Hard to know if this place is good or not. The door was locked yet there were people inside and even after banging on the door and waving with a big smile, no one would come to the door. I wish I could give this place less stars. But all I can say is I would be unsettled if any young woman in my life worked out here regularly. My sisters had a scary experience in a gas station when they were trying to change their clothes so I said we could use the key fobs to get into the gym that I PAY FOR so they could change their sweaty clothes after a sports tournament close by. The "assistant manager" was immediately rude, making one of them almost cry. So I went in with them, mind you, these teenage girls were just trying to use the restrooms and it's a Sunday so this gym was practically empty, and this woman was so unbelievably rude. She almost wouldn't let them and then when she finally did she followed us around the gym until she made me talk to the manager on the phone. He was also making a big deal out of Teo girls who would be allowed to workout there use the bathroom. Don't know what the issue is... unless there is something unsafe happening to young women at the Anytime Fitness Mount Lookout location. Both were extremely unpleasant interactions. Anytime fitnesses are independently owned so they preach that the owners know the area and have a family oriented, safe space attitude... not what I found here. read more

Anytime Fitness is just that...fitness ANYTIME 24/7. As someone who hates to sweat in front of others, this place is my dream. I go later in the evening when there are very few people working out. I have my choice of equipment, which are all very well maintained. They also have an app that allows you to control the music in the gym. The staff is friendly and has a presence during regular business hours. They are beyond helpful and always happy to answer questions or give advice. When you sign up you're given a key fob that gives you access to the building whenever you'd like. They have a nice and easy to access location in the heart of Columbia Tusculum. So if you're like me and you enjoy working out, but not the crowds or the wonky hours I would highly recommend Anytime Fitness. They offer monthly memberships so you can always try it out and fall in love like I have! read more

The only place I go to be workin on my fitness. When it comes to the gym I tend to be more of a loner. I like to find my machines, do my thing, and get out. I love that the staff is very friendly and that classes and training are offered here but not forced. They are not lying when they say "anytime." Every member has a swipe card to get in, and you literally can go whenever you want. That is a huge plus for me because i like to make working out happen around my schedule. Ive been there morning, noon, and night. The 24 hour surveillance always makes me feel safe no matter when I'm there. The only small downside is that it Is on the smaller side as far as gyms go. It gets crowded around 6, but I've never waited for a machine more than once. This place has exactly what I need but if you're looking for a large variety of equipment and auditorium rooms this isn't it. Does the trick for me. read more

I took advantage of the yelp trial offer. The place is clean, safe, the equipment is good condition. Charles the owner is very nice. The cardio machines all have individual screens which is a nice distractions. I like how it's small. However, I didn't end up staying here because the value wasn't there, and it seemed a little bit expensive for what I would get. The 24 hour access is nice, but not necessarily something I'd take advantage of, and I wouldn't necessarily use all of the locations. It's worth checking out, but not for me. read more

I get a discount through my employer so I inquired. For 12 months, $43 a month and $59 for a fob but they waive the enrollment fee ($49). Way too expensive with discount, I can't imagine what it costs without one. Fine, I figure I will at least stop by and do a trial to see if I like it. At 2:45-3:00 PM on a weekday, no staff to be found and of course you can't enter without the key fob. Why are there no staff around in the middle of the afternoon on a weekday? Between the gym being expensive (even with discount), small (from pictures), and no staff being available at a fairly busy time I'm going to go to Crunch instead. They have a $39 enrollment fee, but they seem open to dropping it. $39 annual fee. But it's $10 per month to also get 24/7 access. It's significantly larger as well. read more

Let me start off by saying, check out Planet Fitness first. Now I'll explain why. What drew me to this gym was the fact that its open 24/7 and you can go to any of their locations. It was kind of small but not too busy when I went, so I signed up right away. First off there was a $60 initiation fee. Basically it was for the key to swipe yourself in. Okay I thought a one time fee. Then I signed up for an 18 month contract at around $40 a month. Time to start working out. I went after I got off work the next day. When I got there I had to get dressed in the bathroom which I thought was odd for a gym. They also had no lockers for your things, you have to leave them sitting out on shelves. Anyone could walk off with your bag (They didn't, but still it didn't seem very secure.) They also don't have a bench press machine at this location... What they have is a squat rack, bench press, and deadlift area all in one machine (its adjustable). So if someone is doing squats, You're out of luck, unless you want to use the smith machine, but no one does that. They also don't have a huge selection of dumbbells. You would expect a gym to have two sets of the popular weights, Like 2 sets of 30's but they don't, so chances are you'll have to wait for the dumbbells you want. After the first week here I already wanted out of my contract. But I was locked in for 18 months, and the cancellation policy was obscene. I would have to pay $20 a month for my remaining time there. So basically I had to give them $360 to cancel. I sucked it up and kept going. Eventually my girlfriend got a PF membership and took me there as a guest. It's $10 a month, has no cancelation fee, no initiation fee, and actually has more machines and dumbells than this place does. Its basically every thing this gym has, and more at a quarter of the cost. The only thing they don't have is barbells for bench, but you can just use dumbbells instead and get a similar result. Its not like you could ever get on the bench press at this place anyway. It was always being used, because they only have ONE. I was so happy to finally get out of my contract here. It was a complete waste of money. Please, please, please don't make the same dumb mistake I did. Look around for other gyms, I'm not saying PF is going to be the best option for everyone... But at least look around at other places. I went to a 24 hour fitness out in California that was cheaper than this place! And it was walking distance to the beach. TL:DR You're going to be paying way to much for a tiny gym, and not that much equipment. It didn't even have a proper bench press. Think twice about signing up. read more

I did not have a good experience trying out this gym. I just did not feel welcome at all in actually joining this gym. There was a high pressure sales tactic that was imposed on me, but yet if you work for P&G you get a great corporate discount. I got the impression that this gym caters to P&G employees. The "manager" kept talking about the P&G employees and how they get a discounted rate. I asked about my company and basically my institution was laughed at by the manager. I was given a speech on how "affluent" this neighborhood was, as if I didn't "fit in". I actually make a 6-figure income, so this was offensive to me. There were a lot of "references" made to my health which I found off-pudding. In other words, if I did have a health problem, this would have made me very uncomfortable. The gym does not have good work-out equipment either. There were a lot of standard pieces that just were not there. They are doing a huge renovation soon, but only on the carpet and the ceiling?? I don't know what other to say than the manager did not make me feel welcome at all in joining this gym. I almost felt as if he was "running me off" from joining due to how the gym clearly caters to P&G employees. You may have a different experience, but this was mine. read more

I've Been a member of anytime fitness since 2015 the mount lookout location is very clean and has a friendly and trustworthy group of members as well as the staff who all take their health and fitness goals seriously. The atmosphere really aspires you to achieve your goals. I enjoy going here because unlike other chain gyms they have a much more personal gym experience that makes it feel like a one of a kind stand alone gym. I personally dislike large gyms i enjoy workouts with supersets and keeping my heart rate up throughout my workouts without worrying about finding the other machine on the opposite side of the gym and wasting my rest periods. Plus they have an abundance of free weights as well as a isolation machines and a smith machine. If you're looking for a great work out experience I suggest this Anytime Fitness. read more

The friendly, knowledgeable staff are the heart and soul of this great small sized but well equipped neighborhood fitness center. Charles, the manager, is not only the epitome of a knowledgeable fitness professional, he's also the nicest the guy around and is totally buff. The gym has just about everything you need to meet your fitness goals, it's a new place so everything is in great shape, and since there is 24 hour access it suits anyone's busy schedule. This Gym is simply the best! Spotless, friendly and very aware of who we are not only as members but also neighbors. Eva and I have been to several others in the past, none come close to Charles and Co at this specific Anytime. We're members now for (I think) 4 years and I still go there every single day. It's there for me, they're there for me and we're making the best use of both! We utilize the machines, the weights and the training. We feel very much at home every time we come. As someone that is just getting back into working out regularly, Anytime Fitness is perfect for me! Charles is incredibly friendly and knows everyone by name. He and his staff do a wonderful job of keeping the gym SPOTLESS...and I'm picky when it comes to cleanliness. I've never had to wait for a cardio machine and there is a good selection of machines and free weights. The showers are huge and nicely updated. As a woman that works out by myself most days I appreciate the secure key entry and cameras everywhere. I have never felt unsafe or worried about things getting stolen, as I have from other gyms. read more
