The store is well equipped and shelved with board games, card games, and some of the most popular wargames and miniatures. Paints and such as well. Plenty of card games as well. a large amount of tables are available for play, and even a refreshing amount of store supplied terrain. It is busy and seems to hold various tournaments often.

But what really got me was her man employee that had to get the thing out of the store. It's like someone just ran over his cat and then backed back over it again in front of him. He was grouchy and uncomfortable to work with as I had to help him get it taken apart and then out the door. Not a thank you for helping him or nothing. So not only did I pay full price, I didn't get the whole hutch AND I had to do manual labor, but the worst thing of all was his demeanor. Put a freaking smile on your face dude. Or get out of the customer service business, you belong at the DMV honestly.

So, I managed to stay out while the ladies enjoyed their ice cream. When they finished their dessert, they came out, promptly saw this place, and walked in. Well, I walked in, knowing I would spend some money. They had loose geodes in some crates. I chose one, purchased it, and then cracked it open with their machine. Not that I have a bucket list, but if I did have one, I would scratch this item off. Thanks to the people at Spirit Of The Earth, I now have a geode. Mrs. K. also managed to purchase some healing bracelets. It's a fun place to visit, and if a wooly mammoth bone is on your bucket list, they do have one.

According to their website "we carry plants, garden supplies, books, gifts, and locally made items. Maximizing the enjoyment of life spaces through nature, imagination and thrift." Rick Molek is the owner of Thrifty Garden and he opened this micro-nursery in January of 2018. In addition to the gifts and plant supplies, Molek offers workshops on raising houseplants and also offers a houseplant hospital by appointment. Houseplants are a great choice for novice gardeners when Florida's temperatures start to soar the 90's. Thrifty Garden offers many different types of houseplants in the shop, and prices are affordable so you can flex your green thumb with minimal risk. They have offered in-person classes on plant care ever since the shop opened and with the pandemic they added online and phone coaching too. Don't forget that they offer beer and wine too. So I finally got there and was surprised ( not in a good way), by what I found. They had one small sewing aisle. Each shelf had barely anything on it. And the material they had was not good. In fact the entire store seemed thrown together. What a disappointment to the sewing community! Shame on Michaels for false advertising!
