Our 80 lbs. Pyrenees mix recently boarded for a stay over the 4th of July holiday. He has very high anxiety and the staff was very attentive to his needs and very compassionate!!!! I had an AWFULLLLLLLL experience with them a few years ago! Before calling them, I was firmly told NOT to use them per a client with 2 beautiful large full breeds that experienced abuse to their dogs after picking up and having their dogs delivered home. Because my needs were last minute and they catered to my needs, I keep my appointment for boarding for 4 days that week. When I called on the first day, I learned they were not giving my dog her meds, and they were very impatient with me to get it right. My dog was only two...SIMPLE. Upon her delivery, she had NO voice and raw skin on both her front elbows. I immediately called and got an AWFUL response. They told me they had no idea about either issue, and she had to be placed under the front desk in the office because the kennel was full when she got there. I paid almost $500 for that experience. I had to spend another $400 for her to be checked out at my personal vet. I also had to pay for shots prior to the visit which was over $200. I have spent YEARS being sick about this. My dog passed away less than two months. Her voice never fully recovered and neither did her wounds grow back hair. She lived to be 23 and 3 months old. My clients that warned me told me of very similar issues. read more

I boarded my two dogs here the summer of 2021. When I picked them up, my chihuahua was fine but something was wrong with my Cavapoo. He was whimpering and crying and burying his head into my legs. I asked what was wrong and the two girls that brought him two me shook their heads and said nothing was wrong. I took him home and realized he was both limping and coughing. I took him to our vet. He had an upper respiratory infection and three herniated disks in his back. Something very bad had happened to my dog at the hands of these people. I emailed and called Greymont multiple times. No one called me back. No one emailed me back. No one ever responded. Never-mind the now $800 in X-ray and vet bills I've paid, I never even got an explanation or an apology. My dog continues to have back problems and he is only two years old. I would never let a loved family dog set foot in this place. It disgusts me that I never heard from them. My poor dog now lives with the damage they inflicted on him. Shame on this horrible company. read more

Very disappointed in our experience. We took our 11 month old puppy there for day care in December and came home that evening with a cough. Turned out to be kennel cough & within 2 days became pneumonia. Had to take him to the pet ER in the middle of the night on Christmas Eve. He was on oxygen & stayed 2 days there. We are fortunate he made a full recovery after a few weeks of antibiotics and we had the money for this which came to $1,700.00 we called Greymont to let them know he got Kennel cough there and they said yes, we had another dog with it! Also to let them know how ours is doing. They never called us to follow up. Also seems if they already had a case, might want to alert their customers. This was our second time taking our two golden retrieves and typically when we would go to a groomer they would freeze and refuse to even go inside! We love Greymont kennel. They always take great care of our dog. We have a 6 year old Jack Russell and this is the only place I board him when we travel. I love when they send us cute photos of him playing in the yard! It's like sending my dog to summer camp. The prices are reasonable, the communication is great, the facility is clean, modern and safe with tons of amenities. I love that they give them an "exit bath" so he comes home nice and clean and fluffy. One time I was running late to pick up my dog and they stayed a few minutes past closing so I could pick him up. I can't say enough great things about Greymont. All I have to do is whisper the word Greymont to my 1.5 year old black Lab, Cracker Jackie. She starts barking, jumping and running in circles urging me to open the garage door so she can load up and head to "School" to see Octavio, Becky and her K9 Buddies. I have nothing but high praises for Greymont! My sweet dog Crosby attends day school two to three days a week for about three hours each visit. Since he has been going, his behavior has changed for the better. I adopted Crosby when he was 11 months old and his training at the time was as much as absent. He was, and is, a sweet, loving boy and loves other dogs which was a blessing to me, but not accustomed to listening. Crosby has been in my life now almost a year and I might can take a little credit for his improvement and of course, his growing up gas helped. But... I know in my head and heart that it's mostly due to the staff at Greymont. He listens better, and he has better manners with people and dogs. My dogs stayed for 2 days and 2 nights.Yesterday I emailed the front desk because I picked the dogs and they were vomiting....wouldn't eat and sick...they are severely dehydrated and at the animal hospital. I emailed and asked what type of food, how much, how much water etc ....no response! Front desk and owner have emails from yesterday. The owner can't respond to an email from yesterday or today while my dogs are on ivs and in a vet's care. I have boarded my dogs many times at other places...From Greymont, no courtesy or call back or concern. Ignore customer questions and don't return emails??? Dogs still are at the vet. Imagine both your dogs being severely dehydrated at a vet and you can't get a call or email back about food,care, etc..... read more

Greymont is probably out of the way for anyone in the Franklin/Brentwood/Nashville area. They offer a paid pick-up and drop-off service, but it's not an, "I want you to pick up Fido at 10am," option, it's a, "We'll be there around 3-4pm to get your dog," service (think cable company and not taxi). They do require a $15 departure bath (more on that later). When I toured the premises, they showed me everything, which is nice. There are no secrets about their facilities if given the tour I got. Regardless of their inconvenient location and "pick-up service", I've used them twice. I even opted for the pick-up service once, but found the hours vs. fee not worth it. I ended up having to send the dog a day early, which means another day of kennel fees plus the pick-up fee. The drive out to Fairview is about 40-45 minutes for me. The first time I sent only 1 dog, but forwarded both dog's records (for ease in the future). They did accept vet records by email, but they will confirm with your vet. I buy and administer Bordatella at home ($5 vs. vet+vaccine+trip) and just put the vaccine label on their shot record. The guy who picked up the dog called about 5 minutes out, which was nice. I got day school added a few times for exercise (I prefer one-on-one play, but it's their kennel so it's their options). No apparent problems; happy dog upon return. I even recommended them to a few friends. The second time, months later, I sent both dogs (separate kennels). About 3 days before the reservation I got a message that the vaccines weren't okay. I called and the manager explained that they do not accept owner-administered vaccines. When I reminded him that 1 dog had already stayed months ago on those records, he said, "We made a mistake." Their kennel-their rules, so I had to get a vet appointment for a vaccines. Not a deal breaker, but it would have been nice to have known that the first time, not 3 days before boarding during a busy time with no other options. After paying $636 for the week, $30 of which was for the mandatory departure baths, I got the dogs home to find large chunks of dried feces on the tail, around the anus, and on the rear legs of 1 dog. It was matted and appeared to be at least a day old, if not more (I had to soak some of the chunks in water just to get them to come out). Since I was there to pick up shortly after they opened, I checked my receipt to see if they had charged for the bath. Sure enough, there's a $15 bath fee on both dogs. I called and was told that, "Sometimes that happens," but they'd look into it. I got a call back about 4 minutes later assuring me that both dogs received a bath. At this point, I'm sniffing both dogs (I paid $636 and I have to sniff my dogs??). One smells like dog shampoo and 1, the dog with the surprise on the rear, smells like dog. I assure them that 1 dog didn't get a bath. I'm offered a $15 credit. Enter the manager (he of, "We made a mistake," lore). The manager says he believes me, but wishes I would have brought the dog back for a bath. Remember when I said Greymont Kennel isn't convenient? Honestly, if you were asked to drive 40-45 minutes back out to Fairview to show someone dried/crusted dog feces, would you do it? I'd also decided that maybe I should clean up the dog given that it's an inside pet and there's just something about a dog with feces on it that makes me not want to let it roam about inside the house. He asks, "What can I do?". I really think it shows great business sense to offer remedies first. If you want to keep business (and not make me type what Yelp is calling a "pretty epic" review), then give what you think are fair remedies, then confirm that the customer is happy. If not, see what the customer wants. If they ask for more than their business is worth, then both sides realize a business relationship is over. I ask for a $15 bath refund since 1 dog didn't get the bath. So, with the admission of 2 mistakes (vaccine and bath), Greymont Kennel gives a $15 refund. Was I happy I got 15 off? No. I really got $0 off since 1 dog didn't get the bath, and I had to call, get called back, explain twice, listen to the I believe you, but wish you would have shown me comments, and negotiate my own remedy. Will I use Greymont again? Certainly they've damaged my confidence in them to board my dogs. It's not likely I'll recommend them again, and will likely discuss my new experience with those friends I have recommended or who ask. This area has lots of kennels closer, some of which may accept the owner-administered vaccines (or be reasonable on notice that they don't), which don't require a $15 bath and not give it, and which really want my $636. Why 3 stars, you ask? Because Yelp doesn't allow 2.5 out of 5. read more

My dog LOVES Greymont!! I took him them for dayschool and my dog would come home completely wiped out from playing all day which is so much better than being at home by himself while I am at work! Also just boarded him there for a few days and couldn't have asked for a better first boarding experience! Someone commented on how clean this place is... and it's true!! And of course their staff is amazing- so nice and helpful!! I love when I walk in with my dog and everyone is so happy to see him and calls him by name right away (unlike some other kennels that did not even pet/acknowledge my dog when I first took him in...) I would recommend this place over several other boarding and doggie daycare places in the Nashville area! It's really not that far from Bellevue (15 minutes) and about 1 mile off of 40- perfect if you're traveling west on 40!! read more
