I'm a wedding coordinator and I would just like to say that this building has a perfect view of the lake. The venue itself is pretty simple on the inside and outside. If you are looking to book this place for your wedding, I would say to be prepared to set (chairs and tables) everything up yourself. However, it's all worth it because you're right by White Rock Lake! I would definitely recommend this venue to future clients who are looking for something simple and who may have a lower budget!

I attended a wedding at this venue and it was beautiful! The landscape outside is relaxing to look at and great for pictures. The audio and lights inside were great for the inside ceremony (it unexpectedly rained) and for the dancing! I also appreciated that there was a ramp inside so that the whole building is wheelchair accessible! There were tables inside for at least 100 people. They probably could have fit 50 more if there wasn't a dance floor.

Rebecca the hostess was awesome and introducing us to everything and making sure we got set up for our night. The food and drinks were excellent! Highly recommend making a reservation for a table! It's $15 a person for 90 minutes...we had 11 people and time flew, but it was the perfect amount of game play time for all of us! The entire vibe of this place was so cool! We were amazed at how much space there is. The back room got pretty tight when we first arrived since there was a group of 12 there already....they had taken over the tall tables in the middle and the couch. We slowly spread out and then their time was up about half way through ours so it wasn't as cramped. But it's still such an awesome set up we couldn't stop talking about it the next day!

Everyone is friendly, welcoming, and just genuinely great people to be around. What really stood out was when we celebrated my mom's birthday there. They wrote a special note for her, and almost every employee took the time to wish her a happy birthday. She felt so loved and had the best time -- it meant more than they probably realize. If you're looking for a fun atmosphere with great vibes, great service, and people who actually care, this is the place. We'll definitely keep coming back!

There was an art installation (similar or part of Meow) and so much fun to take a look at this vibrant and funky art. For Insta people, lots of fun photo opportunities! There is a giant steel structure/installation that has lots of space to climb in, slide through and explore. So much to see and we spent a good 60 mins of play there. Make sure to check the corners ( you're allowed to go in) so you don't miss anything. We almost missed an area. Also there is some areas to do some art as well. We didn't stop to do it but it's there. One slide can be intense, so probably not for small kiddos. Probably good for kids 7 and above (6 if they are courageous) just because of the climbing structure areas and bars width. Parents with young children should follow, they literally can land up somewhere else and some areas they do need to climb up and might need help. Definetly wear sneakers. I wore the wrong shoes and couldn't go into certain areas. Great concept and fun!

Very unwelcoming and unfriendly interactions from all hotel workers except the valet person who was upbeat and nice. The rest of the staff is robot like with no personality or care in the world. The booking website promotes this gorgeous rooftop view of downtown Dallas's skyline and I was excited for that. The rooftop was closed both days of my stay. No notice or anything. This was my main draw to selecting this property. The air conditioner is only "allowed to" go down to 68 degrees. Sick of this save the planet aka save their money cooling restrictions. Is it really worth saving 50 cents a night to not allow your guests to sleep cool? The thick bedding / sheets are not breathable and I had a hard time sleeping. Only after I asked to check out early did they miraculously "get approval" to remotely reduce the room temperature by 2 degrees. What a joke. $350/night for a Holiday Inn level staffing and guest experience. The only good thing about this place is the location. Other than that I'll save my money and stay somewhere else where I'm valued.

Everyone's welcome. There's a big mix of people standing around talking about and admiring the art. Lights fill the large room and a bar that feels like it could take you back to 1990s. While there are places that need minor upkeep (tiles on the porch need replaced, floors sanded and re-stained, some walls repainted, etc), overall the place is in pretty good shape for a place that is well over a hundred years old. The nostalgia and granduer of the place makes for a nice backdrop for events, even with its blemishes. People rent this venue from the Dallas Woman's Forum for gatherings meetings, showers, weddings, dinners etc. One thing nice about it as a venue is that it has a private parking lot that appears to be large enough for the capacity of the Mansion.
