The team, led by stylist Katie and shop manager Matt come across as a big family. Each of the stylists Katie, Paige, Stacey & Ashley have their own distinct look unlike many other hairdressers. If we have to use stereotypes... goth, rockabilly, pinup... the team covers the spectrum each in their own unique manner. Plus they are damn good at what they do. Katie is dedicated to providing and using quality, lasting products. No sulfates and yucky stuff in the shampoo and conditioners here. They can also cater to vegans across the board (with the exception of a couple of vibrant hair colours). I went on a Saturday afternoon, and they were going full tilt with at least four stylists occupied, and people busy everywhere. I went for a wax, and had to wait 15 minutes past my appointed time, it would have been good to be notified in advance that they were running late. The therapist was cheerful, and went about her business professionally. I was impressed with the no-nonsense approach that saw the whole thing over and done with in under 15 minutes, and with far less pain than I have experienced in the past. So at the end of the day, I was in and out and in less time (including the 15 minute wait) than I would have been if I had of went to my regular salon. The waxing room is private, and is not an afterthought dog box like other salons tend to be. The table is positioned well in the centre of the room, with easy access for the therapist from every direction. It is nicely decorated, so clearly this is a central part of their business. She takes the time to address your current hair concerns, offers tips to suit your face frame, and ask all the right questions, so rest assured when I tell ya, you can leave your tresses to Lucette, as she will take care of you and have you step out looking like a diva!! I was very impressed with her work, but mostly with her dedication and time she spent on ensuring I looked my best. No rush work, no glancing at the clock, no taking calls (I've experienced this in other salons)...just perfect one on one time. Am so going back to her, and look forward to my next appointment with her. This time, I feel like a burst of colour for my tresses. He has a large range of organic hair and beauty products for purchase. Prices are as to be expected for an organic hair salon, but hey, you pay for what you get. I was delighted to find Bruce who was working in Norwood and is fresh from the London Toni and Guy . I am very happy in giving Bruce the trust of my hair and I am very happy with the results. I specified very roughly the style I wanted as I have very short hair and Bruce did the rest. I was also able to observe the other hair cuts Bruce had done and they suited the men and women whose hair he had cut. I was there for 2 hours having a colour done with the hair cut and the colour is perfect and I let the expert choose the shade. The salon is very comparable to the Sydney standard and I will return.

However, the main reason I come here is Tony, the owner and senior stylist. He was the person I trusted to cut off all my 80's long permed hair and fashion it into a 90's sleek bob. As well as being a superb cutter, he is also on the very cutting edge of fashion and will transform your hair accordingly if you just let him go. I love the fact that I don't have to say too much but he seems to know just what to do. This may be because I have been coming for so long but I think it is just one of the things he does well naturally. He knows what style suits what face shape and importantly, lifestyle: No one wants a haircut that is too hard to keep up. Part of the service is that Tony will make sure that you know how to manage a new look before you leave the salon. He as even put the dryer in my hand before an got me to do it just to make sure. Crystal, who also works here is an expert in colour. Not as suave and personable as Tony but a genius with all things colour. Being a newcomer to colour myself, she has helped me understand this technical area and does a great job with the foils I have occasionally. Service is great here. Whenever you are waitng you get offered refreshments with choices such as cappuccino, latte and even champagne. When you pay the bill, Tony (being of Italian descent and a smooth operator) will kiss both cheeks and hand you a chocolate as you float out of the door with your new do.
