Pet lovers rejoice!!! My cat, Rikki, is not very open to other people or other cats, but this was SUCH a wonderful experience!! He was so well taken care of and pampered for the 6 days he was there (2 of those days being Christmas Eve and Christmas!) There is a texting service as well, so I was able to check in on Rikki daily :) I was so nervous leaving my kitty in the care of someone else when he's so particular in his eating habits and way he takes his medicines, but the kind and caring nature of the staff allowed them to exceed all of Rikki's high standards (and mine too ha!) I'd happily bring Rikki back next time I'm away, I can't say enough amazing things about the people who work there and the way my cat was cared for!! I was told his favorite part of his stay was the time he spent in the playroom, but his 5 level windowed cat condo was pretty amazing too. He was able to watch all the birds from a cozy cat cube! ps- I loved getting the day by day notes/ break down of Rikki's stay when I came to pick him up. I brought my dog to The Farm for grooming with specific instructions to shape but not change his classic Poodle style ... As you imagine from the attached pictures, I was DEVASTATED to find that over 12" and 6 years of growth and fullness were shaved from areas are NEVER shaved in ANY Poodle style. Instead of the classic Poodle topknot that he had , there were strange ponytails hanging on either side covering raw and bleeding areas that had been shaved. His topknot is RUINED, and it will take 5+ years, and most likely not in his lifetime, to grow into the style that he had. Instead of an apology, the groomer told Cogi that this COMMON POODLE CUT was TOO DIFFICULT for any the groomers at The The Farm. Any groomer in any reputable salon or grooming academy will tell you that Miko's style is VERY EASY ... Only the body is shaved and the rest is left alone ... no scissoring or shaping at all. A simple 1 minute google search for "classic Poodle cut" convinced Cogi that the groomer was not being truthful & she had tried to cover her mistakes. Cogi was very kind and apologetic, but the damage is done ... It will take 5+ years to grow into the style that he when I brought him in that morning, and he can never be shown again. FIRST TIME BOARDER with INTROVERTED CAT 5/5 First time boarding my cat, so I wanted to pick the right place. I've always had a family member or friend watch my cat while I'm gone. The Farm was just a little bit more expensive than the other place I found for spring break and absolutely worth it. Staff is exceptional. Lots of natural light in the cat condo, several levels to it. My cat is also pretty shy, and from their end of stay recap I was pleased that they spent time with her but didn't push her too much. We are having company this weekend and needed to get our Corgi, Llewy Lowrider, a bath and trim. Since today is my birthday we decided to go out for lunch in Franklin (from Murfreesboro) and drop Llewy off for his spa day beforehand. We were over half way there when we got a call that they had a pipe burst and could not give baths, but we could reschedule. When we explained our situation Chastity told us they would be happy to watch Llewy while we went out to lunch and he could have a play day on them for the inconvenience. They also trimmed his nails. They treated our boy like he was their own and couldn't have been nicer to us. This is the kind of exemplary customer service that is lacking today and I will not hesitate to recommend The Farm every chance I get. We have boarded all of our fur babies at The Farm almost since it opened. It is the only kennel we will use, as they have always taken incredible care of our dogs. Our current dog, Luca, cannot wait to get there and when we pick him up, he's happy, clean, not stressed at all. We can leave on vacation and know he's in excellent hands and we can leave, worry free. We also love getting picture updates every couple of days while we're gone. We had used other kennels in the area prior to discovering The Farm and didn't have very good experiences. When tornadoes rolled through the area several years ago, they kept me updated as to what they were doing to protect our dogs, moving them to different areas of the facility to keep them safe. The staff stayed right there with them and that was so comforting, as we were 5 states away. They are the BEST! read more

I wanted to update my review of The Farm at Natchez Trace because they deserve an update and a "bump" back to the top of my review lists. The Farm is still the premiere place to both board and send your dog (because I don't own cats I will not comment on their Cat-erie, but they do have one for you cat lovers who need to board) in the Nashville and surrounding suburbs areas. The location of The Farm in my review below needs a little updating too, because I now know much more clearly where they are located. If you take Highway 100 to the southwest and pass Loveless Cafe about 6 miles later you will come to the intersection of 100 and Hwy. 96. Take the left on Hwy 96, and The Farm will be on your right about a mile or two down Hwy. 96 from the intersection of 96 and 100. The front of house, back of house, and daycare staff are all excellent. I would continue to recommend that first time users take the tour of the facility that they offer and let them demonstrate to you how they communicate between shifts (white boards outside every dog's room) and how they care for your dog(s). I truly think that you will be inspired by how awesome the facility and the care are. The sheer size of the play area is a dream for large and small breed dogs alike, but it is especially great for those of you (like me) with large breed sporting dogs that really need room to run. The Farm provides a great place to do so. The single dog price for daycare is on par with the places you will find in town, and like about 75% of the other daycares in Nashville The Farm does not provide a second dog discount. I would knock them a star for this, but it seems to be the trend in Nashville to not provide the multi-dog discount (which is a shame because it was the norm in Cincinnati to always have a discount for more than one dog). I strongly recommend that you drive - even if it is 30 minutes out of the way - out to The Farm to, at a minimum, board your dog every time you go out of town. I'm not saying you have to drive that far out of your way for daily daycare... but you really should for boarding. read more

I have an amazing fur-baby. What is that, you ask? It's my sweet little girl pug, Banjo, whom I adore like a child. Sometimes my lil' fur-baby cannot travel with my husband and me, and I don't always like to inconvenience my friends (even though they all love Banj' and fight over her). There was one time in particular that I knew we had to board her. She had broken her foot in four places as a puppy. Yes, four. My husband and I had a work trip and we were going to be out of town for a week. We searched tirelessly for a reasonably priced Pet Resort to watch her, but because of her bum foot, no one would take her. So...we gave in, and went to check out the "expensive place." Any boy am I glad we did - so was Banjo! I forgot to mention, this trip was...the next day! So we were in a bind! The Farm is literally just that - an old Farm hidden off of 96 in Franklin! It's gorgeous, and so peaceful upon arrival. The main house is so nice - when you walk in, it's almost as if you're entering a real, human hotel - with a gift shop and everything. ;) The staff was very welcoming, and all wanted a chance to hold our crippled lil' girl. They passed her around as we toured the incredible facility. The rooms are plenty big for the dogs, you can bring your own toys and treats, but they can provide some as well, packages include nature walks (which she couldn't do for obvious reasons), creek play, cuddles, etc. They also track EVERYTHING they do with your pup outside of their room on a white board. It's all very impressive, and quite meticulous. The prices begin at $58 a night (for 1 dog, and a 20% discount if you bring 2, etc.). You can also do add on's like extra cuddles, night time brushing, extra treats, etc. We got Banjo extra cuddles because she couldn't do the walks, or creek play. This may seem steep compared to other Pet Resorts, but it is well worth it. Best place in town to board a cat, no contest. We had to leave town before we had found a home for a little stray cat, and The Farm seemed to be the best option for us. Though it's out past Loveless Cafe and not exactly cheap, we wanted to be sure our cat would be comfy while we were out of town. It was ABSOLUTELY worth it. Their website doesn't do it justice, the cat house is bordered with spacious multi-level "cat condos" with windows looking outside and into the cat house main room. We just got the standard package for little Frank, which included unlimited dry food, wet food 3x a day, a treat at the end of the day, and petting and exercise time. Staff was fantastic and we felt like we were leaving him in good hands. They sent us a collage of photos of Frank playing halfway through his time there, and when we went to pick him up, he didn't want to leave! I would recommend this place to anyone looking to board a cat, and I'm sure based on the facilities that it is equally great for a dog. read more

Was excited to have found this place and see all the wonderful reviews. The group activity, nature walks, cuddles, storybook time and goodnight biscuits - what more could a loving pet parent ask for!! When making inquiry on time spent on each activity, was told 15-20 mins and 10-15 for potty breaks, that leaves HOURS alone in a kennel. Even at the VIP Butterfly level, I was quoted just 135-170 mins a day of activity/interaction/potty breaks; at max, just 12% out of the kennel in a 24 hour period. Even less for the lower packages. Not sure why they don't allow the pups to romp a couple of hours during play group - but was quoted needing to join their woof club to take advantage of true play time. Sadly disappointed because it looks awesome. Just wondering if pet parents know their beloved will be kenneled the majority of time. Certainly not disparaging their care as I have no experience, but website somewhat misleads pet enrichment opportunity. read more

I cannot say enough about how great this Daycare/Playtime business is. The farm has everything from exceptional grooming ( the best ever) to boarding, training, food, treats, shampoos anything you might need for your pet. I have been bringing my very active Wire Fox Terrier to the Woof Club (now twice a week) to play with other dogs for two years now. I just mention the name to him and he goes to the door (he's ready) It's 9 hours of play with handlers and other dogs and he always has a blast. They give a report card to sum up their day and who they liked to play with, and post pictures of them playing on FB every day. Unfortunately I cannot recommend The Farm. We booked and paid for a 6 week class. The entire class was cancelled one week due to half of the class getting kennel cough, my pup being one of them. The vet gave us strict orders to stay home and away from other dogs and dog owners for at least two weeks due to how contagious it was. I called and emailed The Farm several times to see about rescheduling, making up the missed classes or even a partial refund of the $350 I spent, since it was out of our control. They never returned my calls or emails but sent a mass email suggesting we come watch another class to make up for the one class they cancelled. No compromise, no effort to work with our situation. I have since learned from various sources including a vet they are known for not cleaning the facility properly and kennel cough seems to be frequently happening there. This has been a very disappointing experience and have been hesitant to attempt other classes in other facilities because of this experience. read more

They take great care of your animals (2 large dogs & a cat) and even send you pictures of what your pets are doing. Our older dog Ace is diabetic and blind. The people at The Farm are incredible and I wouldn't leave Ace anywhere else! They really care about Ace loving on him and giving him his insulin morning and evening after he eats. If he's afraid at the sound of thunder during the night, they assure him and put a thunder shirt on him. Especially the night of the tornadoes on March 3rd. My cat loves boarding at the Cat Cottage at the Farm at Natchez Trace, and I feel great leaving him in their care when I leave town. They are so attentive and sweet to him so I know he is getting lots of TLC. The facilities are always spotlessly clean and he loves the 5 level cat condos which all have great views to the outside. Our furbaby trots in to The Farm at Natchez Trace for boarding with her tail up and wagging. Each staff member greets her by name ~ they really get to know & love the pets in their care. Meds are administered carefully, they keep a chart of notes from every walk (pee & poops are notated), chart whether your pet has eaten & how much, when they administered any necessary medications, how your dog seems (sad, tired, happy), AND they take pictures of your baby and send you postcards with adorable captions. OH, and Jo's retail store has the best selection of wonderful, quality pet products I have ever seen! She will also special order any product you are interested in that they don't carry yet. Every employee I have ever met exceeded my expectation of service ~ going above and beyond seems to be their mantra! Special shouts of appreciation to Sandra (Reservations), Vickie (Pet Concierge), Cogie (Guest Services), JO (Retail) and all the fantastic front desk staff (Melissa, Jessica, Amy, Heather, Paige, etc) AND all the amazing dudes raising $ for animal rescue during Movember (check out their mustaches!). I have no idea why it has taken me so long to leave this place a review. I no longer live in Nashville, but when I did during my senior year of college I got a goldendoodle puppy, Ellie. She's my baby and I, like any pet owner, am super protective of her. We had a family trip planned for fall break and I knew I would have to board her, which was very stressful with her being only 4 months old. We took a tour of The Farm and instantly knew it was the place, especially with the amazing service we received from Vicki on our tour! There was traffic and we arrived after they closed to visitors, but Vicki stayed to give us a very thorough, welcoming tour. The facility and grounds are beautiful, there is so much (very secure!) space for the dogs to run and play, and the boarding areas are super clean and spacious. It became clear very quickly that the employees take the time to get to know each and every dog and all their little quirks. They care about them so much! Dropping Ellie off the first time was not easy, but everyone there went out of their way to calm my nerves and make it easier. It was clear they had read the forms I had filled out and taken note of what I cared about. I had been particularly worried because Ellie can be a bit of a wild child and an escape artist, and when I mentioned it to the desk when dropping her off, the woman just said "Don't you worry, we know, we'll take good care of her." It was very clear they knew my concerns and cared about them. While I was gone I called a few times to get updates on Ellie and Vicki seemed to know everything about her, from how much she had eaten each day to who she enjoyed playing with the most. I also received ADORABLE photo collages of her multiple days during my trip. She looked so so happy. My friend picked her up and said she did not want to leave. I ended up boarding Ellie here two more times during the year we were in Nashville, and each time the experience was as spectacular as the first. The last time was particularly scary for me, as right after I dropped her off and went to the airport I discovered there were going to be tornado watches and warnings for the area all night and into the next day. My dad called The Farm knowing how worried I was about Ellie and they walked him through their procedure, assuring him they knew exactly what to do in cases of severe weather and explaining how well the facility was built. I really appreciated the information and it made me feel so much better. Overall I would say this is by far the best boarding experience Ellie will probably ever have, and I'm really sad we don't live in Nashville anymore. Sure other boarding facilities may be good, but our babies deserve the best and The Farm delivers that and more! Please please please do you and your pet a favor and board them here. read more

I toured many different facilities to board my cat before choosing the farm. This is by far the absolute best place to board your cat in the Nashville area! Worth the 45 minute drive. Spacious condo - plenty of room to jump around and all of them have outdoor views. Cat condos are completely separate from the dog area which I really appreciated. They also play Disney movies all day for them! Winnie had play and cuddle time every day and I even received some pictures of him during his stay. Super easy process and I got a full report of how well he did when I came to pick him up. I can tell he really enjoyed his stay and we will be back!! read more
