap for what you get out of it. I signed up during a promotional period: $50 for registration (you get gloves and wraps), $109 a month. You can go to the gym as many times as you want. I think normal price is ~$100 registration and ~$115 a month. 9. There's new workouts every day Only con I've found is the hours (limited on Sat 9-12pm and none on Sunday), but you can work around that for the most part and just plan to come more frequently during the work week.
