Do not go here!! Went for years when it was Quigley, but was sold to The Eye Associates. Went for eye exam for near prescription change. When leaving they said it was a $15 co-pay and $75 for an infraction. Was under impression it was totally covered by my healthcare. Could not review paperwork given to me due to my eyes had been dilated. Once home I called my insurance company and was told EVERYTHING was covered as this was a regular eye exam. The Eye Associated had coded it as a Medical eye exam. Days later when I checked their appointment person they default all appointments to Medical! To make matters worse, when I looked at their future appointment and $15 and $75 receipt, they applied everything to another patient with the same last name as mine! (A HIPPA violation I am sure) still trying to straighten everything out! read more

My husband was told his exam would be covered by insurance. After the exam, he was told everything was done. Then, he received a bill for $147.31. I had made an appointment myself and was told insurance would cover my cost. When I got into the chair, the tech told me I would end up paying $200. She told me it is common for people to told their cost would be covered, then they get a bill. She was nice enough to let me know ahead of time, and I left without getting the exam. read more

The eye care is excellent. Their scheduling and coordinating with the patients is beyond miserable. Billing department doesn't know how to run their own software. Scheduling people just jam as many people into the waiting room as they can, and then YOU get to hope that they'll eventually get to you. 1st visit? 1.5 hrs after our scheduled time. 2nd visit 2+ hours after our scheduled time. Reason? "Doctor has to leave at 1:00 PM today so we called his appointments in for a morning visit." We were technically the 2nd scheduled appointment. They lost us in the paperwork and eventually saw us. I think the medical care here is excellent but I'm not at all sure it's worth the wait. Upside? Do not go there!! I called to make sure our insurance was in-network and our yearly exams were covered at no cost to us . They assured us that was correct. My husband had to pay $45 and was just billed for another $30. They said it was a medical reason which is totally false. Buyer beware. read more

Dr. McCracken is great. The optic section is great. Nikki is top notch! And all the techs and staff are pleasant and professional. over the years they have had staffing problems, but recently that has changed for the better. I recommend them. read more

I have been a patient at Quigley Eye Specialists for several years. Dr. Judd was my doctor in Fort Myers but I was unable to travel there. I chose to visit Quigley Eye's office in Punta Gorda where I live. Dr. Campbell is my doctor and I have complete faith in him. I had an appointment scheduled for August 16, 2022. I was just notified today that my appointment had to be rescheduled. The earliest I could be seen in Punta Gorda was in Feburary 2023. I was offered an earlier appointment in Port Charlotte but I am unable to travel there which was why I chose the Punta Gorda offices. I find this type of patient care to be unacceptable and I shall find a new eye specialist. read more

One star is much to good a rating Quigley Eye in Punta Gorda FL! These people were my eye doctors for many years. At a regular check up I was advised I had cataracts that should be removed, I said to them to do it. While scheduling to have it done, I was told for an extra $4,900.00 out of my pocket, they can put lenses in so I'd never need any glasses ever again. Like an idiot I agreed, and I had to pay them right then, in advance for this, which is in addition to what medicare and my secondary insurance paid. After the surgery was done my vision was worse! Dr Kai agreed my vision was not good, he put in a piggy back lense. My vision is MUCH worse than it was before their two surgeries! Dr Kai said "that's the way it is, too bad". Now I can't read the menue in a resturant, I can't read my computer key baord, I can't read a TV remote control, newspapers or magazines, without glasses, I NEVER had these problems before! They won't even refund the $4,900.00 up-charge! Avoid Quigley Eye like the plague!!!!! read more

I have been going to this office for over 15 years as a patient of Dr Billings. Since selling to Quigley the level of customer service and individual care has drastically changed. You can no longer call the office directly. The promise of return phone calls are never kept. Even though my insurance would pay at an office like Eyeglass World, I've always remained loyal to Dr Billings with the mind set of supporting small business. This place is garbage, they call you 30 minutes before your appointment to tell you you can't be seen that day. But then they will text and call you 10 times within the week before the appointment to make sure you'll be there, but they cancel on you 30 minutes prior to when you're supposed to be there. Avoid this place like the plague. No level of professionalism at all. Then they can't reschedule you until a month and a half later. If you want timely care, go anywhere else. read more

So my sister needs cataract surgery and a separate eye surgery on her left eye. So essentially 3 surgeries. Dr Lewis from Quigley in punta gorda is her doctor. So far in 2 months we have scheduled 2 times. Today after taking her drops 2 times today before surgery they call her at 4 pm and tell her that they had to cancel due to an emergency. My sister is losing her sight daily. She cannot see out of her right eye anymore. Isn't that an emergency. Get your act together Quigley!!!!! You have people out here who depend on you and are scheduled and waiting for their surgery. Calling last minute is unacceptable. Now she's scheduled for July 6th. Hello!!!! 2 more weeks of no sight.
