VERY poor customer service & people skills. Lethargic employees who do not understand what hospitality means. Very unwelcoming and unfriendly interactions from all hotel workers except the valet person who was upbeat and nice. The rest of the staff is robot like with no personality or care in the world. The booking website promotes this gorgeous rooftop view of downtown Dallas's skyline and I was excited for that. The rooftop was closed both days of my stay. No notice or anything. This was my main draw to selecting this property. The air conditioner is only "allowed to" go down to 68 degrees. Sick of this save the planet aka save their money cooling restrictions. Is it really worth saving 50 cents a night to not allow your guests to sleep cool? The thick bedding / sheets are not breathable and I had a hard time sleeping. Only after I asked to check out early did they miraculously "get approval" to remotely reduce the room temperature by 2 degrees. What a joke. $350/night for a Holiday Inn level staffing and guest experience. The only good thing about this place is the location. Other than that I'll save my money and stay somewhere else where I'm valued. read more

Scenic views from the rodeo bar, great drinks , great service, yes most of my experience was just great but the only thing that disappointed me a little was their food selection on the menu... not many choices of signature food for being a Hilton... they make Colleen wings everywhere. I had a lovely stay here. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and I like that the hotel is smaller in scale. The roof has a lovely view of downtown Dallas, and the location definitely is in the bubble of historic Dallas. Really walkable, and the shared spaces are inviting. I made myself at home easily. This hotel is close by shopping centers and restaurants within walking distance. There wasn't too many people at the front desk at all times, but I always found someone to help. Stacey (the valet driver), Rosy and Logan were all wonderful! They helped with all of the questions I had and informed me about the accommodations that I had no clue about. Rooms were clean and spacious. There was also cleaning that was done when I was out for the day, with fresh towels and bedding. I tried going to the inside bar and waited for 20mins, but was never served so not sure how that part of the hotel is. But I was able to check out the rooftop before checkout, unfortunately it was hot during the time I went and I didn't get to see the nighttime views, but I still enjoyed the ambiance. It was very cute, chill and they played good music. I had the margarita flatbread and some wine and it was delicious. Service was quick and seamless. Jay and Leslie were cool and took care of me! I am excited to visit the property again. The people I encountered made it a great trip. read more

The level of incompetence by the front desk manager is mind blowing. Slow, lazy and downright rude. She has an attitude like she's something special. All you need to do as a front desk manager is 1. Do your job 2. Without the attitude 3. Follow up and make sure it was done correctly and in a timely fashion. Instead you're busy socializing with guests at the bar (seems like you're even drinking???), yapping on the phone and forgetting to fulfill guest requests. Why are you even here. However, the walls are thin you could hear someone upstairs moving furniture at night. My friends and I stayed here while were in town for an event and really enjoyed our stay. Immediately when I walked in I was impressed with how nice the place looked and how great it smelled. Check in process was a breeze and our hotel room was spacious, clean, and perfect for our needs. The front desk person recommended a restaurant to have lunch in and even gave us a coupon. His recommendation was outstanding! (The Rustic) We really liked the neighborhood it was in, close to downtown but actually had parking. I was particularly worried about parking since my buddy has a lifted truck and the garage wasn't an option. We easily found on-street parking and I am planning to stay at this location the next time I am in town. read more

There's no swimming pool. Valet staff and bartenders are very friendly. Rooms are modern, clean, and nicely decorated. Front desk staff are a bit rude. They don't have managers on site on weekends, nor a way to communicate with them in case of an emergency, at least that's what they told us. In my experience, front desk people would at least tell you that they would try to communicate with someone to see if our issue could be resolved. But in this case, we just got a reluctant NO from the front desk person. Though, our issue was resolved the same night... we opted to leave the hotel the next morning. read more

This is a nice hotel in a great area with an ideal location to walk to many bars & restaurants in uptown. It's only 10 months new so everything is in excellent condition with a friendly staff. Big rooms with a large separate sink area & toilet/shower room. Bummer that they don't have a pool! Ask for the city view, we unfortunately did not have one & faced parking structure. I was too lazy to change rooms. The food is kind of pricey. $18 for breakfast but they have free coffee & ladyfingers in lobby if prefer something light. A few coffeehouses a just a block or two away. A great touch is they give you a free wine taster (which is basically a small pour) between 6-7pm in the lobby bar. We enjoyed a nice merlot prior to heading out. read more

Great hotel in a great location in downtown Dallas. The rooms were spacious and we had a great view of downtown Dallas during the new year celebration. Rooftop lounge and outside patio with fireplace was awesome, and an awesome way to spend time with friends or loved ones. Location was great, with several fun places and wonderful restaurants within walking distance, and they even have a downtown trolley (that stops right outside the hotel) if you want to ride to a destination in the area, or just sight-see! We stay at Hilton bc we are honors member. We booked 2 rooms. We needed a room for us (couple) for 2 nights. And another room for my Inlaws for one night. I booked our room for 2 nights (Saturday and Sunday nights). We had to change the reservations for Friday and Saturday nights. Originally, our cost was $596. I should have paid attention when I needed to change the reservation. Still wanting 2 nights. We were billed $855. Quite a difference in price btw a Friday night stay and a Sunday night stay. I should have paid more attention to that billing change. That was my fault. And an expensive mistake. The 2nd room, our Inlaws, were charged $20 for valet. They didn't valet. They self parked. ***So my advice IF you stay here, check your bill carefully. **** There was a small snafu when checking in. The key machine wasn't working. So they checked us in but we had no key. It was resolved within the hour. The room was very clean. Very. Great job to the housekeeping staff. We had breakfast one morning and it was good. Our room was quiet. There was a problem with the "canopy" light. It would only turn off when we flipped the master light. Which made it very dark and inconvenient at night and when finding the bathroom in the middle of the night. My Inlaws canopy light worked so we know how it worked but it didn't in our room. The bedding was nice. Bathroom was spacious and clean. Our room was quiet and we got 2 good nights of sleep. My Inlaws were awoken at 1:45 am by other guests. There were 2 groups that were socializing loudly in their hallway. Another guest spoke abruptly with them and they quieted. And then about 30 minutes later he spoke with the 2nd group. And that solved the noise issue. The neighborhood this hotel is located is lovely. A cute dog park across the street. And fun shops too. Will we stay here again? Not sure. The hotel was great. But the price change was outrageous. $250 extra is unacceptable but my fault for not being more vigilant. read more

On 9/24/24 I was commuting to work on an electric scooter. I was just down the street from this hotel when I hit a bump in the road and fell. I bumped my head hard enough to break my helmet, cut open my eyebrow, get a swollen black eye, and was scraped up pretty badly. Someone at this hotel must have seen it happen because moments later an employee drove up in her car to ask me if I was ok. My memory is fuzzy, but I think her name is Marie and I think she said she is the Assistant Manager. I told her that I had called my husband to come pick me up. She mentioned that she worked at this hotel and asked me if I'd like to come and wait in the lobby rather than the planter I was sitting in on the street. She escorted me and my scooter down the street and inside, got me water, made sure I was feeling ok, and introduced me to the men at the front desk. They were all so kind and caring, and I can't thank them enough for coming to my aid and giving me a safe place to wait. I can't comment on the rooms, or what it is like to be an overnight guest, but the lobby is beautiful and the staff are top notch and clearly care. read more

This is a well-run and well-maintained hotel in Dallas's Uptown neighborhood. Just a smidge outside of downtown, you obviously have good proximity to central Dallas. Also, down at the street level, you have really excellent walkable access to alot of good stuff, e.g. bars, restaurants, etc. We really enjoyed just being able to walk down the block and have terrific food, and never have to bother messing with the valet for our car. Aesthetically, the rooms are budget-nice, if that makes any sense. There is a bit of understated style at work, but the feel is more like a business traveller's hotel than a luxury hotel. Whatever the vibe is, it is tasteful. We got pretty terrific service from all involved, be it the folks at the front desk or the ones who staffed the breakfast area. There is a pretty nice rooftop bar scene, where you get a pretty great view of the downtown skyline. A special shoutout has to be made for Stacey, the valet, who took good care of us and made great efforts to get to know us and make us feel welcome. The breakfast buffet included in our package is solid, and probably worth the extra pricing just given how convenient it is. The room had a drink chiller (in lieu of a fridge) and no microwave. But, we did have a Nespresso machine, which you really love to see :) The room rate is a bit steeper than what I'd normally like to pay, just generally, but it's a nice enough hotel and a good enough location to warrant paying out a bit more for those conveniences. To be honest, getting to experience Uptown by staying here and walking everywhere definitely justified the price point for us on this trip. Would I stay here again? Maybe! read more

My trip started off rocky, but the team made up for it in the end. I reserved a king suite with a view and balcony, I did not expect to be placed in a special needs room with only bed and office chair. I asked for help from the registration desk day 1-2 but didn't receive feedback or assistance, just sorry. (My meal and WiFi credit also were not provided) After writing a review on Hilton corp site during day-3, their local team reached out to me to make my stay more comfortable for the final couple of days by putting me in an executive suite. It was a kind gesture; I really wish I didn't have to write to corp for help. I'm a diamond member now so hopefully this type of issue would be resolved sooner next time. read more

Roof Top Bar - Very nice Boutique by Hilton to me = Hilton Garden Inn = no restaurant = very sad Garden Inn like breakfast overpriced at 15.00 a person (Basic Price) Rooms - although we did not receive the Corner King Suite with a Balcony - we did get a King Balcony Room. But the sliding doors did not lock properly - we had to fight to lock the door in any manner. The sliding door was not sound proof - which can and should be purchased to kill the road noise- the lack of sleep from the road and the car alarms going off from the apartment surrounding the hotel. This was to be a short time away to relax and sleep - much needed sleep - but this did not happen. Again, every single person that works at the Canopy are top notch read more

Don't trust them with your car. While I was there for a meeting, I valeted my car and two hours later I was pulled from the meeting because someone pulled a fire extinguisher out and threw it through my windshield. Surprisingly they said it had happened before even though my car was parked in the valet section. The vandalism is one thing but the Canopy hotel said they weren't liable. It cost me $700 to have my windshield replaced (the camera sensor had to be realligned at the dealership). Hilton wouldn't even so much as offer to pay a dime. Their management team stuck to the script and had a half a dozen people tell me it wasn't their fault and I was out. They didn't even offer to discount our rate or give us a credit. There a plenty of other options in the area for a lot less. read more

When I arrived at this beautiful hotel, I was taken aback by how homey yet modern it felt. The room is spacious and beautiful, very modern with touches of wood to pull in nature for a very meditative vibe. My favorite parts of the room: floor-to-ceiling windows; they give you a fresh loofa in the shower!; there's a Nespresso machine for morning coffee; each room has a fridge drawer; a reusable water jug with a fill-station down the hall; and USB ports built in to every outlet. Soooo, basically everything is my favorite! The gym is on the top floor, so it has great views from the treadmills, stair climber, rower, and elliptical; while the bike faces the mirror (I love that!). The gym also provides reusable (but fresh) headphones in case anyone forgot a pair. There are three different size balance balls, a BOSU, two different size boxes, a full set of dumbbells, and a cable machine. So many options for your own personal exercise! I opted for dinner at the rooftop bar, Upside. It overlooks the lit city but indoors feels like a study in a big manor house with exposed brick, cushy sofas, marble tables, and navy book cases. The bar serves fourteen-dollar cocktails named for famous women, small plates, and two desserts. I opted for one of each! My one note is that the service is slow to arrive, from the valet to the check-in desk, to service at the rooftop bar, it was slow to get someone's attention.
