Instructors and the owner are very polite. Free comfortable parking area Not very crowded classes is another plus. Most importantly, I tried almost every kind of yoga classes (one Pilates class too), and realized that these are my favorites, because they feel like classic, standard yoga practices, which I personally prefer, since I'm not a huge fan of hot yoga sculpt or cardio + yoga. The intensity here was very nice for me - not easy, but not very harsh. What I loved most were the adjustments made by the instructors. My body genuinely feels better after correcting some of my poses! I especially enjoyed Geof's and Madi's classes! I do wish there were some mirrors in the studio, but it's not so critical (considering the quality of hand adjustments). Grateful for this time at your studio, wishing you continued success and prosperity!

The front desk staff were extremely helpful and kind from the moment I walked in, which made the experience feel very welcoming. I took a Yin class with Nicole and her voice was so calming and soothing, it made the class incredibly relaxing. I booked it through ClassPass and did not regret it at all. I would definitely recommend both the studio and Nicole's Yin class

I took advantage of the welcome week promotion in the South Bay location and throughly enjoyed it. 26 & 2, and Hot Power Fusion Lizzy - Incredible instructor, SO patient and kind, walked me through all the movements with clear instructions and encouragement. While 26 & 2 was probably not the best first ever yoga class to take, Lizzy set clear expectations and took care of me and the class Power Erica - Great instructor, I could listen to her talk all day! She narrates the class with intentional and positive encouragement and I appreciate her music selection that stays in tune with the movements All in all, it was such a great experience! I left each class drenched in sweat but exhausted AND revitalized.

I sat with this review for sometimes now but I think it's important to write it for people who look…read morelike me. First I want to talk about my positive experiences and interactions. I love Grace, her presence and energy as an instructor is unmatched. Gabby P, Rachel M and Larissa classes were amazing. I absolutely enjoyed them. I did many classes with different instructors the ones named above were the ones that made me feel comfortable in their classes. The rest I would absolutely not recommend them if you look like me but I am not going to single them out. The front desk, Madi (I adore her) and Stephanie were extremely nice and supportive. I had an incident there and they were very helpful and I am very grateful for that. Now, I do not think this space is made for minorities who look like me. It is in a very convenient location to my house so I ignored a lot of things and focus on my practice. At some point it was not easy to ignore the micro aggressions from some people at the front desk and others customers. The vibe was if you look like me, they all look at you like you do not belong. People avoid seating next me (which I enjoyed) but at some point it was ridiculous because I would watch them pack every other corner of the room before there is no other choice than next me to and some would sight heavily before seating. In many occasions, I watched people walk back to make sure they secured their lockers as I walked in the restrooms. Ridiculous! Mind you, I would leave my stuffs in the open bench like many others but some people would be afraid of me stealing their things ! This was not the place to build a community as I hoped for, but it does make sense with the overall experience in Playa Vista. They do not want black people around! I don't blame the owners for the attitude of their customers but I think there should be communication to let people know that the space is inclusive of everyone regardless of their race! Some of the front desk people need to be checked, very mean girl attitude for a yoga space. Anyway I hated that I had to stop going because I wanted to keep practicing Yoga but I knew that environment was not healthy for me and that go against the principles of yoga. I hope things will improve! One other thing, I was charged after I asked for my account to be frozen. After the three they automatically charged me, I asked to cancel my membership, they charged me the following month ignoring my previous message. I was only reimbursed for one month. I didn't want to bother myself with the back and forth! Hope this helps!

Summary: Over a year at Sweat Yoga - and somehow, still beyond words. Joyful. Freeing. Alive…read more The Vibe: This place held me. In the middle of a full life transition - from Chicago to California - Sweat became my constant. A space to sweat, dance, move, breathe...to shed what no longer serves and quietly find a new direction. It's not one-note. Each teacher carries their own frequency, their own rhythm. The invitation is simple: Explore - try them all. Notice what opens you, what meets you, what moves you. And somewhere in that...you start meeting yourself. The Space: The yoga room is intentionally dark, with no mirrors. No performance. No distraction. It pulls you out of your head and drops you straight into your body...where the real practice begins. The Class: The Flow class format is genius. * The 1st flow begins simply: Light stretching, a warm-up flow. Repeated to connect breath, timing, & awareness. Then it deepens. * The 2nd flow drops you lower, slower, closer to the ground. The room softens, and something internal starts to open. * The 3rd flow expands. Fully guided on both sides, then picked up in pace...and you're off on your own. Music up. Lights down. Unleashed. Follow the sequence...or don't. Let breath lead. Let instinct take over. From there: Core work, long holds, deep stretches...and a full surrender into savasana with a cold eucalyptus towel waiting at the top of your mat. The Teachers: Not just teaching poses...they beautifully hold space for who you're becoming. Each teacher brings something distinct, while honoring the same soulful container. * Some classes are electric: Packed rooms, dance music, energy that lifts you. * Some are playful and light: Connection, laughter, ease. * Others are grounding: Slowing time, pulling you fully into presence. * And some feel sacred: Ritualistic, spacious, deeply calming. There are teachers who remember your name. And others who hold space so honestly that everything you're carrying feels welcome. The Bottom Line: There hasn't been a single class I've taken here where I didn't leave feeling better than when I arrived. #Truth. Sweat is a place for healing, for movement, for release, for connection, for play...a place where you can lose yourself and find yourself again. Practical Notes: Free street parking and a paid lot on site. Men's and women's locker rooms with showers. Bathroom amenities, lockers with locks, mat and towel rentals available. * Bring a sweat towel (You will sweat in the infrared sauna yoga room!) Plus: Breathwork (1st Friday of every month), chisel, half flow/half yin, pilates, and yin classes - ALL exceptional!
