Huck and Paddle completely breaks the mold. The whole shop is curated (and I use that word intentionally) from a very unique perspective. It is filled with interesting objects, large and small. Inevitably, one of these objects will strike your fancy and demand to be taken with you when you leave town. The owner is delightful, and is committed to her aesthetic. We got to discussing some items I thought would make sense in her store, and she immediately got online to see what I was talking about. Oh, and she has something for everyone. If I hadn't have worn it already I would have returned it and bought it directly from the vendor. I am more curious why it was marked up a whole $200 more than the MSRP?? They had a bunch of my favorite brands: Paige, Rails and Amanda Uprichard to name a few. I also loved their accessories! There was a lovely blonde saleswoman who was fun to chat with on the first time I visited the store. The next time I went back they were crowded so no one helped me, but I was perfectly content browsing. There were a bunch of things I would have loved to try on, but unfortunately I had twisted my knees skiing and the thought of trying clothes on with hurt knees just seemed like too much effort. One carries super expensive designer clothes- Prada, Dolce & Gabana, etc. The Elle Rose next door is more in my price range and carries all of my favorite designers- Theory, Tahari, Nanette Lepore.
