I think the fun of a thrift store is finding a smoking deal. While the options are endless and shelves are pack to the brim (a bit dusty and unorganized too)... don't expect to get a screaming deal with ease. Yes, you may find a fancy bag or pants for less than you would pay new but still expect to pay $30.00+, $40.00+ (or more) for the known gems. This store knows the expensive items. I struggle paying that much money for an item that has been donated although, if the money is going back to the community then I am a bit more understanding. (The Community Library is supported by the Gold Mine Thrift Store) Let's just say, I have no desire to visit this place again because I know I will tap into my rent/housing money because there are some amazing costume pieces for my costume box. I will want to buy them all. I exercised control once, not sure if I can do it again. read more

I have always loved the goldmine because it used to be for the benefit of the community. But I will never go back. I went to buy some boots from this overpriced "thrift" store and they don't accept Apple Pay so I had to drive home to get cash. When I got back a half hour later they doubled the price on me! Lived in this valley for over 40 years and never been treated so poorly. Save your money and buy online for the same price. read more

This was a very interesting thrift store. It was so busy on a Friday morning I felt like I was it black Friday shopping at Macy's. They had a lot of different sections ranging from clothing to ski equipment. Prices were very reasonable and it goes to a good cause to help the library. read more

Ok, I absolutely LOVE this place! I have come here to Ketchum four years in a row on vacation, and this place is ALWAYS one of my first stops! The store is well organized, and does NOT smell icky like some thrift stores. Last week when in town I found some amazing North Face boots here in my size that were BRAND NEW for a fraction of their retail price! I was stoked! This thrift store had a good selection of clothes, books, and houswares but the sheer number of brand name, used (and sometimes not so used!) snow and sport gear was the best that I have ever seen. We came here after visiting some of the shops and boutiques and there were so many similar items at a fraction of the cost. They also had a great selection of cashmere sweaters. But they're closed on Sundays and there was one more thing I wanted to get! Next time. read more

I visited here from Los Angeles and I am a thrift Queen. I was thrilled to go on Yelp to see this store in town and couldn't wait to visit. The store is ok but extremely over priced! Again I am from Los Angles and thrift 4-5 days a week for work and I know prices! The Gold Mine Consignment store across the street is ridiculously over priced as well. Asking 59 dollars for used AG jeans! Those are no more than 10 bucks at home for a much more recent style. I guess the locals buy at those prices because not much is available? read more

Based on online reviews i expected the prices to be pretty expensive, however i was pleasantly surprised with the prices. Some things as per reviews were quite overpriced especially in the home decor section, but the clothes ranged from 1-12 ish dollars and the bag section is the best place in the whole store i loves the finds i got.
