Arrived…read morearound 1:15 pm, sign on door says he closes for a lunch hour@11:30, but shop is still closed with several people waiting in cars. Finally Will pulls in, first guy in line greets him but Will starts mumbling something about everybody coming on same day, so far I am not feeling very welcome as one should when entering any business. If it was a service for myself, I would've been done at this point. Inside place is filthy, hair still on floor from before his lunch hour, all kinds of political propaganda, weapons such as bow and arrows easily accessible, it just had a really oppressive, negative vibe. Topper, we were second in line, but some guy just jumped in the chair after first guy was done, would've appreciated Will to at least do the old, "hey weren't you guys next," or something like that. This guy just didn't seem to care about anything except cash payment only, which isn't listed anywhere on Google or in the shop, I had to run to ATM while son was getting hair cut for payment. He was busy because there's no competition in area, any other scenario, this guy would go out of business. BTW, cut wasn't all that great either, not going back there ever!

I really wasn't going to post, cuz I like to keep things local, but I'm so embarrassed I need to…read morevent. I wanted full bangs, cut from closer to the crown, that came just to my brows (as in the 2 photos). The first appt., I came home with super straight, flat cut, bangs, and the sides were wavy, so basically, i had a mullet. The bang length was OK, but they needed some "dusting" or whatever the current name is, from underneath to give them some lift. I called and came in 2 days l8r for a 2nd try. I'm pretty sure I made myself clear that they just needed a little lift. So, I came in, got settled, heard "snip, snip", looked down and said "that's a LOT of hair". I said it was OK and left. The scarring on my forehead shows so badly from the precancer treatment I'd just had, that I avoided going out the next week. (The photo above, remember, is with 3 wks growth.) I am not sure what happened here but, I gave it MY best shot. I even brought dark chocolate. Oh, well, the #StylistSearch continues.

I left with one of the worst haircuts I've ever had: the back was uneven, the front framing was…read morecompletely mismatched (one side looked like a major piece was gone while the other side had a slight blend), and the color was nowhere near what I asked for. I requested a chocolate brown and walked out with a caramel shade I never wanted. When I raised these concerns, the stylist admitted she made mistakes but told me the only option was to come back so they could attempt to fix it. I explained I didn't feel comfortable having anyone there touch my hair again after the experience I had. My stylist then played telephone between the owner and I sending me messages from the owner which is when I requested to speak with her directly. The owner doubled down and dismissed my concerns, saying that the uneven cut was because I wasn't standing straight, that the color difference was just due to lighting, and that the work I received was good. They made it clear that a refund would not be given because I had brought the issue up directly with the stylist and declined to come back for a correction. The owner claimed that she'd be posting all communication between us as a means to try to get me to not post this, however I think people need to know what they can expect and it shows their character perfectly. I found the owner to come off as rude and disrespectful when confronted with a complaint. The reality is I left with a choppy, uneven haircut and the wrong color, and instead of taking accountability, the management made excuses and refused to refund me. I had to go elsewhere and pay again to fix their mistakes. If you're considering this salon, I strongly suggest going somewhere that values clients, delivers the service requested, and takes responsibility when things go wrong.

The barber (i think his name was Rufus, apologies if i got it wrong) was a nice guy and did a great job. I went from looking like a cave man to looking 5 years younger, and the price was very affordable. Apparently he's going to do some discounts for needy families as it's Christmas time.
