We love coming here each year & will return again next winter to see what is new. My husband loves the candles, some of which are made in house. Huck and Paddle completely breaks the mold. The whole shop is curated (and I use that word intentionally) from a very unique perspective. It is filled with interesting objects, large and small. Inevitably, one of these objects will strike your fancy and demand to be taken with you when you leave town. The owner is delightful, and is committed to her aesthetic. We got to discussing some items I thought would make sense in her store, and she immediately got online to see what I was talking about. Oh, and she has something for everyone. Late last night I went to that brands e-commerce shop....Low and behold my shirt which I paid $695 in the store (regular price on vendor website was $495 and is now on sale for $346.50.) If I hadn't have worn it already I would have returned it and bought it directly from the vendor. I am more curious why it was marked up a whole $200 more than the MSRP?? They had a bunch of my favorite brands: Paige, Rails and Amanda Uprichard to name a few. I also loved their accessories! There was a lovely blonde saleswoman who was fun to chat with on the first time I visited the store. The next time I went back they were crowded so no one helped me, but I was perfectly content browsing. There were a bunch of things I would have loved to try on, but unfortunately I had twisted my knees skiing and the thought of trying clothes on with hurt knees just seemed like too much effort. One carries super expensive designer clothes- Prada, Dolce & Gabana, etc. The Elle Rose next door is more in my price range and carries all of my favorite designers- Theory, Tahari, Nanette Lepore. I could have dropped lots of cash in this store today because they had some really adorable clothes, jewelry, purses, belts, etc. However, then I remembered my New Years Resolution to save more money and spent my time browsing and talking with the super friendly sales associates instead.
